It was NEVER a "constitutional right" it's not outlined ANYWHERE in the actual text of the constitution. Not abortion, not the "right to privacy". The right to privacy is only implied not explicitly outlined and not in the context abortion rights activists are insinuating.
GOP - keep it up. America won't rest on this issue until the right of women's reproductive autonomy is returned to each woman and her physician in complete privacy. Can you imagine the uproar if men's prostrate health was determined by the State or Federal government?

For the thousandth time: The court did not "take away" a woman's right to an abortion. The court read the Constitution and courageously and honestly stated that there never was such a right. And, according to the Constitution, all rights not explicitly delegated to the federal government remain with the states and with the people. Great ruling. Brave court.

The Supreme Court ruled several times that Abortions was a legal Right. Just because it's not in the Constitution doesn't mean it's not legal. There are many things considered Rights, not in the Constitution. Owning and driving Cars, is considered a Right as long as the Driver is qualified.

@@syav4467 I’m all in favor of states having more autonomy. Even red and blue states don’t always have the same culture and needs as their respective similar politically inclined counterparts. California isn’t New York. West Virginia isn’t Florida. If it were my decision, the federal government would consist of the military, VA, CIA, border security, and congress/Supreme Court. Any public health care, food stamps, welfare, college assistance, low income housing, etc… would be at each state’s discretion. We could reduce federal tax by 75% and fund what I mentioned, then allow states to raise taxes based on their own needs/wants and any social programs they do or don’t want. Let’s face it, no 2 states are alike, and people in this country will NEVER truly get along. If we’re going to be tribal, then do it on a smaller more focused level. I’m more conservative leaning, and have no desire to force my beliefs on people in places like Sacramento. In that same respect, I’d like them to leave me the hell alone too.

That the Court is an "activist" court is not a universal cop-out, an activist court is when the Court makes decisions not consistant with the Constitution of the United States. It's not a term "everybody" throws around when they don't get they're way.

Where in the constitution does it say there is a right to access? Nowhere because abortion was considered immoral and illegal when the constitution was written - how can it be constitutional then? All their other claims don't hold up - it isn't a health issue in a lot of cases, don't talk privacy and body rights after how the government dealt with the bug(and those are a stretch to begin with). This was never constitutional and they know it, they just didn't expect the court to overturn it after all this time and they got caught with their pants down because they had 50 years to make it law but didn't bother and now it's come back to bite them.

Tired of this political LIE being told over and over again. The truth of this issue (and many others) is the fact that if the leadership of this Nation were to actually do their jobs, this issue (etc..) would not be.
