I loved how those spreads don't exactly have the same theme, but they feel connected because of the washi tapes and stickers! I think I'll do the same for my bujo! 💚
Growing up, I had many scrapbooks I made. I loved them. Then smart phones came along. I started working and anything artsy made me feel like a waste of time and money. I had 2 kids and became a stay at home mom and now after 4 years I've finally realized doing art would be much better to do in front of my kids instead of internet surfing. Going to make a bullet journal and bust my scrapbook tub out.
I recommend the Ranger's archival ink stamp pad, as it is very pigmented and can be colored in after stamping since it is archival ink which is nice too! Love the theme!
Love this. Our words of the year are similar actually. Mine is flourish, which came from the wanting to grow and thrive this next year. My notebook for 2022 is also a notebook therapy. It's my first and so far I love it:)
The Hungarian fragment at 17:37 says ‘on the verge of blushing again on the cafe terrace’ ‘started to get used to it’ ‘he watched the men at the bar with contempt’ ‘Jovis didn’t drink this day to recall the last day’s excitement’. It’s rather atmospheric.. 🤩 According to google it is probably from a book by French/Belgian author Georges Simenon, The cat/The man who watched the train go by, released in 1967. (It’s two short stories sold in the same copy.) What a productive task for me at 2 am.. 😅 Loved the video. I subscribed. ☺️ Also my word for the year is c r e a t e !🥳✨🙌
Tombow fineliners are my favorite for journalling. For some reason, Sakura microns cause my hands to hurt much faster than tombows, even though they are very similar. I love the ephemera you’re using! Re: future logs, I use a year at a glance as my cover page because I refer to it for week numbers and days of the week, and then I keep a two-page future log spread for trips and birthdays. For appointments and stuff I use the calendar on my phone so I don’t need much space.
🍃 my word for next year is adventure. There's a lot of new things I really want to try and sort of push out of my comfort zone a little bit. Also hoping I get to travel back to where I grew up
My word for 2021 is genuine. I also just finished school and I am looking to embrace myself. im used to putting on masks for the people around me and I am so ready to be my genuine self! 💚
Me reading over one of the peaces of paper you ripped out of books: Also me: Oh, it's german! I can understand every word! So, the one you used for your second future log spread seems to be from a novel. It tells something about african nature and a law for the protection of elephants. 😂
I love these old letters on the first two paperpices! There are german too and describe the nature around a river.🤗 And the Frogs there are giving a concert😂
I’m just starting to journal, and I just bought this new good book. I’m afraid to use it because I’m afraid to mess it up. And I did, it made me lazy and want to give up. I came across your video, and it made me realize if I don’t practice it would never look good thank you 🔫🐸
☘️📗💚 I'm a rooster too, & never felt much like it either. I've been working on getting my first [ever] bullet journal set up for 2022 🥰 I love collaging but have found it is trickier to present as cohesive. So I really appreciate your approach, & I think it helped that you used similar stationery! I always love your videos thank you Hedda!
Two black ink pad recommendations: Memento tuxedo black - this is a dark black and works well with markers. It dries pretty quickly too Versafine Onyx - this is a pigment ink and is great for fine details but needs to dry not to smudge. It will smudge if you use most markers with it
Beautiful! I’m trying to decide right now if I should go back to a bujo from a pre-made planner. Wondering if I will have the time and energy, mostly. 🔋
literally trying to take the time to find instagram friends on youtube, so glad I found you!!! I loved that you did differently this year and made each spread their own!!! I'm thinking i'll have to try this for my 2nd half of the year bujo!!!
I love your word of the year!! I know we have very similar words I think in terms of how we want to progress. My word is EXPANSION. Growth and expansion are very much an inner goal to be a better and more interesting person. So hopefully both our words will drive us forward. 😊💚
I started this video and I was like "Hey, I recognize that bus stop sign! I recognize that Mountain America CU! Oh look, it's Sugarhouse coffee!" Glad that RUclips recommended someone local 😊 I just started a bullet journal for the first time so I've been watching all the videos I can find lol
Thank you for posting. I am still fairly new to bullet journaling (starting my 2nd year) and I am still learning so so soooo much! Tips, tricks, hacks, I'm soaking in all of it! Luv the finished product 💚 Edit to add: "Suggestions like collage and layering with paper ephemera and/or washi tapes. LUV! 💚"
Just found your channel, I love it! My world of the year is consistency. I picked it because I want to be more consistent with things. Working out, studying house work etc.
