I really enjoy the informational video so thanks so much… we are turning my 75 into a live bearer heaven so this helps !! Platys are on my list now THANKS !!!
Ive been keeping fish since the 90s. Ive kept all kinds of fish. and in the end of everything I keep dwarf red plattys and guppies . Ill be honest, i dont care what other ppl think, its what I enjoy.
I have tried multiple times. I sumplt can't keep them. Swords or mollies, either. They die every time. I feel guilty to keep trying, but I'd love to have them represented in my fishroom. Also, and more importantly, never apologize for keeping the fish you keep. All that matters is that they're the fish YOU want to keep.
I had some platys outside for the summer. We had a freak cold snap and temps dropped..i covered and wrapped the pond..water temps hit 52 and the platies did fine...for those few days
This tank could easily be mistaken for one of mine. The plants, the fish, the whole nine yards. I love it! And the platy is a fabulous fish to keep and observe. Thanks for the video, and yeah, keep making them. You are greatly appreciated in my "inner circle" my friend.
I think you just made a new genre of "aquascaping videos". A Bob Ross style, just casually chatting while scaping your tank. No hard edits, no hi-res b-roll, just chat and scape. Love it. Gonna steal it too btw
I like most fish and platties can be really beautiful. You have some nice ones! I like your idea of using a small strainer to remove the duckweed because it holds it's shape, I'm going to have to try that. I do find it interesting to see how other people go about maintaining their tanks. Great video, Jorge! 🙂👍
Well that was fun, Jorge! I bought some jungle Val a bunch of months back and most of it disappeared in the one tank. I moved what was left into another tank and it's doing a bit better. After seeing this, I think I'll move a few pieces into my Platy tank. I've got a 29 gallon with easily 35+ Platys in it. I started with six - one male with a lyretail and five females. They're all orange and one of the females has Dalmatian spots on her. They've never had a lot of fry at once, but they just keep having them. I think I've hit that "balance" point now. Mostly I've got hornwort floating around the top and chunks of Java fern broken off from mother plants from other tanks floating around the bottom. And now I've got a Baby Groot air bubbler in there that my grand daughter gave me for Christmas! I say some Mickey Mouse Platys at a local PetSmart. I think I'm going to see if they're still there and grab a bunch. You've inspired me to do a video on my Platy tank. Keep 'em coming! Oh yeah . . . I did a video a while back on modifying sponge filters with an air stone to reduce the bubble size into more of a mist. It works great. I got the idea from Cory from Aquarium Co-Op.
I honestly do like the video i think you did a GREAT job, i could see how you were thinking about the length of the plants and location of placement. I did learn from it and really enjoyed it. Thanks to Alex for challenging you.
I love your videos, your vibe, and your aesthetics, mate. I love endlers and Guppies. I feel like everyone needs a colony of livebearers in their life!
A lot of my fish came from PetSmart I'm like you for at least one year all my fish were from PetSmart. Only about 8 months ago I actually started to order a few new fish. Love your planted tanks.
My painted platies are great for giving away when someone says "I picked up a tank on marketplace & want to get into keeping fish". I can give them 6 or more & it won't make a dent in my numbers for long. Also the females are just as colorful so they're fun for new folks
I really enjoyed this video Jorge, I liked seeing the transformation of your aquarium from just moving some plants around. I do this to my tanks occasionally as well . Love the platys too, I have a strain of them and are one of my favorite fish in my fish room
Ya you can lighten up on that hornwart and drop it in the mail to me :p Is there a reason for the gravel on top of the sand or just looks? The tank looks awesome before but the fish were harder to see, it still looks awesome but now you see more of the fish. Good job Brother.
Absolutely You need to make videos no matter how saturated the topic is, this is how you cut your teeth on RUclips, but some seem to jump in and wonder why they don’t go viral straight away
I'm still working on watching too much going on and not enough time for everything. While watching this video, my uncle Joe came to mind. I wonder if RUclips was created to help people feel less crazy about talking to them self 🤔 😁😆 Love ya Mexicali 😆 😁🤗😊😘
I never like live ordering any fish because I ordered a snail and it was dead on arrival so if they couldn’t get a snail right I doubt a fish has a good chance.
Great upload, brother 👍 Platies are amazing fish l love them too❤
I like platys too. .they do a good job keeping stuff picked off of plants and wood.
Man, so jealous of the whole plant thing. To be able to trim and plant like that, almost in a cavalier manner, and they thrive? Its amazing.
Love this kind of video Jorge 👍👍👍
I really enjoy the informational video so thanks so much… we are turning my 75 into a live bearer heaven so this helps !! Platys are on my list now THANKS !!!
Really enjoyed this one plus we got a rare glimpse of the streaming computer
I forgot Big Bro is always watching, Agent Smith.

Platys are like mules...strong..sturdy..a workhorse for the tank

I love overgrown tanks..not so pretty to the aquascaper but healthy for the tank

Steffan, If anyone is doing jungle tank to at a high level, it's you. Your tanks are amazing and have been enjoying them for some time now.

You abide by the Ben Ochart ideology, For Best Success, Mess Less! 😉
Not being mean but damn you get around whip! See you in all the vid comments I watch. Even from years ago!
hello just found your channel , are you in mexicali
Hasta hace 3 ano vivía en Mexicali. Todavía voy de ves en cuando a ver a Los Aguilas y visitar familia.
I couldn’t see the fishes well. You may need to focus in the camera much more.
You got too many they need a bigger space. Jk you said someone would say it so
Smart ass 😄
