I’m 64 yr old still remember walking in my grandma’s pantry and just being amazed at all the food she had canned she’s been gone now since 1968 and people still talk about her fried chicken and catfish she put love into every single meal it’s a lost art thx for keeping the tradition going peace and love to you and yours
Corie - it is wonderful to see a young person still interested and participating in preserving foods because it seems the majority of folk, young and the not so young, who have no interest in learning or in doing this. You all will enjoy the 'fruit of your labor' in the months ahead.
Nothing better hanging out with family. Love y'all ,and thanks for feeling like family. My brothers headstone came in today. It's still a tearful time. Thank you for these videos ,and God bless you all.
We can our deer meat also. I think of it as super healthy convenience food in a jar! Open a jar and make gravy with the broth, use it shredded on a bun, put it in soups and stews...endless possibilities!! Sure is a blessing!! Have a wonderful day from The Garden Tiller Boy's mom.
Good job Corie. it is so nice that your pa helped you. Congratulations to you and Austin got a deer 🦌. Olive looked so well behaved with you getting ready to go. Thanks for sharing. ♥️🙏👍🇺🇸🇮🇱
The color on the deer meat is always so beautiful. Keep the burp cloth momma it’s real life right! Your so right even canning up a few jars here n there ends up making a nice stock. We had just moved to a new town bought a house started kids in school n in three days he was severely burned and we lost everything but the food stock. I am forever thankful I was able to feed those 4 littles I had. The Lord is good always. My husband is still alive and we will be celebrating 58 years October 12th. Love all aspects of your videos. Keeping it real n putting Christ first
That meat looked so good! It was fun watching ya'll can. :) It's currently 97 degrees, but the heat index makes it feel like 104. Looking forward to Fall! Glad you're getting cooler teperatures. Enjoyed hanging out with you, Corie and seeing baby Woody. God bless!
I have never canned deer but my husband doesn’t deer hunt anymore so I never had the availability of deer meat, but I really like deer meat and I know it is much better for you than store bought meat. Deer is low fat, cholesterol pure protein!
Hey Corie, you are looking great. And your dinner combo is right up my alley, it's not weird in my opinion. I'm glad to hear Austin got his first catch of the season. The meat looked so good and fresh. I love y'all and continued prayers for everybody. Including that hound dog Olive and puma Binks.
Interesting video! For years I spent time in Clay, West Virginia and Canton Ohio and never once tried deer meat. My grandad went hunting but I probably would have slowed him down as I was too young😅 What a great lifestyle that was! I remember sitting on the tractor with him in open fields and hearing a distant hum of locusts. New Jersey ruined all that paradise....my fool's paradise
I love how close you girls are to your dad, and how he interacts with your boys. Matt is a good man! My family never canned meat at all, only vegetables, but then again, we were not hunters. (I grew up on a lake, so we fished a good bit.) My daughter married into a family that hunts though, and I've "accidentally" eaten deer meat and found it to be pretty good!
Thanks for bringing us along Corie! 😊 That clip getting Woody ready was neat! What brand of electrolytes were those? That was so sweet of your Dad to cook that meat for Katie! And of course helping you with the canning! He's still taking care of his girls! ❤️
We grew up on deer meat. There is nothing better. I used to make my daughter's baby food and used venison for the meat, she loved it! Hope Austin gets another deer. Have a blessed evening.
Awe little Woody is getting so big. Olive was watching the whole time. That lunch that you had looked so good along with the apple bread. You all are such good cooks. Matt's deer meat looked delicious. He's always so helpful with you girls and your Mama. Enjoy all that great food. Sending blessings to you all. 💗
Gosh, that meat looks so good. I never had the privilege of eating much deer meat in my life but when I did, it always tasted "gamey". Whoever processed it must not have known Matt's technique of the right way. I would love to see a video of you & your mom's pantry of canned/stored bounty from the gardens & the meat. Blessings to you & your family & to Granny!
