That is not what I was told. My Ender 6 was pretty much DOA from day 1, and I was told that Creailty would not help me because I did not buy it from them. The printer is still dead a year later, and I've given up on it, never got a single print out of it.
My aluminum rails 1 and 2 were labeled (no, don't drill the acrylic!). Rotate pieces 1 and 2 by 180 degrees, and nothing needs drilling or realigning. Just a note for all you out there who are about to shatter your acrylic trying to drill it. Other than that, the build process was easy as cake. (assuming you understand assembly process)
I turn my printer on, select settings, then Level.. the needle moves to the back right hand position, and the LCD display reads, Please wait minutes... and that's how its been for 2 hours.. can't click anything on the screen, and the fan is running.. but its not doing anything. . HELP !
Can see yous have listened to the people i have seen a lot of things that have been changed that many people pleaded for and wallah you guys come through, tidied it up nicely this new setup, wires are cleaner and not sticking out everywhere, the corner pieces and side walls are a nice touch also
I was looking forward to this, as i have two Ender 3's and a regular Ender 5, all heavily upgraded and modded. Yet, no auto bed leveling and that very poor design of the part cooling system are unacceptable in what is sure to be an expensive machine, probably more than an Ender 5 Plus or a CR10 V2/V3.
Very good Creality, ... I have at least 7 printers of you, and I am very happy with them. So you make me another more advanced printer and I still have to install a separate BL touch automatic level? .. paying almost $ 600 dollars plus taxes? So much money they have made this year and they don't want to invest a few pennies so that their customers have a complete product. And yes, please the third parties who scam us by selling upgrades that sometimes do not have the quality or the support of your company. Very sad.
I agree. After owning several printers with and without auto-leveling it's a dealbreaker to me, i will never buy one without it even if it costs $100 more that's fine.
where can i get a close up on the wiring? this ivdeo is hard to see on and the manual has so small text its virtually unreadable.. and i cant find a PDF or something on the webpage its kinda driving me nuts... also i find the use of a blue ink for the text highly objectional... along with the size its amazingly hard to read... i just got it reable now but i had to freaking use my camera phone to photo the manual with the flash so i could size this up... the manual is terrible and the video is not very clear here either...
bed leveling is so simple. i don't get why chinese manufacturers can't get it right. there's too many methods and all are cheap af there's the linear gear with the switch on a gear with a spring there's the servo + optical/mechanical endstop (the servo only retracts the pin after you're done, so no inaccuracies, tho i heard even if you screw a switch directly you're gonna get good accuracy anyway) for a company like creality you can easily make a coil and all and make a bltouch

love the design but! i cant figure out why it has plexiglass enclosure. the top is open hot air rises!! totally useless part of the machine design if you ask me.
@@hongtse6723 I agree, my first 3D printer was terrible printing ABS. That was 4 years ago, but I found out if I just put a box around the sides to keep out the drafts, NO TOP, that printing with ABS was a snap.
I'll wait for the plus model... I like the printer, looking to buy one of these, but my Robo C2 has Auto bed leveling and that came out in 2017. And I wish we can get away from the Bowden tube and go direct drive

Creality seems to be going down the path of more variety but low innovation this printer reminds me of the CR-10 V3 which they released just a few weeks ago
Is that a Core-XY or H-bot? If it costs about 600$ it’s a great value. Enclosed, Core XY, with all metal extruder, this can be a true reliable ABS machine. Many people prefer linear rails, not me, those wheels are smoother, more accurate, stiff enough, adjustable, cheap and easy to maintain. For me this can be an excellent machine. If the price is right. Would like to see strain based auto bed leveling like the ender from kickstarter. This machine can kill competition if done right. Please keep it open source to let community help along the way.
@@rickb1444i hope the extruder is not the plastic one on ender 3. As it doesn`t have the strength or durability of metal extruders. The hot end should also be all metal as the PTFE tube prevents printing ABS safely.
Why can't Creality just make Ender 6 a fully enclosed 3d printer? why semi-enclosed? Also, I would like to know if there will be a MAX or a Pro version of Ender 6 in the near future? I my opinion, it's better to wait at least 6 months before buying any new product. Better to wait until the community resolves any issues first and wait for the price to drop to buy this Ender 6.
Because someone else hasn't made one that they can rip off yet. They don't have a original thought that's why their printers are all running Marlin 1.1.6 instead of Marlin 2.0.X
Well that is a MASSIVE let down! Enclosing a printer REQUIRES that the WHOLE printer be enclosed bottom, sides, ....AND TOP. You went down the field but sat down and started celebrating 5 feet from the goal! Come on Creality you know BETTER then this and the ONLY way for the enclosure to be of ANY use would need to INCLUDE a TOP cover!
There is a benefit to having only the sides enclosed. Yes top as well would be better but it is a big improvement over no sides. Professional printers maintain something like 100C internally, with an open top you get maybe 20C above ambient in the build plate area which is still an improvement.
not sure if anyone here from creality cares but some points I thought I mention as someone who wanted a 3d printer first: overall good looking printer but PLEASE switch that extruder for something like a BMG clone or a geared dual drive second: being enclosed is a HUGE freaking plus. that alone made me wanna buy this third: that cantilever design looks really bad on a 250x250 printer, but for that one I'm gonna give it a chance, since I haven't seen it in person fourth: please don't advertise that hotend as 260 and put an option for a PROPER all metal hotend. I hate those hotends. one of the reason I didn't go with your printers. I print a ton of petg/abs/polycarbonate fifth: please swap that crappy glass ultrabse style thing for a pei sheet or even clonetack. but that's easy enough to do on my own so no complains sixth: please use a proper bed. an AC one even. your beds are so incredible slow to heatup and this is also one of the main reasons i diddn't go with your brand seventh: a bed leveling sensor can cost 1$ or less. for the love of god include one there's basically TOO many methods for bed leveling. just put a switch that's connected with a spring to a linear gear that hits the two sides of the carriage, an optical endstop with a pin and a linera servo, an optical endstop with a coil at the top (bltouch expect with optical endstops) the list just goes on and on eighth : those nice tmc drivers are useless when you use 0.05$ fans that are louder than a vaccum cleaner. EDIT: the top is... open? you guys enclosed the bottom/left/right and left the FRIGGING TOP the main heat dissipation point open? what the actual heck? what's the point of this whole thing then? why bother?

