For the tarps, weld a piece of rebar in a circle. One CM thick, should be good for that size. Place it in the center, at the peak, then run any number of bungee cord lines from that rebar circle to the ground you see fit as long as it's above 10. If the tarps get ripped after that, well...then you have bigger problems than ripping them. The general idea is to deny the wind. We use this method when covering unfinished structures, tarps rarely get ripped (of course we use straight rebar, not round, but same effect, we just deny the wind).
In today's world of chaos and turmoil, it is wonderful to hear that you give all the praise and glory to God for the harvest what he has given you. I am a new subscriber and truly enjoy the channel. Keep up the great work.
wow I have hauled out of that elevator before. this is great love it I started on an old 21a massey at 7yrs old and been in harvest almost every year since except when I was in military. love the videos I am 72 yrs now and still do it helping out. do it all from dumping grain at trminal in mornings to running combine while waiting for everyone to show up then crawl in cart tractor till we get a load and then on the road. we have come a long way in the agriculture industry and I am fortionate enough to have been along for the ride
I think it's so cool watching the truck trailers dip as you load them in the sped up footage. You get a real perspective of how much they hold when they are suddenly 4-6" lower than they just were.
Nick your grandfather would be very proud of all of you ,also your yield is tremendous great video all around thank you as always blessings to you all from Waynesburg Pa...
Thanks for living your faith in front of 257k subscribers. I’ve always wondered whether Montana makes great people or great people make Montana great. God Bless.
I think it is both. The family farms across the country are awesome child raising centers: do to the need to pull together, reliance of trust in the Creature for crops, opportunities for hard work and a connective-ness to past generations. Blessings Tim
That's why I like trucking, my office view is generally always nice. And I have had Edge Eyewear glasses for several years, good sun glasses and some of their safety lenses are above what anyone usually needs, even military grade stuff. I don't think running equipment will ever get old.

Very enjoyable to see Your brother’s wonderful wife and children you folks are truly blessed. Amazing footage of the machinery in action especially the panoramic views.
Another great video. It's always amazing seeing all those acres of wheat, the equipment on the move, and the gravel roads. Nothing says "rural" like a well used intersection of gravel roads.
I like the way you're thinking. All this Quadtrack business lately has been getting me worried about the Buds! They're part of what makes your channel stand out. God bless and I think it's great you aren't afraid to give credit to Who it's due.
Hey Nick! Another excellent video of Harvest '19. Only 4 inches of rain to produce 64# wheat? 4 inches of moisture CAN produce an excellent crop as long as the timing is correct when the crop needs the moisture. It never ceases to amaze me what dryland crops can yield if the moisture comes at the right time. Scott...nice to see your family riding in the tractor with you. Good times for sure. HEY! Thanks for sharing your harvest with all of us...take care.
We are finally finished with corn and wheat. Wife's happy cause I am home now. So are the kids. I see them in the morning at breakfast before they go to school. And the oldest brings dinner for me and other 2 friends that works for us.
Hurray! Bud time! Quadtracs...yeah,yeah,yeah.....I've been having withdrawl systems from the Buds. That's why I started watching the channel in the first place. Great work & great video as usual.

God Bless you all and I pray you guys have the best Christmas ever and let's all not forget that Christmas is a Birthday party for our Lord and Saviour.
The old saying goes: "you break it, you bought it". Hmmm, so, a new quadtrac for the farm now. LOL Great video. Good to see the family all out helping, specially the youngin's. Future farmers hopefully. Great video as always, cheers :)
I have no doubt that you have heard many 'when I was a kid' stories from your dad but I can relate to them. Look up the Ford Super 6 and Ford Super 8 tractors and that was cutting edge when I was a kid. Most tractor cabs I saw growing up were one off farmer built. Factory cabs cost a small fortune. The technology today I can't even wrap my head around. BTW great video and editing.
If you aren’t tearing stuff up your aren’t farming. I took out a combine unloading auger that was folded up with the grain cart auger that was up. Boom, crack, bang.
I praise God on how you folks give God the Glory for your provision. Keep it up. God honors those that honor Him and removes blessings from those that deny Him. To God be ALL glory AMEN!
hey guys! if you can manage to find an old dump/ tipper truck transmission, most of the time they will have a PTO right on the transmission, when its in a truck its used to drive a hydraulic pump but in your case it could be used to drive implements.
Welker family, I thoroughly enjoy your channel. And I'm glad you've partnered with Case. But please remember your RUclips family. I've stopped watching a couple of channels over the past year because they stopped being real. It became more of a constant add campaign for the sponsor or sponsors and they stopped showing alot. I hope you have many more years of farming success.
Thank you for your concerns. Those are our concerns as well. But rest assured the CASEIH team very pointedly told us not change our channel because of the sponsorship. They love the realness and organics of the it. And they said it wouldn't be in their best long term interest to have our channel bought. So we will continue to be us. And we'll listen to you all how we're doing in this area. The good news is the partnership will enhance us getting more new paint for us and you to experience. Blessings 👍
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob it would be a fun April Fools day prank for Case to promise you a plenty of new paint and then send you aenough paint to redo all your equiptment.
Glad the harvest is in, curious to see how the tarps will hold up. Interested to see if you can rig something up so you can run the cart with the Big Bud.
If you want a PTO In a bud with powershift the versatiles use a cat ta22 that's it's own unit and has PTO capability just runs a shaft above axle and a Dropbox might be fairly easy to make work
I mentioned in another comment that from one of the videos prior there was Beastbine cutting with Ol' Glory flying high and an ominous rainy sky behind it that I thought would make an outstanding poster. You need to get Design Creative to look into the feasibility of that project. I'd buy one.
Love my Kore belt. Works great as a gun belt, use mine everyday for concealed carry. It supports the weight of a weapon very easily and doesn't twist like a regular belt.
Since the big Buds use a regular highway class 8 truck transmission. They have two locations for mounting ptos. You will need to get a constant duty one. Mount a hydraulic pump and run a hydraulic motor to drive the PTO shaft. You get a unimount pto and pump.
I love the case and that semi!! I can’t get enough of those two!! The sunset in Montana are so beautiful and very picturesque!! That was one of my fav things to do watch the sunset in the valley of plains mt!! Did you ever fix the quadtrac nick? I would like to see what your wife can do for logos legarms!! I was really excited to hear how much weight you got from that wheat and that was a lot!! God bless Nick and legarms! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the harvest!
Have you seen any yield difference where you ran the disc drill? And for your pto just mount a 4bt Cummins between your rear fenders on the bud with a clutch on it. Then you could vary your pto speed while idling the tractor forward loading the truck.
There was about a 3% difference. The disk was 33 and hoe 32 same cutting area and right next to each other. We thought about a powered pto between fenders.
