Super car is what you buy for that big titted blond you bought from miami. And this monster Subaru is what you dream of to be driving when you are under the blond :D
I'm so glad we still get to see Chris doing his thing after all these years. I was worried the TG gig would fizzle this out... Nope. The man loves his craft and I'm here for it. Thank you!
Watching Travis pitch this thing into the penultimate corner at FOS was just beautiful. At full-send speed, it pinged instantly and precisely into the smoothest four-wheel drift, just blowing air onto the straw bales on the inside and then he gathered it up and went onto set a really impressive time. What a wonderful blend of cartoon character and engineering substance.
Travis Pastrana absolutely spanked that thing at Goodwood... To put it so far up the leaderboard was insane! The textbook definition of sending it, the man's a beast.
Absolutely love this! Hope we see more Chris Harris driving unique and badass cars, combined with educational documentary giving us a closer look into the design and build.
I came to call out the exact same timestamp. That shot was a little gem, it kept developing when you thought it must have finished - some seriously impressive flying and timing there.
The drones are faster than one might imagine, and have fearsome acceleration so the drone operator has at least some margin to intercept the moving car. There’s still a massive amount of skill needed but he can speed up or slow as required to get meet the car where he wants to.
Chris, you and your crew are so good at establishing the people who represent the cars as experts, and then respecting their expertise. My appreciation for the thinking behind the cars has grown so much in the years I’ve watched you.
I have so much more respect for Travis AND Ken now... When you hear someone like Chris Harris reacting to a vehicle in this way, knowing the wealth of his experience and expertise, it really makes you appreciate and respect the skill of the men who drive them. Awesome vid.
In highschool I owned a tuned 83 GL wagon that was a bit of a sleeper (for it's time). I drove the snot out of that thing to the ski hill every weekend. That thing just ate tie rod ends and ball joints from jumping it. The Huckster is childhood memories x100. Such a cool car.
awesome video! i've been seeing this car around a lot obviously but this is the first in depth i've watched. that's truly insane, 860hp at 8500RPM! that's insane for a flat motor! the guy giving all the technical info has a great disposition too it's a nice change of pace to not have someone screaming in your face haha
Only ever had a mild interest in the hoonigan cars and not much more tbh, but the Huckster for me it's absolutely pure bliss. The 80's blocky design with its equally blocky over flared wheel arch and the active aero. There's something about this car that brings out the kid in me who loved watching Knight Rider and Street Hawk.
CH's no-BS reviews are exactly what the world of car review/petrolheadery needs. He's carried TopGear since the main trio left, a complete package, presenter and Stig. BBC need to step up or Amazon need to fix this for the sake of planet Earth.
The video editing detracts from actually seeing what the car is doing on the tracks. Constant cutting to the grill badge, exhaust and the drone tracking shots are all TG standard stuff I guess but you just can’t follow how the car is doing it’s thing. Loved hearing the info stuff.
This is RUclips gold! This is what we came here to see. Top gear might be on pause / over what ever… but Chris remains the king of car reviews. This is like the bit of top gear we actually watched for! Yes yes yes and for good measure… yes! 💪🏻
One of the most impressive cars I have seen in person, I love it! Was lucky to speak with Travis at FOS, he is a real top guy and an absolute wizard when it comes to driving this thing!
Super cool to see Chris enjoy this special super car Gives you incredible extra respect for how awesome Travis is behind the wheel He and Ken were like Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai both masters with each a unique Style
I do love that car. Its shape is very similar to a '91 VW Fox Wagon that I used to have. It had track ready brakes and suspension and bucket seats with four point harnesses. The engine was totally stock but I'd wind the hell out of it and use controlled understeer to absolutely rule all corners. It was the most fun going up hills. But going down I could beat any car on the road, stock engine and all. Many a Porsche gave up all hope on the roads down from Bonny Doon.
Chris is was built with a purpose...and that purpose was for you to take it to the max, one step at a time, as you fully get your head around it! I love how you break shit down!
My mate Mark Carkeek held a Lap Record for years at Lydden but alas, I can't find it on-line now. I can find write-ups from the Motorcycle papers of the time... "The Post Classic race was a stunner with Mark Carkeek on his TZ 350 Yamaha just managing to get into the lead on the last corner of the last lap after dropping back to dead last due to an earlier incident." (MCM)
reminds me of a Lancia Delta S4 but totally modernised with active Aero better engine. no lag would have been great to have a rally great to take it for a spin
this things insane, saw it at goodwood and its flies, would be interesting to see chris delve into the drifting scene at some point, maybe go over to ireland and see james deane and the shanahans at mondello or something
I'm getting Suzuki Escudo vibes here for no reason other than the 80s/90s absolutely bonkers build that is very reminiscent of that car. Would love to see this be tuned to take on Pike's Peak as that car was built to do.
TP is a great driver. No ifs ands or buts about it. With that said, it's that much more amazing seeing a semi-regular joe like Chris Harris tearing up the track with this beast. Makes it much more believable in my eyes.
I’m seriously impressed with Frankie Boyles technical abilities.
😂😂😂
His comedy career isn’t what it once was.
Hilarious
👌
Its not Frankie Boyle, it is Frankie Boyles American Cousin
Well, that was about 1 hour too short! 😂 We need Chris and Travis together on this….maybe at Hoonigan HQ or Nitro Circus base camp. Unleash the Fun!
We need Clarkson Sitting in the passenger side while Travis slides it around a track.
We need less Travis for sure
@@Malc180sWhy less? Wtf
@@stickvortex he's
boring
@@Malc180swe need travis driving and Chris in the passenger seat shitting himself.
Forget all the multi-million dollar hypercar nonsense. This is the kind of stuff that gets Chris out of bed in the morning!
Super car is what you buy for that big titted blond you bought from miami. And this monster Subaru is what you dream of to be driving when you are under the blond :D
Agree 100%! 👍
Don't expect it to be less expensive than the multi-million hypercars.
@@Fastvoicebut this is unique and used. The nonsense HyperCars are more or less all the same/trailer queens
Hmmm I'm not so sure
God that digital dash is a piece of art.
It is really nice isn't it!
That's the dash of the future I want.
I like the retro-futurism look of it.
The Huckster is the automotive expression of pure, unbridled joy in hooning. How can you not love that?
Absolute masterpiece 🤯😍
I'm so glad we still get to see Chris doing his thing after all these years. I was worried the TG gig would fizzle this out... Nope.

