No one does those back illusions quite like Tchachina. This routine is amazing! The variety, the presentation, the dance, the music, the leotard, even the ribbon all came together so perfectly.
I understand that Irina made a big mistake in her final ribbon routine that pushed her into second place , but her routines overall were much more nicely and cleanly done than Kabaevas , and notto eve mention that IRINAS routines were much more difficult and had more jumps, throws , technique and catches than Kabaevas ! I still cannot BELIVE she didn't win gold.
Alina kabaeva was the olympic champion there🙂 .. They have different styles and that does not mean that tchachina has been better than Alina, because if tachina has more jumps and all that, Kabaeva has more bodily difficulties such as difficult backs, so much so that there are bodily difficulties that have his name like the famous KABAEVA 😘

I like this Code, I like the variety in the routines, while still having the emphasis of the certain skill. I also like how not leap has back arch and that there is diversity in the moves.

The fact that it wouldn't have made a difference is proven by the fact that Alina still beat Irina in qualifying and that Irina only got 26.725 for this performance. It definitely should've been in the 27s. Ah, this is the one time she brought out her best stuff in qualifying, and look what happened to her in finals.
Though 7 years have already passed since the Olympics in Athens everyone knows perfectly well that the real Olympic champion of 2004 is Irina Tchachina. Please listen to sports commentators and prefessionals all over the world. Her olympic silver is one the biggest injustice in the history of rg. Her truly golden performances (despite a ribbon mistake) were not superseded by anybody then.

Kanaeva tiene cualidades y calidad a raudales, es tremenda, pero no como para calificarla como la mejor gimnasta de la historia, hay gimnastas que la superan en algunos aspectos.
WHY couldn't this be her finals performance and not her qualifying performance? Her only problems were a bent leg in the element she messed up o in the finals and a loss of balance in the anti-illusions. Second to Kabaeva in finals is just not fair, if it had been one of the Ukranians, OK. Not that it would've changed the outcome if she performed like this in the finals.
I can understand that many people prefered Tchachina to Kabaeva because of her beautiful face, long elegant legs, gentle allure, slim body etc.etc. but this was not a Miss Olympics competition. Kabaeva had very difficult routines and no major mistakes. Tchachina made a huge mistake in the last rotation and also a mistake with the clubs. The final score showed a huge difference.
For me it has nothing to do with their bodies or faces. I just liked Tchachina's style a lot more than Kabaeva's ( I also loved Almudena Cid, Peycheva, Bessonova 100 times better than Kabaeva). I recognise Kabaeva strength in flexibility, but to me she was ONLY that, when Tchachina had good flexibility, good spins, extreme dynamism, great and original apparatus handling ( which kabaeva lacked a lot imo), routines with various styles (Kabaeva only knew to smile, there wasn't different emotions). I just rewatched the 2004 Olympics final, and I was hoping to end up with a better opinion of Kabaeva after all these years. I didn't. I loved Bessonova, Almudena Cid (her ball routine 😍), Peycheva, Tchachina, they all had amazing and memorable routines, I really enjoyed Godunko's ribbon. I found every routine of Kabaeva pretty bland in comparison, and I was really underwhelmed by her apparatus handling ( not super difficult and messy).

The music is horrible... And she looks sad as always. But the routine is great, very well performed and clean. Too bad what happened in finals, but well... Kabaeva also lost her gold medal in Sydney because of a stupid mistake. Bad luck, anxiety. I wish Tchachina would've been in Beijing.
