    Excellent video. You mentioned at the beginning that the yarn was hand painted, do you have a tutorial for that?

    I’m studying textile design in Hamburg, Germany. Instagram recommended a short of yours to me. Because of a comment you put in the Instagram video, I found your website and blog. Your blog linked me to this RUclips video. I am only 2m24s in, but can I please already just point out how aesthetically pleasing your close-up video how-to is from how beautiful your hands look to the harmonious color matching of turquoise ring to the turquoise in the hand-painted yarn, the same medium dark gray of the polymer clay matching the medium dark gray linen background, and finally the cream orange nail polish serving as an exciting complementary color to the turquoise (but it’s also a muted cream so it doesn’t distract from the main action). My eyeballs are in love. 😍

    I crochet and don't know how to knit and this made me feel very confident and capable of using my new icord tool. Thanks for a great tutorial. I'm not even scared to screw up now because I know I'll be able to frog the cord and fix it thanks to you.

    This is so helpful! Is there any way to use this cast on for a four needle icord tool?

    • @LauraNelkin
      @LauraNelkin  Месяц назад

      Yes you can! Just do it over one more needle!

    Thank you for this video! I have a collection of i-cord tools and I’m trying to “get smart” on all the ways I can use them. This video goes a long way to help with that.

    Thank you for another great live. I was in Dublin, Ireland last month. I visited the "This Is Knit" yarn store. I dropped your name; I was elated when they said they know you! Have you visited the Avoca Mill in Wicklow, Ireland? I found it extremely interesting.
    You asked what book I would recommend reading, well I've been trying to find at my local libraries the book "Listen for The Lie" by Amy Tintera. This was recommended by a knitting group friend. I hope it is worth the read.
    I hope you have a safe trip to Ireland.

    For the Cuentas collar binding off on beaded strands... Do you do the loop reduction bind off after you have done the 4 plain (after beads are gone) 3knits? Also, how do we count the rows? Do we just pick a column of "v"s and count? lol! ❤

    • @LauraNelkin
      @LauraNelkin  21 день назад

      Ah, I show that in the Cuentas Collar video.. have you watch it?

    Do you have a video showing how to incorporate eyeglass fobs or lobster hooks ala Lolanyard?

    • @LauraNelkin
      @LauraNelkin  5 месяцев назад +1

      I don't, but it is easy! Follow the pattern as written for casting onto the eyeglass fob, but only put 3 sts on there (instead of 4), then knit one row and transfer the sts (as I do in the video for fixing mistakes) to the I-Cord Tool and start working with beads like I do in Cuentas Collar!

      @@LauraNelkin I figured you’d have a good solution! I did my first with doublepoints, but am looking to make more an I think that the icord tool will be much faster and more even. You also mention blocking the cords. Do you fully wet them, spritz and dry or steam block?
