A couple of the lakes I run on are in a gated community . I talked to the people that maintain the ponds and they told me that electric boats are benifical to the aeration of the water and attract fish. Gas and nitro they do prohibit because of possible contamination. My experience with’karens’ is that they think anything fun is illegal
@@ped200014 its the nitro thatthere worried about that stuff is toxic after all its also fuel so its a pullutant as well yes it organic but that does not mean its safe when it's burned

Those gated community caretaker folks make sense - the electric stirs up the water without putting any chemical contaminants in to it, that's gotta help with keeping silt moving and the like. If you've ever been around Top Fuel drag racing, yeah, Nitromethane is toxic as hell, so are most things that burn and release a lot of power.

Lol. I've ran my boat on ponds then turned around and started fishing and hammered the fish. So I know for a fact the boat don't scare the fish away. The old man jealous

As a fisherman and rc pilot i can insure that fish love rc boats! Every time i use my boat, i fish right after the last lipo, and fish are really active, and bites easy.

A spot in go, everytime I run there as soon as I'm done, big spashed from fish, I think it draws them in, but I've noticed that myself and am convinced I'm doing the fisherman a favor! Lol

@fordham_adventures8027 last winter I found UL19 in the unopened box on FB market. The guy was selling it for the same price he paid. He'd bought 2. I gladly bought it and I love that boat!
I'm learning a lot. I changed prop and put a curved fin on. It's still winter here and I've only had it out once.

Ive seen ospreys snag fish right in the middle of our race course before while running gas and Nitro motors. It won't scare the fish off too bad. Good speed with that thing, it's hauling.
I enjoy practicing my fly casting while folks are making speed runs with their rc boats in the pond behind my house. If you can snag one of those buggers, you can really target a nice bass hole.
He would definitely lose his mind if he knew I’m 57 with RC boats aircraft FPV quads. I’ve been in RC most of my life. You handled it well better than most people. I guess some people get to certain age, and they either feel a sense of entitlement or just angry that they are old I’m not sure which or both.

@@IRONCLADRC ive had people call the cops on me ripping my soncwake in a park area and they told the cops i was scaring the geese away and could be dangerous for them. The cops ended up wanting to see my boat rip and were impressed.

That baby is screaming! 89mph is fast. I hit an Aligator last weekend with my Fighter Cat Cheetah Twin at about 55 to 60 mph. It went airborne and luckily the rudder breakaway bolt did its job. I have to carry my Rock Island Armory 10mm pistol when I go in my canoe to retrieve my boats. I'd rather deal with Gators all day than wild grumpy old men.

I have been making and burning up boats for a few years now myself and have encountered this fisherman’s twin brother a few times. Hard to deal with someone that mutters and marble mouths their way thru what sounds like complaints, but isn’t really anything close to passable English to which any response is greeted with more muttering and an increase in volume usually. Mental health is not taken seriously enough in our country. However, at least here in the USA, you have the right to be there and enjoy the public space just as much as anyone else. So, your response was totally fine in my opinion. There was plenty of open shoreline for him to fish from so there was no need for him to confront you. I may have handled that very differently. Maybe wait for him to cast his line and then “accidentally” run across in with my catamaran at 70 mph. Oh, did I hit your line? My bad… 😏

Those first couple runs were beautiful We all know you would have pulled that boat out earlier after the cg change runs if it wasn't for that old man bitching but you just ran it around and Did some close passes messing with him 🤣 that was hilarious This video had everything excitement danger and then drama and comedy doesn't get any better than that

I'm sure there is plenty of spots around, and you were there first... I live in California and never had anyone complain, but always get irritated when people come by right next to were am when there is other areas to go.
It pisses me off when I’m minding my own business and someone has to approach me when I just want to be left alone I will talk to them but inside my blood pressure goes up hahaha
Damn that is a sweet boat. I recently got the Sonic Wake I did like you recommended I turned the trim tabs up about 1.5 turns ran it on Spektrum 6S put the packs under the front 2 straps and hit 53 out of the box!! I have the same problem with my gps app locking up I wish they would fix that.

So what is there left to do to break 90 mph? Or even faster? Do you change out the prop like on a full scale boat, change the motor to a lower rated kv( I think the lower the kv the faster correct me if I’m wrong) but what needs to be done to break that 90 mph and do it without flipping I’m assuming it’s the tricky part? And lastly what’s your final goal to reach? I subbed so I can hopefully see you achieve your goal

I am in my 60s and very much an RC enthusiast. No place to run a boat in KC unless you have private property unfortunately. There are signs in the parks expressly prohibiting RC boats.
I run into the same problem with people in their damn fishing lines you get there first, and they think that they can park in there and own the lake then the damn jet skis come and spoil it for everybody
Boating doesn't scare the fish away just their peace and quiet. I'm handicapped and pull right up to the pond. (Specially made) I've had people leave when they see my boats but the water is for everyone. Rc just gets a bad wrap

It's fact that fish are curious with bass boat's even , I see them on Active Target all the time when I roll up on a spot.
I'm back after a hiatus. Getting back on my 42". You beat Karen's "Darren" to the fishing spot, and he wasn't happy. He was expecting a calm morning lake with no one around, because it happens all the time. NOW, you'll have to be out there at the crack to beat him, because he will move his fishing clock up, to beat you down there. Next time have some coffee and donuts,,just for him if he show's. Kill them with kindness. Remind him that your model boats will cause fish to move around, for better odds at fishing. Remind him that you like to fish also, even if you don't. Remind him that people over the age of 58(shit) have hobbies as well. Remind him that fishing is a hobby, from the very young, to the very old.
If you would have plopped down a rc tugboat with fishing gear in tow, he would have loved it. Even more if you hooked something and brought it in.

