- The Arunachal Indigenous Youth Force (AIYF) has expressed disappointment over the recent mutual agreement between the land donor and the Naharlagun Jama Masjid Committee. Speaking to the media, AIYF President Kamta Phassang called on all parties involved in the agreement to come forward and provide clarification within a week.
The Naharlagun Youth Association and AIYF have already filed an FIR against the Naharlagun Jama Masjid Committee. The FIR stems from concerns that the land in question was originally registered under Zakir Hussain, who, according to the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFR) Act of 1873, as a non-indigenous individual, is not permitted to own land in Arunachal Pradesh.
In the new agreement, the landowner is identified as Tayin Taking, who has generously donated the land to the Jama Masjid Committee for the construction of a mosque. The AIYF and other concerned groups are now seeking further clarification on this issue.

As per Indian constitution, any Indian can buy land anywhere in India but states like Arunachal Pradesh still uses centuries old BEFR Act 1873 even in 2024. Central government should repeal these acts because all states must be governed under one law!

Plzs. See the history of Lebanon country. In first Century A.D christian was the majority of Lebanon they were well develop and it was the main trade of middle east when christian people thought that they should open and give chance to muslim people that was the turning point for christian.
