The only Tudor who wasn't a megalomaniac. Practical, intelligent, and a good mind for business and governance. He's my favorite Tudor monarch.
Its kinda sad that, eventhough King Henry VII made England very rich and stable, it was mainly due to him being very bureaucratic and not wanting to spend money on excessive entertainment. This made him not being loved by the English people.
He made it possible for King Henry VIII to do all the entertainment (money) and for Queen Elizabeth to remain as queen, because King Henry VII basically got rid of most of the powerful lords or made them too broke to actually take the throne from a woman ruler.
noice a richard the third profile pic, u know he killed the princes in the tower
@@aadilsood_014 Allegedly, though he did benefit the most with them being gone.
@@aaronbonogofsky4463 i know i was just kidding, i honestly think it was Henry VII and Henry Stafford
His tax collecting methods is illegal now.
I’ve always admired Henry VII…I admire his close live and relationship he shared with his mother and wife. He also seemed to be a loving father, in the time he could give as well . He must have been very close to Arthur and seemed to crush the hearts of both parents. This is such an excellent channel, and the narration is above and beyond excellent! Listening and learning is both a pleasure!
Small thing, Margret Beaufort was only 13 when she had Henry VII.
One of my favorite people.
The White Princess was one of my favorite novels.
Even the TVs show is my favorite right next to The Spanish Princess.
I have to say the white queen was really underrated all three A1
Actually she was 13 giving birth and it was miracle her child body didnt break in half. Horrifically difficult labor. Difficult for MEDIEVAL times. Thats difficult times idk infinity
Yes, it was a terrible ordeal. It was common to marry or betroth children at the age of 13 during the Medieval period, as 13 was the equivalent of the 'age of consent' at the time. However, it was *very* uncommon for this marriage to be consummated so early; Medieval ppl. weren't total idiots; they knew young births could be very unsafe for mother & child.
However, in Margaret Beaufort's unfortunate case, there were reasons for the rushed consummation (well, not morally or ethically *justifiable* reasons, but explanations nonetheless):
The first being that Margaret Beaufort was a great heiress; the only child of a rich dead father. Whoever married her would have full control of those estates. Plus it gave any potential children of the marriage a weak claim to the throne, as Margaret potentially served as the legitimated remainder for the Lancastrian monarchy. So Edmund Tudor rushed the consummation to make quick on control of those estates.
The second is speculation on my part. Edmund Tudor was raised away from court, by his father Owen, a squire, & his mother the queen dowager (at least until her death). It was only after his mother's death that they were presented to half-brother King Henry VI, who delighted in finding siblings (as he thought he had none).
I wonder if, being raised away from court, Edmund was uncouth & not aware/educated of the risks such a young birth would pose to his young bride.
In any case, perhaps Edmund got what was coming to him; he died of plague b/f his son had even been born (or likely b/f he even knew his wife was pregnant). If he rushed the consummation for Margaret's estates, he never got to enjoy them.
8:22 . He was crowned king, and it was his first public appearance as king. No kidding? ;-P
I'm sorry Henry VII, All of your Hard Work was for nothing.
Ah yes my favorite Tudor
There is a mistake at 4:30 minutes. It should be EDWARD IV caught a cold and died, leaving his son and heir Edward to inherit the throne. The speaker says that Henry IV died then.
Very nice video well done keep'em coming!I get inspiration from you to create my own videos for Greek mythology.
Good vid, great info but Gloucester is pronounced Gloster and Leicester is just Lester keep up the great work though.
I lol'd at the pronunciation of Leicester
I only wish it were really pronounced like that
Question: would you do a video about the Victoria Era? Or the war of roses? Maybe christopher colombus?
Really insightful video, do you think you might also make a video about French Revolution dating July 1789?
The narrator: the love child of Mr Sulu and an automated phone voicemail message?
Perhaps!

