Wow! I've watched a slew of van, mini-van, car, suv conversions for camping...but yours is a work of art. Ok, someone in that family is an engineer, gotta be, ha. Great job with the tour as well. So sorry for the loss of Betty, can't wait to see what you convert next.
I have my mini van converted to a camper and have been looking at different slide-out kitchen ideas. You have done an amazing job, especially having to work around a car seat!
So sorry to hear about Betty - she was a beautiful build. We traveled with 3 as well last summer in a newer Sienna version and loved it. Great gas mileage and stealth camp anywhere. We have a kitchen in the back and my two kids were buckled in the back bench seat with the full bed under their legs. We did a similar hammock/cot in front for my 9yo. I’m thinking of lowering the bed down so we get more headspace but then we’ll lose storage which means more frequent laundry trips. For those asking about the toilet and shower - never had an issue finding a restroom (restaurants, grocery stores & gas stations) and we used baby wipes and washed our hair with 2 liter water bottles. We’ve seen half of the states so far. Love seeing how others do it too, thanks!
You guys ROCK! Such great use of space and ideas.... So far we only have our window shades made and our camp kitchen purchased, over the winter we will build up our power options and bedding etc, slow but sure hoping to hit the road by spring with our van :)
WOW! This design, in my opinion, is the most impressive, camper conversion I've seen. "Innovative" is putting it mildly! I'd like to watch another video with step by step instructions on building your camper, so creative and excellent presentation; sorry about the accident.
Rip Betty, I Just have to agree with everybody else this is a fantastic build, it's checks all the boxes, gets good gas mileage, inexpensive base vehicle and an inexpensive build. Even one more box that I didn't mention is that it just flat works. I came with some good ideas, sash cord for the curtains was great. Thanks so much for taking the time to share.
A beautifully thought out conversion with a place for everything. Like another commenter said, a roof carrier would double the storage. Awnings or tarps would also add exterior room in the rain or hot, sunny days. I’m sorry about Betty, and I hope the family was all safe and healthy after the accident. I hope Betty 2.0 is in the works. Thanks for sharing!
Yes awning was on the list but kinda fit everything we needed inside and didnt want to disburb the gas milage for a roof carrier plus this one actually didn't have roof racks either. The New Betty is 90% complete stay tuned video is comming soon!
What a great way to remember Betty and pass on ideas and lessons. Thank you and well done on making do with a simple design without many bells and whistles you see these days, and also having some neat ideas like the curtain lines around the visors and the slide out bed support rails with grab handles. All the best for your next camper.
I wish I found your video before building our SUV and curtains... Now I feel like I spent so much time and effort in ours and I like yours better! Lol... You guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing
I love your camper, especially the sleeping arrangements. Love how you have ample space for yourself and hubby and the baby to all be very comfortable, and love the kitchen/cooking area. Enjoy your travels!
INCREDIBLE! I'm looking at getting a Sienna ( I love them ) for me and my baby, and building something similar granted we have to keep the car seat in .
Very efficient. Good use of space, an amazing 3-sided kitchen, and little damage to the original van. That kitchen box makes other designs look ineffective.
The space optimization is impressive, and that double slide out on the kitchen is well designed! Cooking might be a little challenging in inclement weather but one could always rig up a tarp. Question; what’s the space between the front seats and the rear hatch? I’m 6’4” and wondering if I would fit… thanks for your presentation of a well thought out built.
Helpfull to see a build including a child seat. I have a sienna and a 15 month old and a dog! I would make am awning for the kitchen and do a roof box for extra storage and be good. Thanks for the ideas.
You have some very clever ideas in your build that I've never seen before. I like the way your curtains cover the front windshield... the way your pull out kitchen is to the side, and the bed you made for your son! I've seen a similar bed, but nothing as good as yours. Great going!
Very well done...both the van build and the video. Liked them enough to become a subscriber today. Looking forward to more videos, including of course, some "on the road." Thank you for your creative ideas and hard work. Sorry to hear about your run-in with a deer, but looking forward to your replacement vehicle and how you arrange it. Be safe and best wishes!
I love the Van build... great ideas... the kitchen slide out is genius. Gosh so sorry for the accident... Hope you was not hurt. total the van on my gosh how awful.
Wow! That’s actually real innovative! When I started watching the video I thought that’s a very small bed for 3. people. Lol. I’ve never seen the front seats used like that. Awesome. Great job! Too bad you need the flip top area for the extra 2 suitcases, that would be a great please to put a potty and be discreet. 🙊
Great Build! Sorry to hear of the loss of Betty, not sure how you will be able to improve over this build, but with your obvious talents I am sure you will. Good Luck!
Удивительно, как всё чётко распланировано! Пересмотрела множество видео по максимальному задействованию пространства в автодоме,...но это "переплюнуло" их все! Если бы могла поставила бы 2 лайка)) Респект девушке с ребёнком!!!
That was a wonderful build. I just subscribed so I can look for more videos on Betty, specifically if there are plans or measurements for the kitchen. Your curtains are great as well. So sorry you lost Betty but your child was getting to the maximum fit of his front bed. Mo in NJ
This is great! I will be travelling with four dogs and planned to use the front cabin space with a hammock as you have done, but I like your design idea more because it is less weight. My plan was to have a hard wood platform that would double outside the van as an adjustable height table during the day. Your curtains are great too because you don't have to find a place to store them somewhere in the van the way you would with harder window reflectix, foam, or covered cardboard cutouts. So sorry to hear Betty was relieved of her duties by an errant deer. I hope you are able to replace her with another even more perfect adventure van. - Alis
This is amazing!!!! I would love to know more. I am very much interested in duplicating your ideas. I've watched this twice now and it's perfect!!!!! My name is Lisa. New subscriber here!!!!
Brilliant! I'm impressed by the bed and curtains (I think I'll use the curtain idea in my minivan), very impressed by the kitchen, and most impressed by the creative child's cot. This maximizes the camping utility of a minivan in a way that I haven't seen before.
2:54 scared the crap out of me! I thought the stove blew up! 😅😂
Awesome setup! Inspiration for my build for sure!
Definitely one of the best minivan conversion I've seen, awesome job...

