  • Truck Leaf Spring Bushing Removal, And Leaf Spring Bushing Replacement
Hey guys were working on an 88 C3500 and this is the first time we have actually done leaf spring bushings. They don't wear out too often, but we got new one's with the shackle kit and figures why not? I've always heard everyone complain about how hard they are but really there not. Just a few correct tools and a little time.

Thanks for this video! It was very educational for someone whose ‘97 1-Ton van needs new leaf spring bushings! It helps me see what the mechanics will be dealing with.

Awesome video and instruction guys!! Brilliant idea to use the ball joint press. I have the bed off of my Silverado 1500 to replace the shock mount cross members (ugh... rust never sleeps!) and the spring braces, shackles and rear bushings. Thanks for posting this!!

When I replaced the bushings on my FJ60 I just torched the old bushings. Not environmentally friendly but saved a lot of headache.

I had it from AutoZone several times, the ball joint tool kit....you can have it for couple of days for free...then you return it...they just take some deposit I believe. ...I have used it on some other bushings before...it works...you need to improvize little bit...and do it in steps like these guys did in this video. Great job btw
