It's insane going back in time to witness the evolution of elite Coh2 tactics and playstyles... if possible, I hope they raffle out exclusive, custom commanders during 2020's world championship, that would be insane. As a memento of 2020's world championship, if Relic designed custom, new commanders to be raffled out to some lucky players, that would make so many diehard fans happy (and probably create some envy amongst the playerbase).

*SPOILER ALERT* I'm two years late but I've just got to say that: That major tank offensive in 1st game was probably the WORST I've ever seen from a pro 😭 I've seen way better executed offensives from significantly lower ranked players. So disappointed. ☹ Now, the 2nd game shows us all how perfect tank offensives are done!!! Belated congratulations to the winner!! Thanks for the great casting guys!
Very entertaining, all. I was so hoping for the commandoes to get that sniper XD I think German mechanized is never a good choice in late game, he needed some off map offensive force, all he got was some increased sight for a couple vehicles. This commander/doctrine shines in early game (15 to 20 minutes in is too late), but with stagnant lines, and swirling tank battles being decisive, I want something to help deal damage. I think German Mechanized is a doctrine that compounds necessarily to be a good doctrine, you need to get the half track onto the field asap, and start employing the smoke to good use soon too. The optics aren't enough.
This might be the reason why the pendulum has swung too far. Apparently Wehrmacht was OP in the past, but this was a match from more than 4 years ago and the game's balance has changed significantly. But to be honest, in the first game, Luvnest's armour push was of questionable quality. Even on a pub game on automatch, I feel like that push stalled itself out. He didn't control the distance of engagement properly and honestly charged way too head on. If Luvnest moved closer to Hans' base from the northside before revealing himself it would've been much better. But again, 4 years have passed and what I'm describing is the micro decision being employed in modern day CoH2 (and less camping)...
+Huchtot Right because my StuG E and Tiger were way too OP. Please. There's always a few that want to take away the legitimacy of my win away from me. It's pathetic.
+Helping Hans (James Whiteside) It might be legitimate to use all factions and commanders that are available. But I have the same amount of respect for you using land mattress and commandos as I had for the players who build their entire game based on centaur during OCF. The best player should win and not the most use of inbalanced stuff. Tell me, do you think mattress is balanced right now ?
+Huchtot Considering that the landmattress first barrage usually ends up destroying more enemy manpower then the land mattress itself costs (especially in team games) I agree that it's inbalanced. It's also a recrewable unit unlike it's counterparts (katjusha, panzerwerfer, calliope). Of course this can be an advantage to the enemy. Most of the times when I steal a landmattress it's GG :D But I do consider Hans to be a top player.
For me the British are way too op. Their rifleman deal a lot of damage, even more when behind good cover. As you already mentioned, land mattresses do a LOT of damage, wiping out whole squads. Their tanks can take a huge amount of damage - and by the time the Germans can build good AT vehicles like the panther or jagdpanzer the British already can bring up Comets or spam lighter tanks ..
