Hi Dave, thanks for taking the time to comment. Possibly the Maidstone & District bus is one owned and stored locally to the event, not necessarily in your area now. When buses get restored they are often put back in one of their original authentic liveries. Not necessarily reflecting the area that they are now seen. Yes, there is an Eastbourne classic bus running day, so look out for it next year. It runs at the station and numerous buses attend, many allowing rides.

Thanks for your comment. It was indeed an excellent day weather wise to go out and enjoy the sight and sounds of these old buses. Met up with Foxy too and managed to catch him a few times in this video.
Great video and super weather too .. always an added bonus A couple of years ago, I was at Whitley Bay seafront and noticed something was going on, or at least was about to. After a few questions I found out it was a vintage bus rally. I quickly took out my phone and filmed some of the buses as they arrived. I even managed to take an open top bus ride on an old 1966 Leyland bus. My video proved quite popular, but sadly the Whitley Bay Bus Rally never took place again. 2022 was the last one.
