  • It's Embarkation Day for our cruise from Vancouver to Alaska on Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas! From boarding to sail away and beyond. We tour and explore the ship, eat, watch the beautiful views as we depart Vancouver, and tour our cabin. We have some great days and views of Alaska coming up in the next several weeks.
Join us each week for new videos including travel to places big and small, wonderful and weird. We also visit amusement parks, cruise, and sci-fi/gaming conventions. We also share stories about working at Disney, and behind the scenes info.

Sailed on her June 16th. Saw every show unloved john or Cruise Director formally stuntman for 20 years.

Thanks for watching! Appreciate it. Love to show a bit of the ship, and what we're doing on it, and hope people either find it entertaining or useful.

Have fun! We enjoyed Brilliance, and love sailing out of Vancouver, and visiting Alaska. It will rain a lot, but it was often just a steady drizzle. We were prepared, and loved visiting there. Enjoy your cruise!

I'm glad you didn't purposely booked a handicap room. My wife is wheelchair bound and it is hard to find cabins. I hope all watching this video will not book accessible cablins just because they are bigger.

Absolutely wouldn't book it on our own. Asked Royal if we needed to switch after they shifted us there, and was told no - we were good unless we wanted to upgrade to a balcony. I don't know if they put any restrictions on the cabins to a certain point but they should (they have dialogue about it, but not sure if they enforece it).

When did you take your cruise. 6 of us are taking the same cruise mid-August next year. We are wondering if the weather would be the same. Greatly enjoyed your videos.

We are going in June 24. When did the 'Coasters" go?

A friend of mine is currently working on that boat at the moment and hoping to see her on this vlog.

Cool - hope you saw her on there. We had a great experience with the crew of Brilliance on this cruise.

how long did it take you from luggage dropoff to ship. And what time did you start?

I think we were from luggage to on the ship in around 20-25 minutes. There were some lines in spots, but we didn't stop in any spot for very long. Expected much worse, as Vancouver can be crowded with three ships. It wasn't all that long earlier in the day though (we boarded around 10:30?).