Elizabeth l deeeefinitely got her coolness from her Grandpa
my ancestor is King Edward II of England, so a Plantagenet, but it’s funny because i’m
so intrigued with the history of the Tudors, the people who ultimately killed off my ancestors
not so, Abbie. There are today people about who have Plantagenet blood.
I love these videos! Thanks for making them!!
A lot of interesting suggestions have I mentioned before. But there's many more. For example Andromeda in greek mythology :)
I wonder if he did orcus or horatius cocles
Brilliant to hear some stuff I didn't know about Henry VII! He's so overlooked!
Richard the iii didn’t retreat. He stood and fought until he was overwhelmed

I'm the original Tu, Tu, Tu-Tudor
Henry made Britain great again
*This made his father happy and didnt punished him severely*
Good documentary. I feel like Henry VII is not given enough credit as a great king.
He cries and give space until decides
Can you do videos about Gnosticism like Sophia and Yaldabaoth?
Tudors are cool
ah yes, The *_Fist_* Tudor King.
Big wrong- saying at 4: 28 - it is Edvard IV, not Henry IV.
Henry's father was earl, not duke.
Great nations are built on the sacrifice of their ancestors and efforts.
Where would England be today without Henry VIII and others
How can I contact you
I'm waiting for second part of Hanibal Barca 💙💙💙💙
I’m a Tudor under Henry VII.
567 years later...

Did anyone else hear this dude say HENRY the 4th when he was reffering to Edward the 4th? He even goes on to say his heir was also named Edward after he clearly said HENRY! HOW DO YOU MISS THAT!
chill
@@brigit.the.seagoat umm, it's history, & therefore should be accurate.
when you'll create Medieval History - See U in History of Henry V?
Great video but why the computer generated voice my 14th Times great grandfather was a chaplain to henry
So an English King, and a Tudor, almost sponsored Columbus to rediscover the new world…but was stopped by his council. Huh.🤔
He was a fantastic Catholic King!!!
As his reign was before the Reformation, EVERY Christian monarch was by definition Roman Catholic.
@@bluerock4456 He was a great catholic king
4:27 is that Henry iv or Edward iv. Because his son is Edward v.
Its Edward IV not Henry IV. Henry IV was the first king from the house of Lancaster and father of Henry V. He died in 1413.
the numbering comes from each successive king of that name (not necessarily from father to son)
Wait XQC ???
Try hysteria show, they gave the most entertaining history lesson in cartoon
I’m early I did the third comment. Also is it just mE because I realised it said fist not first

*DISAPPOINTED* you didn't bring up {my favorite tutor royal} Mary "queen" of Scotts. Would *LOVE* you to make an episode of the childhood of that wonderful, forward thinking woman who i saw a movie about named after her. {Your new channel's icon had me 1st mistake you for the "weird history" channel}. 😪🌏👨🏫🤴👨👩👧👦💐♟
Mary Queen of Scots father, James V, wasn't even born when Henry died. She's not relevent in a short video summerising her great-grandfather's reign.
He literally mentions a child being Mary Stuart’s father
Mary Stuart couldn't make a go of it in Scotland; what makes you think that she could have in England?
She was “deeply young” ?
His tenure is too short compared to the likes of the Supreme Leader of Iran and the African rulers
I am the 600th like :>
Peace and prosperity if you were willing to become a Protestant.
No offense, but is this an AI narration? If you are a real person narrating this, my apologies, but there is definitely something odd about the cadences of speech pattern here, as prolific as the information may be. The EQ could be a bit brighter also, for clarity. I'd be curious....
I am not Mary or the holy Spirit. I am Linda member of the trinity
My will is that you learn from my servants both you and your wife. Yes she is your partner but she is your equal. Learn and serve. Yes there is much for you to do to serve your people. Your forefather is Ephraim and you descended from king david😊
I read you you are afraid and in shock. The servants of the triune God give you space. They are some angels and some inheritors of eternal life. You and your wife are loved. Your wife is scared. She will not be pushed
😃🤔
Your wife is with you only
Ah, I see Henry VII was a man of socialism as well...
The world both of you knew does not exist
You need to learn how to pronounce Warwick, Gloucester and Leicester
