First time I thought it was cringeworthy , cliched drivel but then I realised it's actually one of these rare examples of the " So bad : It's good " category. So listened again and actually " enjoyed " it... ( if that's the right word ? ). Very odd.!
@richardewald9545 I ve just seen the cast for this elsewhere and it consists of David March( Main character) Gudrun Ure and Rona Anderson...I also thought that the extremely talented Jon Pertwee played the main character but it wasn't ✌️🏴

@ Georgina You couldn't hear it ?? A lucky escape . ! This is one of these plays in the category : So bad , it's good . Every cliche about Scotland is squeezed in !! Once you get past that ghastly woman in first 5 minutes it improves !.....Slightly !

It was produced in 1965, so yes it's dated. It's almost 60yrs old.

Please can you provide a cast list. Was the main character John Hurt?
I didn't have a problem with the audio volume at all. My question is who was in the cast. John sounded like Jon Pertwee.

Really boring and repetitive. There went 1 1/2 hours I can never get back.
Could've been worse ? The Archers Omnibus lasts even longer !
