Do more of these if you can please, as you are perfect as commentator for thunderstorms. Don't usually enjoy thunderstorms, but this was quite enjoyable (assuming no-one got hurt).
The Power of Nature....all that electrical energy....a wonderful natural "fireworks" display....safest place in a thunderstorm inside your car....should the car be struck then the discharge would travel around the body of the car and thru the tyres....all your electrics would come on for a split second and possibly burn out but you would be safe.....honest...my friend has experienced a direct hit whilst parked in his car.
Nice positive strikes there! I live in N Oxfordshire and we get next to nothing here. Last storm worthy of mention here was in 1994, and it wasn't close to this. Nice video mate!
That one at 0:29 is literally like on the next street to you. Incredibly close. The second it flashes the bang is right there with it. Could have easily blasted a tree in half or destroyed a roof.
Fair play you got some beautiful lightning strikes in this video. Was this the thunderstorm that we had in the beginning of June? Those were some crazy thundery downpours, we had some too that flooded out our highstreet nearby. Near lightning strikes and loud bangs of thunder. I get excited in thunderstorms too, I was talking all through my vid. Great video thanks for uploading. Big thumbs up! :)
good capture of fork lightning going across the sky....not all lightning strikes the ground the majority of lightning is "cloud to cloud".....and when you said " this is going to be loud" no that tells you the lightning has "fallen" away from you...if on the other hand the lightning was travelling towards you then yes the sound would have been a lot more intense.....as for when the surrounding area is lit up it means the lightning is obviously within the cloud and a lot of reflection is given off...also...it means it is almost over-head and the noise would be something else.
djunior874 I lived in Canterbury for a while, on Wincheap. Remember one or two crazy ones like this each summer...especially one over the Isle of Thanet one year...
Sign of uk thunder... It’s a boiling day like 24 Celsius then at sun set you see a massive cloud cut in and you think it’s nothing then you see a flash oh yas
Or like me you live in Scotland where 24 degrees is an Indian summer, the railways buckle, you can’t buy garden furniture as it’s sold out and if you see a dark cloud you put a bigger coat on😂😂 I can count on one hand the thunder storms we’ve had in 25 years
Scary. I hide from it. I almost shot out of my chair @ 0.28. I can feel an anxiety attack coming just watching the vid. I envy people who are not afraid of thunderstorms.
0:30 Sounds fiery, like a nearby volcano exploded, or a boulder slamming on a sheet of metal the size of a 5 story building!
0:28 is my favourite.
Damn bro the sound on that thunder tho 🔥🔥🔥🔥🌩🌩
I so get this guy.. He really didn't want to shut the door just in case.. Fun video!! 🤗
