Following the circulation of a viral video alleging the sale of adulterated fuel at a petrol pump in Seppa, the East Kameng District Students Union (EKDSU) visited the site to investigate the matter. Their findings have further fueled public outrage.
According to the EKDSU team, the petrol being sold at the pump was allegedly a 20:80 mixture of fuel and water. During their visit, they observed workers at the petrol pump attempting to clear the storage tanks by pumping the contaminated mixture into the Kochi Nallah.
