  • The new guild boss is provoking some conversation about just who is best to handle him. I weigh in with my early take: let me know what you think of my choices in the comments below!
NB: this is version two after I realised I made an error in the original video, apologies for that.

your mentioning Haarken can reduce armor, but this doesn't work on GR boss. if you use Haarken you might as well bring Abaddon with you for additional damage output for Haarken

Very timely, thank you. My guild are just taking on the Legendary Rogal Dorn.

If you understand the mechanics of the tank, you don’t need high pierce ratio. You can completely control his ai by careful positioning. I even bring Tjark and he crits 100% of his hits, making his 1% pierce ratio irrelevant

Would love to see that if you have a video on here or Reddit :)

I used deathleaper as a budget jain zar. Not insane damage but he does deep strike and has infiltrate

Ulf gets multiple hits in if he’s next to the tank, and same with angrax if you park him next to the tank while it drives by. I wonder if all of these extra hits make them viable. I know they don’t have the highest crit chance with their attacks but worth a look?

I'm using a G1 Ulf with lvl 36 passive and he's doing fine! I'm not deep in better choices mind

Unfortunately this exploit has been patched. They still do 1 hit not 1 hit for every hex anymore

I think you're sleeping on several characters with potential:
Shadowsun has high pierce, infiltrate, has good mobility and can teleport.
Darkstrider has infiltrate, can double move with his active and a decent crit chance.
Finally Calandis is basically a guaranteed crit. Only one, but she can also double move with her active.
I wouldn't take all three in the same team necessarily, but any one of them could fill a hole.

It's the lack of pierce for Calandis that rules her out for me

Doesn't matter as much if she crits, but I'm thinking more she's a guaranteed crit towards switching off the overwatch. Plus she can smoke the adds pretty easy.
Again, not ideal but potential is there for those with limited rosters.

I use the spider for a lot of the guild raids. At my current strength level, the swarms it spawns are often the only units left by the last round!

Good comp, try to link Aethana and JZ to take advantage of their synergy more

  • @ClipsFromMaine

Why didn’t you move Aethana to the rear and try for a crit, instead of attacking the front?

Have you tried thutmose yet? Does direct damage and flies too?

I have a guildmate experimenting with an all psykers line up, he’s been doing alright… this tank is a pain. 😁

The initial strike against guardsmen should be made with Harkeen to buff his damage, I think… other than that I like it. But I’m still missing Jain.

Makothep has 65% pierce and can add +1Movement. If no better option at Hand

    Great video!
Thoughts on the Winged Prime? His passive is obviously a burden but I've found the tank almost always shoots and kills hormugants immediately due to how weak they are.

Ragnar's pierce is pitiful sadly, Ulf only has high enough pierce using his active

@@LordBuzzKillington I hear you. I’m thinking of a team that will multi hit and crit its way past the armor. New bosses are always fun to figure out!

You should kill at least one of the noob units with haarken in order to trigger the +1 hit on his passive which will give him another proc on eldryon for the rest of the fight

    • @dustinhaas8538
      @dustinhaas8538 7 месяцев назад

I don’t think he’ll get the extra hit, just some bonus damage, his passive says ‘character’ units which implies named units only, lmk if I’m wrong though