It’s mad to think it’s not even really his day job. The guy is just too bloody talented.
You should be a writer
Travis Pastrana absolutely spanked that thing at Goodwood... To put it so far up the leaderboard was insane!
The textbook definition of sending it, the man's a beast.
Probably the most talented man in motorsport. Champion motocross rider, FMX God, Rally driver extraordinaire. He's fast in or on anything.
@@neilr4867 Best extreme sport athlete ever!
I don't care about the timed shootout. He won that day.
Absolutely love this! Hope we see more Chris Harris driving unique and badass cars, combined with educational documentary giving us a closer look into the design and build.
10:28 the drone operator ought to be proud of this shot! I'm trying to figure out how they timed that.
A mix of practice and seeing how hard Chris will send it 😅
I came to call out the exact same timestamp. That shot was a little gem, it kept developing when you thought it must have finished - some seriously impressive flying and timing there.

Just thinking that myself near end of video where the drone flys in off track and follows Chris that was epic! 🤗😎👌
Chris, you and your crew are so good at establishing the people who represent the cars as experts, and then respecting their expertise. My appreciation for the thinking behind the cars has grown so much in the years I’ve watched you.
Absolutely love the silly active aero. This car looks amazing. Built for a purpose, and it's to look cool on camera!
Thanks for this video
I very much appreciate Dan's calm and collected voice and speed. Much to be learned here for many youtubers. So nice. Love it.
VSC absolutely always kills it with their builds. The Huckster is their ultimate yet so far.
I have so much more respect for Travis AND Ken now... When you hear someone like Chris Harris reacting to a vehicle in this way, knowing the wealth of his experience and expertise, it really makes you appreciate and respect the skill of the men who drive them. Awesome vid.
Yeah you gotta respect Travis and his skills because he drives that thing flat out like a mad man.

Right? That's sorcery to get 862 from a flat 4 boxer, I'm curious how they made that happen!
11:19 literally had me laughing out loud. I first saw this car at Goodwood 2022 and it just BLEW. MY. MIND!!!
What an absolute beast of a machine. I can't fathom how some at Subaru supported this build yet, they won't build an STI WRX.
That cage is outrageous
In 1984, my first car was an 81’ GL Coupe. Crazy to see this beast come out of a vehicle that started life with 73hp
It now has over 11 times that much power lmao
This an absolute masterpiece of a car. Outstanding!
Only ever had a mild interest in the hoonigan cars and not much more tbh, but the Huckster for me it's absolutely pure bliss. The 80's blocky design with its equally blocky over flared wheel arch and the active aero.

