Some Russian gear and camo designs are definitely quite unusual compared to western designs, and that is one of the many reasons why it’s so interesting!
the VV1 vest was a cheaper alternative to the V95 vest which can hold 8 mags, however the V, VV1, and the V95 vest were all used in the Chechen wars. I love that some one is now making videos about this stuff.,
I have a blue Kamysh (Blue tiger stripe ), it’s super comfortable over the fur collared bulky winter jackets, it’s really sad to me I can’t double up my AK mags in the vest but whatever I use it only in the winter so.
Some small corrections, KKO is a made up name for the camo by Dennis Desmond, Vera/ANA and serviceman in general called it Amoeba. The VV1 was first seen in the autumn of 1996 so just after the first war. The blue amoeba variants are from 1997 the earliest. The pic you've shown of it being used is from 2000
@@Gr-zny RedAlliance when it was still up and people who either had contact with a manufacturer or serviceman. If you want i can send some other pics of the vest being used.
You should get redpilled on Orekh and Taliy sneg kamos, they were standart NPO SM camos of SOBR units and their Kora-1 and Kroa-2 vests during the first chechen war.
Hello, I recently picked up a full Splav M1 set in "city" camo which is basically blue les. Its looks like KKO but smaller in shape size, I was wondering if you had any information about Splav city camo and who used the m1 cut suit? thanks!
Hey man I’ve been trying to get a Russian Chechen war MVD / spetsnaz uniform and haven’t had much luck on finding a vest I’ve looked on eBay a saw one that’s just been sold for 181£ was wondering if you could tell me where u found or find these Chechen war pieces bc they are very rare
I appreciate the content. Compared to western gear, even from the time, Russian equipment just seems so unusual to me. It reminds me of cargo shorts.

Oh yes I have found most Russian vests to be quite comfy, but their practicality is questionable lol
Love amoeba/KKO vests!
Same here!

Thank you for the corrections! What sources did you use? I usually have trouble finding reliable info on Russian gear like this

There are none for sale at the moment
I’ve been collecting for a while now but my collection isn’t nearly the size of yours, how long has it taken you to collect all this?
I started collecting military items around 8 years ago and I started collecting specifically Russian gear 5 years ago
On a scale of 1 too 10 how itchy is the balaclava
Not itchy at all surprisingly
Don't buy all the Russian gear, the Russians desperately need it! lol
