For more twilight imperium content I would love for you to do a game recap. It seems you play frequently, and as someone who owns the game but has only been able to play half a game once I think a recap of strategy and board state and thought process of a game would be very insightful for me managing any attempts in the future. Thanks! Keep up the great work

Thats brilliant. As a long time player of this game, this game is hard to showcase some of the genius moves and counter plays that occur. Combined with the RNG of some rolls or opportune Action Card draws and uses, you end up witnessing epic falls from power and against the odds victories. Usually there is a pile in on the one player about to win and they either deftly counter and withstand the assault or end up getting rocked and the rest of the table scrambling for any chance of their own victory; that or they just revel their vengeance against the one who laid them low.

Round one is important, yes. However, it is knowing how to adapt to the changing choices and playing to your factions niche, he explains the factions well. Round 1, most important, is building units and getting as many planets as possible.

I always found the green tech very useful for the Hakan. Neural motivator get them more action cards that they can trade, and +1 strategy token by hyper metabolism is always a win in my book.

These videos have been awesome. I just started playing recently and have been sure to catch all of your faction guides. Next, I hope you’ll cover some of the other basic game elements and give your thoughts on them such as technology trees, combat, and action cards. Also would love to see your game recaps, like another commenter said.

My comment before I view it:
If you don't play Hacan like a small business simulator OR you don't know much about small business management in general this faction will elude your understanding for all time.
I'll pop my comment down below after I've watched it as a reply! I absolutely LOVE Hacan, and the greatest recurring compliment I get is that when I play Hacan the entire table has a better experience, I've won once and come 2nd another two times as Hacan and I just adhered to a few small business principles!

Thanks for all the faction videos, very enjoyable to watch! I would love to see more TI4 videos. For example one about how to set up a game best (6 players), which options you got and how to build a interesting map without taking too much time on game day but rather by pre drafting. Or one about reading the map - like asteroid fields, tech specs planets etc. how to build your strategy on different map examples with different races in early mid and late game. I think there is plenty more content to explore about this game that I would love to see :)

I've played Green Tech Hacan and it was not bad. Hacan is a very cerebral faction to play and only limited by your imagination for crafting deals and the level of manipulation possible at a table. Simple combo with production biomes. Make a deal with a player and agree upon cost. Say you wish to buy their trade agreement to use your agent on a 4 commodity faction and promise a 2 TG kickback. Man hands you his his Trade Agreement, you pop Prod Bio, he goes "WTF?", you say its all good were friends and its good to have rich friends and you got your money! Profit= 8 Golden Trade Goods vs expected 2 TG. Then you Bio-Stim it at the end of your turn. Next turn you offer to buy one random Action Card from a player with too many for 2 TG, pop Prod B, get an A Card & 4 bucks. There are a million ways to use that card as a sneaky interjection into a deal. Do not underestimate it. Plus, it is also is a flat Stall Card. Sling Relay, Biostims and Prod B are easy enough to get as Hacan. This gives you immense Stall power. Green in general is STRONG for Hacan for a few amazing reasons. Nueral Motivators+Arbitors= Action Card Mercenary Arsenal. This is just so helpful in creating a proxy war, don't be shy with it, just let them pick and choose from the whole hand. Make them think that stealing even your best Action Card is worth sending their fleet against another player. Hyper Metabolism= Huge economic boon, the sooner the better. You want to use Prod B and Quantum Data? Well Tokens are going to be a significant portion of your economic sink. Inf II? Sub teching Yellow for Quantum Data? Transit Diodes and a triple docked home system means your producing significant holding forces (insane combo with your hero & Dock II's btw), which you'll need as the Triple home system is a liability to clinching final victory as players try block your score by securing the planet 0/1 planet you never reinforced. Green is good. Green is God Tier. Don't let the non believers fool you. If Green fails you, you were either not up to the cerebral task double speaking your "comrades" and profiting from everything, or they were way to wary of you, and that's your fault for not looking weak enough/they saw thru your BS.

Thanks for all the TI content - there really isn't much out there, and your content is top-notch. As a fellow Magic player (primarily EDH with the occasional Limited), I'd prefer you continue pumping TI content. Magic content is over-saturated, and every channel has started to blur in the past year or so. Of course, feel free to do whichever you find enjoyable and/or helps grow your channel, but I'd thoroughly enjoy your TI content over the hypothetical Magic. Actually, if you play Arkham Horror, I'd love some of that, since my playgroup just started it and are only halfway into the first real campaign (Dunwich Legacy?).

I think Hacan is a really well designed faction in the TI4 universe. It's almost quintessential TI 4 - BUT - I don't know whether it is my personal play style, but I just haven't been drawn to play them - yet. They might even be my last choice of faction to play. But I will play them at sometime. They might be a great faction to play having just played Neckro Virus in a previous game - when you just want everybody to be your friend - for a change :)

As an idea for the video, I can say that it would be interesting to see which factions play well against others. Counter picks? For example, faction A, factions B, C, D play well against it because they kill infantry well, etc. And so about each other factions.

Naalu original promissory note is actually amazing, you just have to give it to the dude who’s being ganked by the vuil’ raith so that he can play before they do… they will literally sell their souls for it and use it immediately so they can preemptive strike lol

  • @ariel-y-e-m
    @ariel-y-e-m Год назад

I've only played them once in base game, and won, so it's interesting to hear the new synergy w the new heroes. Pumped to try them out again in POK.
My hot take would be that faction-specific strategy can only take you so far. Gotta combine strategy and the nuts and bolts of the game with being able to read the table and the game state as well. I'm starting to become more open to breaking what guides like this would discourage you away from or at least always being aware of openings where that make sense. But also relying a bit on my own understanding of the game and the people I play with.
But that's also dependent on who you play with or if you play online with strangers more.
With that being said, as far as voting on whether or not this channel should expand, I would selfishly as a TI player say I would prefer more TI stuff. That being said, it's probably in CCC's best interest to expand. It just would be interesting to get more in depth TI stuff that isn't elsewhere. Maybe like stuff on recognizing board states and how to react when you're in a certain position. It might be good to kinda drill down the stuff that most factions, regardless of their abilities, should be aware of in terms of staying in the pack and within shooting distance of the win.

My hot take: Winning is not actually fun and kid of destroys the late game. The moment someone is at 8VP (or 12 in the long game), the whole dynamic changes and suddenly everything goes in order to stop him. These two rounds can be crazy and drag on for ever.

greetings Ethan, Thank you for this video.
if I have for example a fleet with the Wrath of Kenara and additional 5 cruisers in the same system and I would score a hit by +1 on each of the rolls, I could spend a maximum of 7 trade goods (5 for each cruiser and 2 for The Wrath), right? Or can I only raise +1 a single roll regardless of the number of ships?

    • @CardboardCrashCourse

The card doesn't say that you can only use it once either. Can the Hacan and Nekro keep spending tokens and change strategy cards untol one of them gives up or runs out of tokens? 🤔
