Riding the Pier Village Carousel in Long Branch NJ

Just a carousel ride at the Pier Village Carousel at Long Branch, NJ. Instead of typical band organ music playing, it is ambient radio music playing from a nearby bar. They do not have a band organ because it doesn’t fit the Jersey Shore theme from what I was told. The factory that built this carousel is called Carousel Works, it shut down after they built this carousel in 2019. This carousel is the final wooden carousel built in the United States as well as the 64th and final carousel built by Carousel Works. The animals represent the animals that live around New Jersey and the horses are dressed in Lenape Tribal aesthetics. This carousel may not be an antique, but it tells a lot about the history of Long Branch, NJ.
