    Born and raised. This was the hood in the 90's, shootings on a regular basis, drug activity, you name it. Seems to be calm now. Brought back a lot of memories, good and bad.

      @KING_ WURLD_2020 lol thinkin gastonia has hoods is crazy, sure its got its less than safe areas but compared to charlotte, atlanta, houston, ect its far from a hood. they wouldnt put million dollar apartments in the middle of the hood hah loray mills is the area hes driving around. far from a hood.

      @olzt100 4 года назад +8

      @@nocturnalmayhem0 "Hood is short for neighborhood. It has nothing to do with city population. People call neighborhoods in the city "hoods" because it represents a certain area of a town or city. But any place where there is a decent gathering of homes can be and is a "hood" for the purposes of that it is a section of a municipality regardless of size and that it is mostly lived in by common folk. The "hood" abbreviation typically reflects the ordinary income status of people also. Most wealthy neighborhoods are not called "hoods" because it is their wealth status that makes them different from the common people. There is really no shame in being common or of average or low income. That is the status of most of the world.

      True, he's driving on the west side but rly like another commenter said as long as you mind your business it will be chill. Yeah there's more drugs and shit off airline but it's not what I'd say is hood. Maybe some apartment complexes here I'd say are hood but this isn't.

    I lived in Gastonia N.C for 3 years before moving back up north, and it's definitely not a ghetto, or crime ridding area. It's especially quite, country, and boring... It's a very safe place for any "Race" of people to live. Of course" there's certain areas that have it's fair share of druggies, drug dealers, and drunks that's everywhere in the world... Over all Gastonia is a normal small town with average neighborhoods...

Plus he only drove down airline and ransom and around the outside which isnt that bad. he didn't go all the way down in highland hills. Or over to linwood or d block. But we have a lot of stuff other small towns don't have so they talk a lot of shit about us and Gastonia just seems worse.

    I grew up not too far from here. These used to be great Neighborhoods. But like in most NC Town and cities, The Hoods built around Textile mills and others Plants. People moved into them to be near their work. But when the Mills left, So did the hard working people and the home were sold to Welfare recipients. But for the most part they are still good places to live.
    I don't recognize any of these streets. I guess if it not Franklin of Garrison, I don't know it.

    People see images like this daily in almost every city and town in the US and never think of why there is a poor section of the city and a well to do section of the city. It has nothing to do with hard work. This is the economic reservation created by politics and culture that is exactly the same as how Native American reservations were created. Native Americans never said they wanted to work easy or work for fewer wages to be put on reservations. People in low-income areas never said they want easy jobs or low wages either.

All companies that have moved overseas have moved for this one reason. ...They do not want to pay US workers what they are worth because that cuts profits. The US has a serious greed problem and it is the business-friendly politicians that have been ripping the US worker for decades. We see it with the current Stimulus that allows the richests companies in the US to have access to $500,000,000,000 of tax payer dollars. These companies can borrow from banks and other companies to get back on their feet. Vote wisely on November 3 to stop companies controlling US. You may not know it but US companies are laying more people than European countries. The leaders of the US are draining the US public for companies and investors. Why did u do a video in houston,Texas and not drive 45 miles south to Galveston TEXAS? I just don't understand that.galveston TEXAS is alot more grimey than houston,Texas it's just a smaller city but the crime rate is higher than Houston per capita.galveston, Texas has a population of about 50,000 residents after the hurricane.they tore down most of the projects but parkland is still up and the baccstreets near Broadway from 26th to 53rd are still hood.some hoods to name are the crooked split,Menard park, parkland,baccbay,and east end from like 9th street to 12th street.plz checc it out and do a video on it I'd like to c a video on that.thanks and keep making these videos I'm subscribed to ur channel I love wat ur doing and including the interviews with the locals really stepped it up even more.u could put ur videos and sell them on DVD for like $10 a piece I kno I'd buy a copy.something to think about atleast.