Yesterday I saw a very interesting video on youtube regarding to Ender 5 which apparently has a problem burning power supplies off, because they are under-resigned. The new Ender 6 looks nice yes, although it to me seems like Creality had choose the worst construction of an ender 5 combined with a Cr-10s pro v2, which means the machine can cause serious problems. So no one should buy some of the printers you can get in China without being a technician, because you will need it no matter what type of printer it is and the price should be 1/3 of what it is now, since warranty and services in China do not exist. Therefore, it may be interesting to hear Creality who shalll pay when the new Ender 6 starts to break and burn power supplies off? Does Creality pay for them to be sent for repair? And who will pay for all the machines they send out with bugs, errors and omissions! if the machine is ever going to work at all. How will Creality make sure customers not are been cheated the way they do now? And how will Creality secure the customers who are not technicians? Anyone buy a 3d printer because it has to work as if you buy a regular printer, car or similar that there are some who want to play technician it something completely different and their case, but how will Creality sure the regular user? for the construction you have chosen on the machine which means that it can’t keep a print standard in a way that can be used for anything and Creality has again chosen a too small power supply which will constantly work on overtime and therefore burn off, will Creality pay for the service the machine will be needed to get, plus various parts that need to be replaced? For all the new and old customer remember you can see allot on youtube about 3d printer but also remember most of them get free 3d printer from Creality and so on. Pfff..very expensive for a DIY kit that is so small volume no autobed leveling sensor and no flexible bed to remove. Creality has risen prices a lot in last year but offers shady quality from the experience of owners. Uses scam techniques like kickstarter, that are reserved for new companies, to push beta testing products, keeps pum[ing up new models with ever increasing price but not solving out existing problems for reliability and not giving 2020 minimum standard equipment and capabilities. Lets see in 6 months if this printer will be any good or if the owners will be scammed when creality pushes other "new" products.

At 5:43 When you connected the Extruder cable to the board, you used the Y-labeled cable instead... this caused my mother a lot of confusion.

How do you not have auto bed leveling on this?!? You could have easily used the strain gauge from the CR6-SE!

The enclosure doesn’t create an environment. It has no effect on temperature or dust. It’s just cosmetic

I think it's moslty for drafts, hot air rises and there for the cold air doesn't go in from the top.

It does not have a metal extruder. According to one RUclipsr, the PTFE tube goes all the way down to the nozzle.

Creality has risen prices a lot in last year but offers shady quality from the experience of owners.
Uses scam techniques like kickstarter, that are reserved for new companies, to push beta testing products, keeps pum[ing up new models with ever increasing price but not solving out existing problems for reliability and not giving 2020 minimum standard equipment and capabilities.
Lets see in 6 months if this printer will be any good or if the owners will be scammed when creality pushes other "new" products.

Creality sure shines like Chinese companies always do.
Sell one as a kit without these crappy things and you would see how fast the sale goes on.

This printer is the worst thing I’ve ever bought and gave me a nasty electric shock. Avoid this company. There’s so many better brands. These are very much cheap diy printers. Don’t be fooled by the nice looking printer like I was. It was literally a £500 box of faults and stress

Do not buy anything from creality it is a rip-off
Save up some more money and buy a sourceforge printer it's real quality and a true quality control.

How do I move the switch to 110 volts?
if your ender 6 plug is availiable for 110 volts, no need to move.
