Regarding the Logitech Doorbell, Apple with iOS 15 changed the preview to be cropped into the frame, so you no longer can see everything without pressing and actually activating the full view - very annoying. Also, this doorbell is sensitive to heat and it will shut down and go offline. My front entrance is shaded and yet it goes offline few times through out the day on a hot day and I live in midwest, so I am not talking California,Texas, or Florida hot. Sadly there are no good alternatives, which is the biggest downside of HomeKit for me. The same goes with Carbon Monoxide sensors, or ceiling fans - there are no real options, at least in the US.
Another great video, thanks for keeping us up to date. I tried to install the Circle View doorbell today, but really struggling with the power. Did you connect through a existing doorbell chime and transformer or is yours set up to just use the home pods as the chime? It seemed to be really sensitive to the power input. I really need to find a transformer / chime unit that works well with it if anybody has any suggestions. Thanks
I just want to know if i have philips hue light and bridge and aquara sensors can it both work on homepod mini or do i have to buy aquara bridge for aquara sensors, does separate accessories needs separate apps and brdiges or it can work solo on homepod mini???
It looks like a great device. I'd love to be able install this but despite being promised for release in Australia early 2021, still no indication when it will actually arrive? The availability of homekit tech in Oz is woeful.
Do you need to set the nanoleaf essential bulb to use thread? I’ve had it in my living room close to 2 HomePod minis and it’s awful how long it always takes to become responsive on our phones
that is weird, my nano leaf responds pretty much in real time and it's not near a HomePod (but is near an Eve) I don't think that's a placement issue, as said make sure it's updated to the latest firmware (everything you have)
@@HomeKitAuthority not with the essentials. You can turn off Bluetooth and still control them. I isolated it to being the latest beta and not nano leaf cuz other devices aren’t dropping the connection like my phone on newest beta is

I live in the U.K. and we get temps up to about 35. This doorbell is in the shade, so maybe that’s why it’s never overheated.
Does the Logitech doorbell camera ever go on sale? I can’t seem to find any info on deals.

Eve products are great but they really are overpriced. I would buy a number of them if they were more reasonable.

I’m also in Australia and totally agree, for some reason we are 5 years behind! It’s also because we are on 240v instead of 105v like the US

No, it should be automatic. You need to be running the lastest firmware

I don’t think that is the case, according to Nanoleaf the updates are done over Bluetooth.