Just found your channel and I really like your journal so far. I'm not an artist so seeing you use washi tape, paper and stickers is encouraging to me 💚💚
Super cute spreads especially the tiger and self portrait! Everything you used is minimalistic and accessible. TFS. BTW I myself frequent Sugarhouse Coffee. Hope to see you there sometime!
I randomly clicked into this video and thought the mountains looked familiar. When you said Sugarhouse coffee it all made sense. I went to Westminster! What a funny coincidence. Definitely will be subscribing. 💕
🟢 I saw the thumbnail and thought hmm someone also got the tsuki 2022 mystery box set from notebook therapy! Then I was watching the video and when you said you got the tombow brush pens during the sale, I thought omg I did too 🤩 And then you mentioned the calliograph pens from archer and olive and I'm thinking wow I came to the right video! Glad this came up recommended to me! I'm no artist, I like BuJo and wish I took more time to be creative (I work two jobs and have a family so it can be hard to make time for it!) Your video has inspired to utilize the new stationary I got! Your drawings and designs are so cute 😍 💕
Ahahah that’s amazing!!🥰 looks like we have similar taste! I totally understand the time crunch, and setting up spreads can take a lot of time - not to mention PLANNING the setup, that takes the longest time for me at least😅 So I try to share my setups in the hopes it might cut down the planning time for people who might not have the time or capacity for it. I’m happy you enjoyed the video!🥰
🐸 I loved this whole setup. Your videos are always so inspiring. My word of the year is a Greek word: Metanoia. It means to turn from the darkness and face the light. I chose this word because 2020/2021 have been rough years, in terms of my mental health. But 2022 is the year that I will be really putting a lot of work into and focusing on my mental health. It’s time to prioritize that over all else.
Love your idea for a future log. My numbers always look wonky no matter how slow I write or hard I try. lol Thanks for sharing your beautiful art and ideas.
i just came across your video and found it amazing, i have journaled for just over a year now and love doing it u have given me some good ideas for making my journal look good. shall enjoy watching your videos thankyou x
All those pages are beautiful but that word of the year page stands out and is absolutely stunning. Thank you for a lovely video and lots of inspiration. 🐉
My word for 2022 is advocate. I want to advocate for myself at work and in other settings. I am beginning a volunteer opportunity that centers on advocating for children. Thank you for sharing your journal. I’m starting my first ever bullet journal. ❇️

It's very refreshing to see you not have an overall Theme but just go wirh thw flow. It turned out really pretty. And because it's all so in your style it still somewhat fits together really good 👍
Planners & perfecting them is such a Virgo trait! ☺️ If you don’t relate to your Virgo Sun, you should look up your birth chart! Especially your Ascendant/rising & Moon signs, & your chart ruler. You may relate to them more. If you have a stellium it may also explain why you don’t relate to your Sun sign. 😊✨️
I loved watching, and listening to your voice is pleasant and relaxing. ♥️ I use Ranger brand Archival Ink pads when I use stamps. They seem to work great. I haven’t tried much else. I also play the Sims 4, and I hope you enjoy your break!
This was so cool to watch, Hedda! Also, I can't believe you managed to create this in a coffee shop! You used so much beautiful ephemera and I really liked your approach of not trying to go for one specific theme. I still think that your spreads fit really nicely together but also have so much individuality. And I'm a rooster (and a virgo too, what a fun coincidence) too but would've loved to be tiger for the sole fact that I love cats :D
I really enjoyed this video. Apart from just choosing appropriate colours, any suggestions on where to search for for materials, stickers, stencils, etc with a more 'masculine' vibe? I'd also love to see the set-up you use to record this video at the coffee shop.
Ooh great question! I think what we consider ‘masculine’ might be different from person to person, but I definitely think more neutral and less cute? I think grid washi tape is a really great, neutral way to decorate, and you can find it in all kinds of colors! Combined with a solid color washi tape, you already have the layering down. My favorite ephemera is always ripped book pages, it works with anything. I haven’t used very many stencils in my life, I’ve mostly used the ones from Notebook Therapy, which I think has a lot of helpful shapes and borders. I don’t know if that helps at all, but it’s what I can think of at the moment🙈 I’ll try to upload a vlog in January showing my cafe setup and some other behind the scenes stuff!🥰
Love all the different themes💚 I did the same thing. My hubby and I binge watched stranger things this year and we are both hooked! My favorite ink is Ranger archival ink that I got from Hobby Lobby.
