Asked her to promote overseas because she was getting Oscar buzz, she asked for more money and they said no, so she said no. That's all it took, they didn't have to actively campaign against her. Still lots of stars have hit rock bottom or had their reputation ruined. They sit back, get themselves together and then do a small important film to make their comeback.

I feel like fans are more 'tired' than 'upset' at this point when it comes to Mo'Nique. Her Club Shay Shay interview was when I noticed a rather large shift in her favor with MORE people siding with her. However, any people she won over after the interview turned on her when the feud between her and her eldest son was brought to the public. The one show where she dragged her son is when the backlash kicked up again from fans.
In the clip from the comedy show you used in this video, you could literally see people walking out! What's funny about this is the amount of people saying that they are tired because there's no jokes; it's just her ranting/venting about her grievances. I've been saying that for YEARS! As far back as when her Netflix boycott 'tour' went down when she'd go on every radio show, talk show, podcast, etc. ranting about what she is owed, who wronged her, etc. rather than any sort of promotion for a new special, movie or show she's been working on.
Say what you will about her being 'blackballed' by Oprah, Lee Daniels and Perry. However, I think she ruined her own career by tarnishing her brand with these rants. Few people think about The Parkers, her BET talk show, Queens of Comedy, etc. when they hear the name 'Mo'Nique.' If anything, the first thing that comes to mind are the boycott, her saying f**k this person and f**k that person.

The special was AWFUL and had one of the lowest ratings of any Netflix show to date. So now, she cannot go to Netflix again, or anyone else, and say she is worth more. They will likely never offer her another special. Not only did her special fall flat, she sued them. Who would work with her after that? SMH They just wanted her “out of their face.” I do not blame them.
The audacity to try to call out a boycott of Netflix when Netflix has so many black employees, shows, actors, actresses working for them. What would happen to them? They would lose their jobs/shows if everyone boycotted.

It was definitely Countess' acting that prompted the spin off it had nothing to do with Monique. Countess was in the game since she was a child nobody knows or cares who Monique is or was.

It was her decision to burn those bridges of prosperity that would have made her life more comfortable in the entertainment industry over the years. When someone’s life has been affected by black balling them it’s hard to get over. It’s like a bad divorce but what Monique needs to do is like I did but everyone has their own life to live. I chose to forgive my ex-husband and his side piece which later became his wife. When I did that the Lord opened up my life to do things that enhanced me and my child like go back to school and get my Master’s degree and I was able to get a great job. When one door closes the Lord always opens others but you have to be open for his Blessings. I wish Monique love and that she can truly forgive them in her heart and go on. She can only change how she handles things in her life but she can never change how people treat her.
But since there has never been a shred of evidence that Tyler and Oprah black - balled her, and there is tons of evidence of her losing jobs because of her nasty behavior (like Mo's own admission that she got fired from BET and lost her talk show because she cussed out the CEO, Debra Lee, and the entire executive team without provocation), only a damn fool would believe that Mo's career was killed by anything other that her own actions. And having a pimp for a manager doesn't help.
I was at that concert in TN and no jokes were told by her. I bought tickets to Katt Williams Dark Tour before she was announced to be on the tour. Had I known I would not have bought tickets.

I’m in total agreement with Demond Wilson from Sanford and Son when ask about Taraji Henderson who said she wasn’t getting paid fairly in the remake flopped “The Color Purple “. She shouldn’t have taken the role if she felt she wasn’t pay her money worth. The same with MO’Nique she claimed they only paid her 50K . Don’t take the money just because you in a bind and needs it. Then when it’s all said and done with a couple years later “Oh they didn’t pay me enough for doing the movie Precious. MO’ Nique done wasn’t 15 years of her talent clowning Tyler and Oprah and it hasn’t gotten her anywhere by no major movie producers don’t even or wouldn’t consider casting her in a movie. Because they feel if there’s something that she doesn’t agree with. She will clown them in public.