You are such a sweet girl, God bless you, I was going to ask do you take the baby outside very much. I remember my girls would cry to go outside when the door was opened. lol I just can’t wait when you decide to let us see his sweet little face . I just watched Granny’s interview, you have one of the sweetest Granny’s in the world. I have never ate deer meat, hopefully some day I will get a chance to. How often does a girl get to share the kitchen with her Daddy. Sending love and prayers,
I'm new at pressure canning, and you just taught me something I didn't know, but it makes sense. Putting jars of water in empty areas so jars don't rattle and break. Thank you for sharing.
Wow what beautiful deer meat. It is so awesome that y'all can harvest your meat right there close. I love deer meat. The men and one female cousin in the family are avid deer hunters and they also process their own. One of my uncle's has a grinder and some of the meat her grinds up for hamburgers and chili. So so delicious.
I can remember when I was a kid Mama would use her "PRESTO" pressure cooker for beef and kidneys. She would make her crust to make "steak" and kidney pie. My family heritage is from England 🇬🇧 and we like steak and kidney pie. Good meal in winter😊
Thanks for sharing the beauty. It all could be felt. If only I could have reached through the screen and shared one of those venison pieces your Dad was cooking! Job well done by all!
Nothing like being with family. Loved that little glimpse of Woody. Corie put some castor oil on that squeak. Love y’all can’t wait to see when or if you both decide to show us the boys. ❤️❤️
If you stop eating sugar, the flora in your stomach will change and you won't crave sugar any more. Thank you for your companionable videos. They are calming and informative.
Corie, thanks so much for this delightful video! That meat is beautiful, good that Austin hunts. Your dad´s thin-sliced tenderloin I bet is tasty! Between your dad & Austin, y´all should have a good source of deer meat. 😊
❤Enjoyed Corie Glad Austin got a Deer too! Him & Your Dad!! I Have Such Great Memories of Deer Season! I MISS DEER MEAT & Canned Dear as Well..I Watched Your Mom make that Bread! I really want to make that recipe for Apple Bread. What Kind of Bread was it that You made Corie?? It looked So Good. ❤ Glad You got to Spend the Day with Woody Ira & Your Sweet Sister Katie & Your Mom & Dad Little Woody sure is Growing!! ❤God Bless You All & Much Love from ME in MO...❤😊 Thanks MATT For Helping Corie get the Pressure Cooking done.
I’m so happy you all love deer meat. That is a blessing that you have your Dad to help teach you how to can that. . Knowledge that can be passed on to your children. NOW with that said, I hated it, hated it.. my husband (when I was married) loved to hunt and it was exciting when hunting season came upon us! . I couldn’t even stand the smell of it when it was cooking.. I couldn’t eat it. Then it seemed like since I wouldn’t eat it, he didn’t. So he loved to hunt and we found that he and I and the girls LOVED deer jerky.. I mean we could eat that until it came out our ears lol. . He kept the back straps and I fixed those for him and then we kept a lot and we made the deer jerky and then sent the rest to be made into summer sausage. I sure miss having that deer jerky (but I don’t miss him) 😬 The hunter haha Thanks for sharing God bless. ❤
I don't can deer meat but I can hamburger, chicken, roast, etc. There is nothing better than just grabbing a jar of meat from your pantry and you have dinner in 20 minutes. The chicken makes the best chicken and dumplings.
Hi everyone deer meat is so good glad you all spend time together i live alone and get loseman some time but as long as i have Jesus im alright God bless you all
You are such a lovely woman with a lovely family. My wife, Margaret can can just about anything. i.e pound cake, Mac n cheese, chili, beef stew, sweet potatoes etc. I love Sauer kraut. Made some last year.

I bet she was a good cook 😁
I don’t spend, nearly, enough outdoors. I need to get my butt out there and enjoy! Take care!❤️🙏🇨🇦
It a amazing process of canning the meat and that bread looks delicious
Woody is getting so big. Glad your Daddy helped you can the deer meat. That will be good eating this winter.

We have so many minerals and stuff in our water we have to put half a cup of vinegar in the canner water to keep our jars from "fogging up"
Your family is very blessed. 😁🙏❤️
God Bless the deer for providing your family with food...
Great catching up with you girls! fall is upon us!! Much love to the baby boys.