Where do you find all your ephemera and old books? Always on the look out for this stuff, and yours is so beautiful!!! I usually don’t see collage in the bujo world, this made me so happy! ♻️
Oh I couldn’t tell you just one specific place, but as far as old books are concerned, I just walk into thrift stores and check out their book section! There’s usually lots of old books there, at least in Oslo. The decorative/scrapbook paper is from Notebook Therapy (there’s a link in the description box), and then I get smaller ephemera pieces from small businesses like SoftandMuted, OhleenkaStudio, Leelajournals, etc. AliExpress is also a good place for cheap ephemera, if you’re ok with shopping from there☺️
Wow this was so amazing to watch, somehow I felt super relaxed! And I must say, I secretly wish my bullet journaling style was something like this, going to a cafe and filming a whole amazingly well thought out setup in a day! And I can see that you’re having fun with just layering papers and stickers and I love watching you do it 😍 I don’t know what I’m even saying but I loved this setup so much and I really enjoy watching you being creative ❤️ Can’t wait to see what you’ll do in 2022!
Oh! I Just lovvvveee how all your spreads turned out! I just started a RUclips channel and I just set up my 2022 bullet journal! And I just did my January plan with me! Some day I want to do a theme like that! It’s so pretty… you do such a wonderful job! Thank you for sharing you creativity! You are so talented!
What a beautiful set-up for your 2022 bullet journal. I know this video is now old but is has plenty of inspiration in it! I love ALL of your videos and love going back to watch them for ideas in my own journal. Thank you for all the time you take to make these videos. I know it is a labor of love! I wish you all the best in the new year! ❤️😘💚
Just so you know, many public libraries in Utah allow you to use printers there. Also, if you are staying at a hotel, they usually have printers to use. Beyond that, there are copy and print shops that will print computer files for you. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you. ❤️
Really love watching you put together collages. I love collage too and its really nice to see other's creativity. By the way, how do you get your washii tape set up on the flat cards like that?
"Virgo doesnt suit me" she said, sitting for hours creating a perfect immaculate bujo.
Right??? lmfao
I was thinking the same thing lmao
From one Virgo to another, you are soooo very right! LOL!! :-)
Literally who’s going to tell her….
Ikr I am an Aries
I’m fascinated by the fact you filmed this in a coffee shop! How?! This is a beautiful journal. Inspiring me to do my very FIRST one!
I loved how those spreads don't exactly have the same theme, but they feel connected because of the washi tapes and stickers! I think I'll do the same for my bujo! 💚
I noticed how many of the spreads end up with a similarly lettered "font" for the page titles which also adds to the overall cohesion! 🌿✅
I just saw this in my recommended section of youtube and now im obsessed
Oh thank you so much!🥰❤️ I’m so happy you like it!
I love that you embraced no theme and just used whatever supplies you were in the mood for!!! Everything turned out so cute and pretty 💚

And 🌿 I’m an aries and few years ago I felt like I really fit into the stereotype of an ”chaotic aries” but now I don’t anymore haha
Love this! I’m getting started on my first bujo this year! 🐸
I love this, I definitely need more stickers 😅💚
Beautiful! 😍 thank you! Just a , maybe stupid question, how did you set ut your camera in the coffe shop 🤔
Just so you know, many public libraries in Utah allow you to use printers there. Also, if you are staying at a hotel, they usually have printers to use. Beyond that, there are copy and print shops that will print computer files for you. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you. ❤️
I once again love your setup 🌿 Also the color combo of dark red and beige is just so me 😄
Hope you're enjoying your time in the US! 🥰
Thank you so much, Lena!❤️

Really love watching you put together collages. I love collage too and its really nice to see other's creativity. By the way, how do you get your washii tape set up on the flat cards like that?
I just wrap the washi tape around and around and around the cards until I feel like I have enough on there😂
Always interest with your bullet journal setup ,, thanks for inspiring me