Talking down, it's all people seem to do now. Your boat, your mod, they probably can't fold a paper airplane, old Karen there, I see atleast 300 yards of bank he could fish. I always wanted this boat from Horizon Hobby but rc planes and helicopters take all my money, but anytime I go somewhere close other than our flying field, someone will stop, or make it a point to try and run me off and I only fly if no1 else is around just to be safe. Mfrs today see someone enjoying themselves and, oh no no no, I'm miserable and don't have fun so he dant either, and usually thats when I bring in the heli and idle up to 1600 so it's a flying saw and they usually leave, especially when they see how quick it can pitch and yaw in almost every orientation

What batteries are you running? Have you ever tried High Voltage lipo or called LiHV? They run just a bit more voltage and that may be all you need to bust past 90mph. The LiHV batteries require a different setting on the charger therefore a new charger if yours does not charge them up. I noticed your turn fin barely has a curve to it the one I got has a HUGE curve in it and I was thinking about straightening it out a bit, it's the Mojo Racing from offshoreelectrics.

We get the same kind of ignorant folks whem flying model airplanes..wild rabits hopping and playing at our backs in the pits, coming right up to but not crossing the flightline, robins landing & foraging alongside plane on final approach as planes landing, not getting in front of, surrounded by bank swallows eating bugs we stir up, and the occasional osprey, hawk or eagle soaring with our gliders..turkey vultures are most common lingering birds @ altitudes, we share thermals..meanwhile we are surrounded by songbirds, turkeys..
Ya..we mind our planes, the planes aren't chasing any wildlife, we all get along..till someone agressive shows up...

Looks like your interested in straightaway speed. My RUclips picture has my boat, almost exactly like the Proboat. I have a 4074, 1700KV motor on 8s in it. I only use the curved turn fin for circle track racing. It keeps the boat planted in the turns. My boat has hit 94.6mph on straightaway. I used a straight fin angled inward about 5 degrees for that. I found the curved fin had too much drag for straight runs. With the curved fin running a circle track, my GPS logs the top speed at about 83mph. I also added a front canard on my boat. It's angled down at 4 degrees, but it's an inverted wing. The bulge side of the wing faces downwards. As the boat tries to lift, flow increases under the wing creating negative lift, bringing the boat back down. You got the vision, keep on your track!
Is that a vortex 34 your running, I'm in the process of getting one tuned in, I had to replace my rudder, started with a tfl rudder ended up installing a speedmaster 1" w/1 5/8 setback havnt tested the new rudder yet
Back when I was racing nitro boats really heard from the bass fishing in the boats attracted the fish to the vibration the props calls in water the vibrations props causing the water attractions specialty Bass

UL19 was one of proboats most popular models, I'd say there's a 10 out of 10 chance there gonna make a newer version

you do realize that a kinard works opposite of an elevator because its forward of the cg. So if you ush the front of the kinard down further, like i think you said, that would lift the bow and push down on the stern.
I put a little more down force on the front wing, pushing/keeping the bow down, in return i gues it would lft the transom. CG being the pivot point push front down, lift aft
Perhaps a tiny bit more prop pitch.
After you put the boat up you should have busted out a quadcopter and seen how the old man reacted.

Should reduce drag quite a bit, next outing we'll try it.
Good run 👍🏼 but the drop in speed means the batteries are probably draining unless you changed them out. Leave it to people to ruin your day, it never fails. 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤯

Gonna have to use a saw to cut the foam out or melt it.. I've used a red hot piece of metal to melt hard to reach foam out of a boat and use the hot metal like a knife to cut the foam out.

@11:37... I used a couple of receiver powered pumps to keep my hydro cool. They come on the moment you turn the receiver on, and pick the water up instantly. I have a 1970s Prather Lap-Cat II converted to electric, running a 160-amp Turnigy ESC and an 1105kv Turnigy Aquastar 3660 motor, both water cooled. With just a water pickup rudder I barely got any water flowing, and in barely two minutes my ESC hit the over-temp shutdown, while the motor was reading 184°. I put these pumps in and I could put my hand on both of them after five minutes of full throttle running. It's a little weight penalty, but it's worth it for the security of knowing nothing is going to catch fire.

Mir reichen Geschwindigkeiten um 50 km/h (30 mph) um Spaß zu haben und mir ist es lieber etwas länger fahren zu können als möglichst schnell zu sein .
"Karen" gibt es auch in Deutschland sehr nervig und fast alle Angler hassen RC Boote denn die sind immer schuld wenn sie keinen Fisch fangen .
Einmal hatte ich einen angler erlebt der mit seiner Angel nach meinem Boot geworfen hatte , ende der Aktion war leichte Beschädigungen an meinem Boot und kaputte Angelrute .
Seine Angelrute ist gebrochen als er mich getroffen hatte und ich Vollgas gegeben hatte und er mußte den Schaden selber bezahlen so wie die an meinem Boot .
I have an Insane FE30 that runs something to that. I have never clocked it though. We have turtle problems. I have ruined a chit load of props.
