hope you guys enjoy this longer episode with more hands. lemme know who you’d like to see review some of my hands, and please drop me a sub if you haven’t already! ❤
If you could do something with Uri that would be great and highly appreciated Ben 👍
Really enjoyed it. Great stuff😊
Fight me bald
pokergiraffe is one of the best when it comes to theory, someone mentioned uri hes exceptional too. but honestly i look forward to pokergiraffes content the most. he breaks down the heuristics of solvers in such simple to understand ways. im sure itd benefit you both with views/subs
@@BenaBadBeatPoker linus love ;)
Lmao. BenabadBINNED by the rec with A3, hahaha 😂
I laughed pretty hard at this myself.
:D was i wrong tho
Hello, Ben. I have an idea for some content for you - you and GazzyB go to America, buy a caravan, and drive around the country playing live poker.
Hire Easty as the driver
hahahaha this would be epic
TheWakko 🔥
very good idea!
new year, same me, that has indeed been my approach the past 27 years 🤣, i llllllove you BBB!
hahaha ty bro
Complete setup on AA v 99 but really like the way you and villain played it. Your thought processes were an exact mirror of each other and it was cool to watch, so thanks for including it. Think that villain will give you some trouble (and content) down the road.
hahaha yeah we play a lot together so expecting some spice!
great video as always Ben!
appreciate that mate
I was getting the feeling that I wanted to play another hand of poker again for a laugh, while then watching the kings hand, quickly went away
lmaoooo the pain and suffering is real. but obv come have a dabble lad
Turbo-binned 😂
RIP
wooooooooooow the KQ bluff hahaha
you were right about him having A high, my first thought was just call turn call any river, maybe I'd have lost it all as well
hahaha yeah could be the play. honestly I do not like my line 🤣
Another absolute banger.. Great work Ben! 📈
ayy thanks bro!
hahah nice megapunt against the fish.
🙏😭
New year new me, A3o, ahh the classic
:DDDDD so dumb ahaha
With the quads, what about river check rather than 2/3? Think you’re completely right in that no one raises IP enough here but then we give his Kx the chance to value bet (which they’ll always do) and then hero call vs x/j rather than just always call vs a bet. Likewise we let villain bluff the air in his range too of which there’ll still be plenty.
Consider that my audition for jumping on the channel and reviewing some more of your hands 👀😂
do you mean the royal hand rather than the quads hand yeah? definitely could check river there yeah but i really do think that when a rec is snap calling flop and turn, they're more inclined to snap check back river - i dunno, prob projecting a bit too much. haha ok you are added to the list of potentials mate!
@@BenaBadBeatPoker the AA hand!
ahhh I see. hmm when we double block calls, coupled with theory probably checking back some Kx as IP, I don’t reaaaally wanna check. AK on the other hand, could get behind it
Love the fireworks and applause with that K♦Q♦J♦ flop!
haha
That KQ hand is just too advanced for me. I genuinely have no idea what anyone is doing in that hand.
The snap call too….. Buddy didn’t even need to think about it lol.
hahahaha tbh it’s just me being too spicy and rec being too out of line. no skill or anything to learn here 🤣
Nice vid as always Ben!
thank you!
Would definitely call that river shove expecting to appear on the next video, it's kind of like a bounty 😄
lmfaooo
I feel like the question on the turn is simply whether or not he is overfolding to the raise.
If the answer is no, then bluff raise probably doesn't make sense.
On river I think we should ask if he's overfolding as opposed to if he has hands to fold.
Feel like we need to keep it simple.
If fish tend to overdefend high absolute high value hands it probably doesn't make sense to bluff boards where pairs become boats.
totally agree with all of this. Thanks!
@@BenaBadBeatPoker Full disclosure I'm the head coach at poker detox.

Clean set of hands this week, the A3 call...!!
💀😭❤️
ur the beast : )
Would love to see Jarret, Poker Giraffe, 2 card confidence, Uri Peleg
on it!
Also Yolan Cohen!
Pleased to see the road back to high stakes series continuing in to 2025, gl for the year ahead!
cheers bro!!
Jarretman would be cool
If you get Linus on, i will buy you 10 dinners
If he gets Linus on I will fly out to Australia and suck Bena off
hahaha that’ll be a tricky one
Yo Ben, loved the vid. 17:16, was it a mistake to not cashout or would it be a mistake to cash out? Not sure on that one.
it isn't a mistake to cash out no, because you pay a fee and in the longrun cost yourself a good chunk of change, but if the pot feels too big for you, cashin out is definitely a reasonable option!
Want to see the wackko on here !
ok will try sort this!
Holy heck, I need to get out of the micros man this is wild.
games be good bro!
I am an old man (in internet poker) and just thought of the the captain zeebo thereroum on the first hand. No one folds a full house (especially a fish).