I've seen a lot of videos. I've never that much Storage spaces in a Van. Wow. Wonderful Built
Someone is a genius in that famIly👍
I believe that would be the father 😊
Very clever build. That kitchen slide out -- super nice. Sorry to hear about the van getting totaled.
Sad news
Hope everyone was okay
I was not expecting the ending. 😢 Betty was great!! Thank you for sharing her conversion.
This is super smart! I love the pull out kitchen and the curtains idea! ❤️🇺🇸🧚🏻♀️
Wow kitchen on the slide freakin smart thank you!!
Love the child's bed!!! I'm so sorry Betty and the deer hit each other 😢
Great job. Just missing a porta potty.

@Karen Young ~ I know this is an old video, but what happened to their van? This is the only video. Do you know them personally? Thanks 😃
I'm wondering too🌹
@@NoProGoPronto hit a deer and totalled
I really appreciate how thorough you were with your tour-thanks for the effort !
That is an ingenious childbed arrangement
Very nice build. Extremely functional.
Great conversion. I am so sorry for your loss

First time I'm seeing someone use suitcases and seems like such a genius mom thing to do!
Brilliant design!! Possibly/probably the most economical/practical use of space in a minivan buildout that I have seen! Great job!
You might want to consider a lp gas warning sensor with that tank inside your van!
The bag that it is stored in looks like a dive bag that “zips” closed so any leak would be contained.
Really nice build. Well thought out. Hopefully you can get a brand new Sienna, now with 300 hp !
fantastic job! The kids bed design in the front is ingenious.
I wish I found your video before building our SUV and curtains... Now I feel like I spent so much time and effort in ours and I like yours better! Lol... You guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing
I added a roof top cargo carrier. It's like having a garage. I'm short so I have to have a step-ladder to access all of it.
I'm must say that I likes how y'all made the conversion into a tiny motorhome and i love the kitchen...
I'm so sorry to hear about the deer accident ! This is a really nice build!
I love your camper, especially the sleeping arrangements. Love how you have ample space for yourself and hubby and the baby to all be very comfortable, and love the kitchen/cooking area. Enjoy your travels!

Very good build. Go and have good vacation.

I love your set up! Very clean. Thanks you for this video. Hope to see more.
I saw the pull out drawer from the bed on the RUclips thumbnail and IMMEDIATELY said I LOVE THIS🗣😭👏🏽
Very efficient. Good use of space, an amazing 3-sided kitchen, and little damage to the original van. That kitchen box makes other designs look ineffective.
Wow. What an awesome conversion🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Sorry about the accident
A lot of good ideas ! The child bed is next level awesome . Best wishes from Daytona Beach , Florida .
This was really great. I love the Kitchen. Haven't seen that exact format before. Thanks for sharing.
That is a fantastic set up for a family of three. Nice job
Cutest. Spacious. There is absolutely EVERYTHING in there. And oh so neat & handy. THE BEST EVER
That kitchen! All of the details are amazing! Well done 👏

Awesome van build, sorry for your unfortunate event, but glad the three of you are ok. I hope you get to rebuild.
Wow! Absolutely fantastic! So many genius Ideas sprinkled in there. Well done.

Excellent build. Very clean and organized. Lots of useful storage.
Really smart layout to fit 3 of you in there plus needed gear. I look forward to the next version!
This is a nice build! I like the idea of using suitcases.
Brilliantly thought out. Love the kitchen the most.
