In this video titled EU4 A to Z -Becoming a Pirate Horde and Conquering Great Britain as Antemoro I do a playthrough as Antemoro in Europa Universalis 4 1.31 Leviathan. This is he eleventh video in my series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Antemoro and I attempt to conquer the island of Great Britain while becoming a pirate horde. So let's see if I managed to do it! This video made me decide to google Antemoro and turns out they have a pretty cool and interesting history and culture. They travelled all throughout madagascar to become the wise men and wizards of other peoples villages and royal courts, were renowned for their magic and writing, and many more things. Thanks for teaching me this, EU4 A-Z
1:34 "Where's Lesser Britain?" The Irish name for Wales is Breatain Bheag which means Little Britain or Small Britain which is basically the same as Lesser Britain.

Actually you couldve taken provinces from england if you had the isles or any other irish minor as a vassal when you vassalize you get their naval range there is a relentless push east speedrun as muscovy that uses this method aswell

Lesser Britain is just Ireland, at least according to the British.

Didn't conquer a thing in GB neither became a pirate republic with horde ideas, I'm afraid this cannot be accepted as a completed challenge. A funny one, yes, but not completed

A small tribe from Madagascar building an empire in east Africa, becoming the head tribe of a continent-spanning colonizing pirate horde and unknowingly starting a war with all of Europe while attempting to raid and settle GB is pretty cool alt history to be honest

I also played in Madagascar and the same thing happened but it was only two as I had already conquered the rest
I'd have called this a win - the only thing I might've done differently was peace out the nations on the island and force them to release as many vassals as possible; It was already cursed, might as well add more fuel to the fire!

Do you think that you getting more and more successful campaigns means that playing with harder nations is making you better at the game?
Maybe, it’s really a matter of circumstance though, since I welcome it when things go wrong in these videos, so I keep the failures. Of course I could have re-recorded previous campaigns in order to “win”

Fun fact. Originally there were two Britain's. But that would get confusing so Rome I believe named the larger landmass Britaina major and the smaller one Britaina minor. As time progressed however Britaina minor changed to Britanny but the name for Britiana stayed ariundnmore and eventually became Great Britain. I fairly certain.

Actually, Great britain is a single iland, so the iland of Mann doesnt count. Thus, you won. But it is still debatable becuase you changed the goal

4:45 You could have just stolen maps endlessly to get all the way around to Britain while taking Naval-Maritime without needing Exploration. It would probably take longer but it would make much more sense if you were a pirate nation as well.
I'd call this a loss. Since you said Great Britain, the Isle of Mann doesn't matter. It's not a part of Great Britain (GB is the name of the main island). The change to occupying GB as oppose to owning it seems valid to me so no issue there. However, you did lose two provinces in South England (Kent and Sussex) before you finished Scotland so you didn't occupy all of GB at the same time. Close but no cigar. 'A' for effort though.
I don't get it why people understimate naval and maritime ideas and naval gameplay as a whole. Everyone who ever played multiplayer as England/Brunei/Spain/So knows that these ideas are crucial if one has a goal to rule the seas. Using privateers, blockades, sending marines to important enemy's provinces are the ways to destroy your foe's economy. They will never have prosperity in states and forget what a trade income is. And the policy with explore/naval is a key to defeating your naval rivals.

The game ALWAYS fucking knows. I just did Eat your greens. You know how the Ottos ally Aq in like 100% of games and therefore usually can't conquer Mesopotamia? Well in this ONE game out of hundreds they didn't and conquered Mesopotamia so in an already very hard achievement I had to fight Endboss Otto for one fucking single province and somehow win fast enough before a lot of very ... bothered people in Asia decided it's time for some punitive wars. Thankfully building an army so big i was losing 150 gold per month did the trick.
And this is just the most recent example. The second you pick a nation, the game somehow determines what you are about to do and will do everything in it's power to fuck you as hard as possible, without exception.