@@wesismay9309 the tried and tested theory 🙏🙏
Gazzy B for review!
in the pipelines!
Get Charlie carol on he loves to comment on others play 😂
haha he does!
My guy. Lets go!
KQK33 is very underbluffed or no bluff spot in low stakes vs regulars, so i would fold. don't know if 1k regs find enough bluffs here. maybe you would :)
For hand review, I would also love to see Uri Peleg. Cheers Bena....nice long vid
agree with you on this bro. ok I’ll see what I can do!
Hi ben,
Clanty for review !
on it mate
Slow Poker hand review vid, please and thank you.
👏👏👏
I would like to see schrodingersvpip review your hands
he's great, will see if i can make that happen
Since you also play ante tables ,
Do you advice having a limping range for utg and utg+1 , like all suited hands and lower PP and protecting it with limp 3bet range like Axs KJo KQo ?
Cause i think we have some hands that doesn’t wanna open but wanna vpip vs recs behind
in equilibrium you’re definitely incentivised to play limps but you definitely don’t have to do this to print in these games!
On the forst hand V the rec you mentioned he was wide and expected him to even cal flip with hands like 95s, so he clearly overvalues hands in every situation if he plays this pre, calls raise , calls flop etc. So if we have the read he overvalues hands then leads and calls V our turn raise why do we try to bluff him lol? Seems like we used all the info poor here and let ego play this hand for us! Which happens done it myself in the moment also! If I saw this band played at the table I would tag you and him as recs 😂
yeah i see what you're saying. well i think your logic applies to the river, not really the turn. if we expect them to donk too much trash then our raise should clean up a bunch of these hands, but once called, shutting down could easily just be the best play yep. and yeah, fish tag me mate :D i prob deserve it
Yeah I’m meaning with the turn information the bluff is silly.. also with guys that are literally giving the money away, I wouldn’t even take this much of a high variance line v them, when you take his chips in so many other ways easily enough anyway. Thanks for adding it though it’s a cool hand with the information of a whale rather than hands played more standard each spot!
agree making these plays vs people that won’t form this hand is idiotic. I didn’t have all this info at the time though, although it prob still is dumb af lmao
get it quietly !
silently losing
Hey Ben, what’s the software you’re using on ACR for RNG and extra bet size buttons please?
intuitive tables mate
Awesome thanks
How about getting the opinion by a whale for some of the hands thinking about gazzy here ))
loool yeah me and gazzy are lining one up for sure mate
Does GG take extra rake from cashout?
yeah 1% i think but not sure
Really? WTF
@ Could see it being worth it in deep pots like yours. GG feels like such a rake trap.
17:30 papers please?
i don't get it :D
Just a quick one, at around 4:54, what is the theory behind being allowed to bet small sizes here (I read a lot that generally IP doesn't reopen unless it's for a larger size)
Cheers
hey mate. just to confirm, my sizing on the turn is not ‘good’ here but I’ll answer your question more broadly. I think you may be referring to IP blocking when on the river. this is the general node where you will ordinarily either size up or check rather than size down. on turns however, blocking makes a lot of sense for a number of reasons, but most importantly equity and/or ev shifts. so for example in this AK hand, I am betting a lot more Ax on the flop that out of position is calling. there are numerous other things going on here too but that is the simplest way to understand the reason to bet small on the turn here
@BenaBadBeatPoker Okay got you. So in the 'general case' it can make sense block turn when IP (even if SPR is high) and it's just less of a thing on river?
Appreciate the help 😅😅
when spr is big, ip blocking does happen a lot less (sorry to be confusing hahaha). but in lower spr spots there is plenty of blocking ip when it calls for it. I know this is all very vague
@BenaBadBeatPoker no thank you for clearing that up for me, really appreciate it
Bring Saulo Costa for more reviews, would love to see it
will keep that in mind ty
hey bro i am 18 years old i have 60 buyins of nl500 and i have 10bb winrate on 100/200 and i want to take shot at nl500 but since the money is big i get emotional and afraid very fast after losing few buyins. should i just keep grinding nl200 or let the nl500 shot going
my advice would be to take small and frequent shots mate. don’t wait til you have 100bi and shot take for 20-30bi (this can add too much pressure and stress) but if you take a 2-3bi shot every so often when you’re feeling super confident in your game, this is a fantastic way to manage anxiety/swings
Luke Johnson(clanty) for review!
can definitely make this one happen
Raph darko collab 🙌
myyyy guy raph
On the royal flush hand why are there two Evgeny Nazaravs? 🤔
lmao someone trolling someone else. the name is slightly different btw
Clanty would be cool, not heard from this guy from ages. Or get Charlie Carrel and Nick to hand review together, because it would be hilarious.
But yeah Clanty, Uri, Saulo, Wakko, heck even Marc Goone from Hungry Hourse these types are always good to learn from (maybe you should talk hands vs Recs w/ him).
