Lavender sage from CS was one of my first scents and it was always the best seller
Thats a good one!! I have so many Lavender scents so I haven't used that one in my line yet but I did enjoy it!

I started with Sea Salt and Orchid , Lavender Driftwood, Lemon Pound Cake , Strawberry Shortcake (the discontinuation was devastating at the time) 🤣 and fall scents as I launched November 2019 , holy throwback lol , still can’t do many florals , and will outsource anything that is smoke heavy 🤢, the most Smokey scent I have is fireside marshmallow 🤣 that’s definitely more for me 😅, thank you Nick for another really awesome video , brought back some memories 😊
The discontinuation was the wooorst. Lol! 🤣 I had literally just made a bunch of that scent and it was the first to sell out and then I got the email. 😩 lol! I like fireside but I think it’s only because we grew up with a wood burning stove so I just had to get used to the smell. My dad only LAST YEAR put in an central heating/air. 🤣 Eeeevery summer we would be out chopping wood and all winter long I’d be hauling it up our big ole hill. 😩
I loove sea salt and orchid but I really couldn’t get it to sell. I may try again under that actual name. I changed the name to “Orchid Oasis” as it’s just such a peaceful calming scent… but yeah it sadly never did well for me but I loved it!

All your videos are very informative. We are launching in February and have often come to your videos for information. We currently have around ten smells, including a couple of floral smells, earthy smells and some foody smells we have for launch. Can't find the fruity one we want yet but are on the lookout. Being in Canada, it is harder to find the smells we want because the shipping from the States tends to be insane for most places.

I am a new candle business. I two new scents, and they are Mullberry & White Poinsettia fragrances

Both of them was a big seller at both craft fair. ND I ALSO FOUND A NOTHER ONE BLACK VOW TIE WITH BOURBON. THE WI.EN WENT WILD OVER THIS FRAGRANCE.

Hello from Texas. Can you use the name snickerdoodle or do you use another name. I have not looked to see if that was trademarked but I got dinged for using Sweater Weather on Etsy. I did not know it was trade marked by Bath and Body Works.
As far as I know you can, I use “warm Snickerdoodle” just to be safe. Lol! Anything that says “type” or “dupe” means it’s trademarked by another company like Bath and Body Works, Yankee Candle Etc so you’ll want to change the name. But sometimes companies don’t always have it on there. 😅
Lavender driftwood was one of my favorite. Unfortunately for me , it seems like people don't really like the bakery scent so it doesn't sell for me. the only one it sells for me is banana nut bread. I bought snickerdoodle and French toast to see but I hate French toast and I am looking to give it out to someone who likes it.
Really? That's odd! Any type of bakery\foodie scent my customers SWARM to them! lol!! But i think it just depends on the look\feel of your brand, the candles and what type of customers you draw in etc! It may just be because those are the scents I personally love so I probably subconsciously market them better\more often. lol!
@@the1994candleco You could be right. My client likes the opposite side of bakery and sophisticated scents. I don’t know how to take good pictures and I recently got a website so I’m figuring it out. I sell more in the house than online so I’m probably going to hire someone to build a proper website and see the glory of God
What do you think about jasmine honeysuckle from the flaming candle? I use that from CS but it gives me a hard time with soy 464.
I honestly haven't used it or even smelled it I don't think so I'm honestly not sure! Really? That sucks! It works really well in 6006!

You don't have to, I don't use any dye's\colorants. :)

Which category would you put tobacco or coffee do you think?
Those ones are hard! lol! I'd say tobacco is definitely more earthy\cologne maybe? Or maybe there should just be another category that's just "cozy" lol!!! I feel like Tobacco and Coffee are both just like warm\cozy scents that don't quite fit in other places! I was wondering about coffee too! lol!
