well to be honest it was also considering that his area did not have competitions for a long time. So it was a while until his part of the world had a competition.
Wait, but if you give him a WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, shouldn't you give him a WR for breaking 4 WR in a day? Wait, if you give him 5 WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, plus the WR for that WR, shouldn't you give him a WR for having a WR WR or 3 WR? What?!?
Kevin Li I think you misunderstand me - your original comment was that he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records within a day. I replied with a joke, saying that if he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records in a day (Which would be 4 World Records, 3+1), then he should get a World Record for getting 4 World Records within a day (The 3 initial World Records + the World Record for getting 3 World Records), which would then mean that he should have 5 world records. And so on ad infinitum.
Really? I have been cubing for 4 ish months and I average around 20-22 seconds. I'm not that much behind where feliks was but he is WAYYYY better than I am.
Oh men!!!!!! Feliks is my inspiration to be speedcuber, I have kind of the same age when I buy first cube, and I have been speedcubing for more or less 1 year and I am sub 15. My dream is to reach him and have the same spectacular times he have all the competitions. :)
Look it up again Mats holds only one world record. He used to hold those but they've been beaten. Feliks holds right know 5, more than anyone in the cubing history.
I'm so late to this game, forty years old, started cubing this past December just to say I could solve one.. Currently rocking a solid 3.5 minute solve on the 3x3 and learning to hate "parity errors" on the 4x4. To see Feliks killing the 7 second barrier is awesome and humbling at the same time.. I'll be happy when I learn F2L and can get below 2 minutes.
@fazdad1 Thank you for uploading this video, it is an inspirational journey that will help many people to work harder in order to accomplish their goals. I am one of those people who will try harder to accomplish my goals thanks to this video.
You should do one called "The road to greatness" And then show every single world record he has (Shortened of course) and then show his most recent one at the end
Feliks started subbing 20s after just 3 months, I've inky been cubing for 3 months and I'm still in the 30s. I hope he realized when he was 13 he would one day be one of the most famous solvers in history
i started cubing in fifth grade but unfortunately didnt find the community or speedcubes so i sort of forgot about it until seventh grade. however i took long breaks even since then, so i havent progressed as much as i could have. :(
So how many other talents does Feliks has beside cubing and playing piano. Maybe you should get a film of him doing some piano stuff, I would love to see that and hopefully other people as well! I think it be awesome if you do upload some piano videos that Feliks can do.
@itsdemisselb1 dont worry, fridrich method should probably come next. and btw, pll, oll, f2l are different stages of solving. fridrich is really good b/c it has 2-look pll, 2-look oll, and intuitive 1 step f2l. i can get at around 30 seconds, but ive also just started cubing again.
Things like this slightly discourage me from cubing. My best is 25.56 seconds achieved in about a year of solving, most of the time I didn't even practice. Even though I am not a good speedcuber I try to beat my times. That feeling when you beat your record is just great!
i wish i would've started speed cubing at a young age so i could've memorized the OLL and PLL algarithms. but now as a sophmore in high school i cant find the time too. maybe i can do it this summer;)
what type of cube was feliks using as his main before the lubix ultimate and dayan zanchi? i can't tell if it's a c4u cube or a alpha v because it has c4u stickers but sounds like an alpha v
I've been cubing for 2 months and my average is 18.42 ao100, and my best is 15.24, but this was before the internet was a major part of our lives and the algs and stuff has improved drastically so he is god.
Hey fazdad1, sorry to keep on bugging you about the musci you use, but what are the songs at the beginning and end of this vid? and are they available for download... and where? :P
@Stephen Brush I use that book. It helps a lot and it's easy to understand. My record is 27.39 sec I usually get 30-48 in my solves. I've been speed cubing for about 8 months. I also use other videos.
Does anyone notice that he grew like 5 inches from his first competition when he was 13.5 years old to his second one where he got the 9.21 WR average when he was 14 years old?
1 question...what technik do you use to solve cube...I use f2l,2 look OLL and 2 look PLL do you do that aswell or not? (if you do ofcuorse you don't use 2 look )
Can't believe it's been 10 years!! So many memories! I need to start cubing again
Feliks 2019: *laughs at 4.22 seconds*
Yusheng du: laughs at 3.45 seconds
robot: laughs in 0.38 seconds
Normal people: *laughs at 5 years and counting*
@@arizonaicedtea6438 Feliks has 2 youtube videos of solves faster than that. 3.33 and 3.41 so Feliks still wins.
@@spooderdan9127 Not official time though :>
We need a video update! :)
Ciao! :D

Ciao
He set a world record in his secong competition?!? Is Feliks even human?!?
Keith Masongsong this was also when records could actually be beaten like that
well to be honest it was also considering that his area did not have competitions for a long time. So it was a while until his part of the world had a competition.
minh thai set a world record in his first competition
No it's a robot
0:00 A legend was born