Or put me on, not had an apperance anywhere since the Bean 200 video and I got a lot of good advice on how to run good on GG and how to hold when all in. 😂
thanks for the ideas mate! can definitely get clanty on and actually i think uri would come on too. maybe i should do a community episode too, get a bunch of different people to review one hand each or something
the hand at 13:00 i think its a bad call in practice a decent players shoving range is probably KQ+ right? until it gets to a leveling war where your using that to try fold out chops, but as a default i think its a losing call as who wants to bluff shove there lol
yeah agree with you. just so likely to only see KQ+ vs nearly every single player haha
Hi Bena, is it very common to see such a huge rec player in highstake tables? Just surprised how rich they are to play high stakes like this 😮
haha yes very common at all stakes mate
A3o hand is absolutely sickening 💀
did it to myself haha
Some old school FR guys to go over GG ante games would be good. The like of Tim Stone MeleaB unsure if they would wanna do something like that or if you’re in contact. And ofc BitB boys would be good too. But fan boy gonna fan boy and the goat Stevie is who we want.
omg imagine if i got tim on the channel looooooooool
what in the hell is that call on A3o?
lmfao that my friend is me getting completely owned
If you remember I'm a HU player that's actually v well versed in battling huge spewtards whales. The KQo hand actually quite a tricky one. I've already seen the outcome of it, so I have the benefit of hindsight.
All I'll say is I really don't like the turn raise my gut reaction was that it was bad. Let me go into some detail as to why. First off you really didn't breakdown his range. You say he merges and he could have Ahi, but does he float flop wide? Could he have T9, QT, Q9?, 54s? Without delving into hands that are weaker than yours and trying to calculate your rough equity youve actually missed a part of where your EV comes from. The second part to this is Ahi on a trip board on the turn is actually a strongish hand. Itll have 45% at least, and probably closer to 55%. That's not a weak hand whatsoever. The last part which you know, and the fish might know is are you really raising AA-77 or quads? Given I've seen your style I think you know the answer is no.
Going back to the hand I think I just call turn, and make a difficult deicions on the river. Probabaly fold on rivers T-7 and call 5 and less, and probably calling an Aces rivers too.
great breakdown mate! gotta say that I generally trim so much speech cus it’s overwhelming for the viewer and I keep the shortened version of things.
what do you mean I wouldn’t raise 77-AA and quads? 150bb deep these are supreme mandatory raises vs this player type. not sure exactly why you think I wouldn’t raise thick value hands here. therefore I think jumping to the conclusion that Ahi has up to 55% eq is a bit of a stretch!
all that said, I’m not gunna disagree that raising turn and/or shoving river is no good.
13:15 I really don’t like the call from the utg. In real game I just think it’s to rare to see any1 bluffing in this spot or jam a k trying to off chop utg’s kx. This is pretty much kq+ so utg is only going to call for chop which is pretty bad.
hard agree with your thoughts!
7:00
yes?
Was just saving it for later lol. Been really working on my post flop base strategy and making a better thought process. I use upswing lab and CLP and taking notes on certain things. Enjoying the vids!
I liked your comment on how he won’t be raising river because of his line so you need to bet bigger.
@@Violalee1965 ahh haha fair mate! keep up the study
Kqo vs a3o lmao gotta love when the vip is so bad its hard to tell if hes a superuser or not
:D i ask myself that question a little too often for my liking

Thanks for another amazing video !
i don't think so mate! appreciate you watching the vids
Would love to see PokerFlex / GWValueTown on your channel.
will check them out! thanks
Please have clanty review your hands
on it!
33 hand, obviously a massively underbluffed spot by hero on river. Value range is KQ and 33, shouldnt be Kx. But super hard to fold as villain, I think its a pure fold vs a normal player as villain, and calling vs fish and maniacs
sounds like a very good approach to me. but obv also hate life vs recs in this spot lol
Get Clanty on I know you study together
yep we do, will make this happen!
are you part thai, just asking cause of the flag
i'm not, but i made my account when there. i'm actually half mauritian

funny to be upset about losing value on a 4 flush paired board against that hand when you bet 2/3 on the river - maybe he can call an all in but cmon
didn’t think I as upset about it?!
Seems just unnecessary to try and bluff a whale in the first hand vs whale
i can't disagree with you mate, although i obviously would never bluff a rec that i knew was capable of this

that's a great idea - love his content
the KQ on 6JJJ8.
like you are a professional doing this full time with money that many people would literally kill for to obtain. need some mental game if you even consider raise here vs turn donk.
i am sure you were bullied when you were young, so was I, but just cos this rec is a bully, no need to satisfy that primal need to get him back. you are trying to make money not lose it.
Sadge
thanks for your psychoanalysis mate, but think you should look up projection :D