I've never before seen this car. And it's bloody amazing. Not only the car but Chris Harris way of driving it too. So awesome.
However many times i watch this car it always looks like a Delta s4 estate 😂
Except I actually think it looks better. I love the square headlights!
CH's no-BS reviews are exactly what the world of car review/petrolheadery needs. He's carried TopGear since the main trio left, a complete package, presenter and Stig. BBC need to step up or Amazon need to fix this for the sake of planet Earth.
I love this car and I love Subaru for getting involved and making it. This is the type of video we want from Chris
This excited my 8yo ASC child beyond belief. They have shown little interest in cars, and now binged a bunch Gymkhanas. Thank you.
Chris Harris + great car = Great fun 😊
The video editing detracts from actually seeing what the car is doing on the tracks.

that launch sound with the gear whine was so good
He may not claim to be a racing driver, but his tillermanship is very impressive 👌
Isn't he a proper, full blooded GT3 Le Mans racing driver...? I mean, dad bod and all, he may not look the part right now;)
An absolute beast of a car built for the sole purpose of completely shredding the rear tyres as quickly as possible!!! Gotta love it 🤣🤣
Super cool 80s/90s renditions are the best! What a build! 🔥
I LOVE this 800 + HP and the ultimate control w Chris Harris behind the wheel
WOW WOW AND MORE WOW, 862 HP OUT OF A TINY ENGINE LIKE THAT IS INSANE.
That drone they used to record the laps must be some sort of alien-tech hybrid, with the speed & turning abilities!
We can confirm it is indeed alien-tech
Man, I’ve been watching Chris since he was getting the MP4-12C sideways back when I was in highschool. Still top notch.
There's a little bit of Lancia Delta S4 group b about it 👍🏴
For context. This car beat time taken by McLaren Solus GT and Rimac Navera at Goodwood hill climb..
One of the most impressive cars I have seen in person, I love it! Was lucky to speak with Travis at FOS, he is a real top guy and an absolute wizard when it comes to driving this thing!
I released the first 2.3 over 15 years ago and I'm glad to see it finally catching on.
Great to see such great coverage of this car. Vermont Sportscar is incredible.
4:24 Only Travis Pastrana would actually NEED a canister full of air with him in a car 🤣🤣
Wrong. Ken Block would actually NEED one of these too.
The guys at Vermont sports car know how to build monsters.
The active aero panels are crazy!
Watching Chris being timid makes Travis so much more impressive
00:49
That's Mr. Harris making that car look docile and tamed 😁 perfection 😍
Great video. Thanks to all involved :)
The way it pulls out of corners doesn't seem to jive with physics... mental!
Super cool to see Chris enjoy this special super car Gives you incredible extra respect for how awesome Travis is behind the wheel

I was so impressed with Travis's driving skills when seeing him drive this beast ,but shouldn't be surprised as hes one heck bike rider too!
That car looks so much like the Delta S4! Amazing
Soft spoken Engineer, you know he's mad inside lol
Amazing car and I’m always impressed with Chris driving skills
Now that's got the soundtrack of something I'm sure I raced on Gran Turismo back in the day! Love it 🤟
Incredible car, fantastic video and a redheaded fella was very charismatic and great too

Just yes! I can't express how happy I am that this vehicle exists! 😍
I learned to drive in a GL. The only thing fast with that thing was how fast the CV joints wore out. lol
What a beast! 🔥 Chris knows how to handle it well too! 💪
What a vehicle! Thanks, Chris!
That’s one hell of a set of clever guys. Hats off to them
That looks really fun to drive
So glad this car exists and Travis absolutely sends it
That FPV footage was stunning! The car's not bad either 😏👌🏻

What a thing !
"I can't believe the responsiveness of the engine" - Let's turn on this ALS 😂
Travis, Colin & Ken 🙌🏻 here’s hoping travis keeps on giving
Those drone shots are nice.

The spirit of Group B - what an excellent idea, I'm surprised (or just not aware) that nobody has thought of that before
Best motor journalist by a long way love a Chris Harris video
When Chris said “Aqualung” at 4:41, am I the only one who heard a guitar go “DUN dun Dun dun duuun dun” in my head?
As an American, I would love to see Chris on the face of the $100 bill, and on the 100 pound note as well.
I was so waiting for a video about this car!
Excellent thanks Chris
Love that beast of a car it has the coolest active aero out there
Ooooh! Chris Harris new video! Me happy!
Having been at Goodwood seeing this thing having its ass kicked up the hill. Can safely say Pastrami is a maniac!