CGYT yeah very good

In 2 days he’s in my home town in switzerland doing a competition lol
Wow i really like this video. Its full of hope and purity. You can make sure im taking my cube right now!
Woah, so Feliks broke the single that day, and then beat it again, and broke the average wr? Shouldn't that be a wr for beating 3 wr in a day
Wait, but if you give him a WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, shouldn't you give him a WR for breaking 4 WR in a day? Wait, if you give him 5 WR for breaking 3 WR within a day, plus the WR for that WR, shouldn't you give him a WR for having a WR WR or 3 WR? What?!?
no, if he breaks the world record multiple times, only his latest one counts
Kevin Li I think you misunderstand me - your original comment was that he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records within a day. I replied with a joke, saying that if he should get a World Record for getting 3 World Records in a day (Which would be 4 World Records, 3+1), then he should get a World Record for getting 4 World Records within a day (The 3 initial World Records + the World Record for getting 3 World Records), which would then mean that he should have 5 world records. I was proud of sub 40 in 3 months until I watched this... :(
He solve 3x3 Cube faster than I solve 2x2 cube.
Good information about him! thanks for this video
awesome video
that's a fantastic video, you should be proud of your son.
awesome video ... loved it :-)
Oh men!!!!!! Feliks is my inspiration to be speedcuber, I have kind of the same age when I buy first cube, and I have been speedcubing for more or less 1 year and I am sub 15. My dream is to reach him and have the same spectacular times he have all the competitions. :)
He said ya sure if anyone can beat his world record, and Mats Valk followed his true champion words.
Mats did it only 0.11 seconds faster, and plus, Mats holds only 1 world record, while Feliks holds quite a few.
Look it up again Mats holds only one world record. He used to hold those but they've been beaten. Feliks holds right know 5, more than anyone in the cubing history.
Feliks also beat his 4x4 world record, and beat him in the competations and holds way more records. So who's better?
I know Mats is pretty good but I support Feliks!
Marcos Manuel are you some gayshit or something?
I have watched this video sooo many times
Amazing!!
PLEASE PLEASE DO a road to championship it would be awesome! This video sure was!
So inspiring.
good job
Took almost a decade for the world record to be half of that
This boy was built for cubing.
Amazing!
I can see how amazing and fascinating the quality of the cubes back then

Wow, his turning speed was incredibly fast even when he was averaging only 22 seconds. Explains much of his incredible turn speed now...
Wtf 9 years later
You sure proud
PLEASE do a road to championship!
i remember he said somewhere he first learnt to solve the cube with dan brown's beginners method

That is absolutely insane how fast he got in so little time. I've been cubing for about a year now and im only at a 16ish average
How you doing now
I've been cubing for 2 months and my average is 18.42 ao100, and my best is 15.24, but this was before the internet was a major part of our lives and the algs and stuff has improved drastically so he is god.
How?! I've been cubing on and off for like 7 years and my average is around 25, lol. Do you know full oll?
You remembered the exact year, month, day, hour, minute, and second of buying your rubiks cube? Wow. Impressive.
@fazdad1 are there any seen videos of him solving a magic?
you made australia proud
I thought you were a fan or something, how funny/cute to realise you're his dad haha.
woah 7 years ago hi

@Stephen Brush I use that book. It helps a lot and it's easy to understand. My record is 27.39 sec I usually get 30-48 in my solves. I've been speed cubing for about 8 months. I also use other videos.
Does anyone notice that he grew like 5 inches from his first competition when he was 13.5 years old to his second one where he got the 9.21 WR average when he was 14 years old?
for beginner method Feliks watched dan brown's tutorial, he told it in crazy bad cuber's video "29 cube relay - Feliks Zemdegs"
wow amazing his solving in 5.66
So jealous!! Ur so lucky you can do that;I'm trying to solve it now, but it's too hard
Feliks Zemdegs nice job! my friends are already subbing 25!
Nice to know. At this time Felix hold the 1-handed record with 6.88 ^.^
Excelent video! But now, you will may do a video "Feliks Zemdegs - The road to 6.65" :D
*And he still conserves the same timer :')*
1 question...what technik do you use to solve cube...I use f2l,2 look OLL and 2 look PLL do you do that aswell or not? (if you do ofcuorse you don't use 2 look )
Hello David. I love the music at the beginning of the video. What is the name of that song?
The song is called 'Soneta Nemieram' . It was written by a Latvian rock band I was in back in the eighties.
@@ZemdegsD Awesome! Thanks for responding.
Yes its called Fazrulz1
on my b-day 1st upload yayz
he broke the record again 2 weeks ago with 4.73 seconds
It's been 2 months since I started solving cube and I have an average of around 37 secs and here is feliks got 19.23 in 2 months.
