I went searching for a mailer in my stash today. I have to make one of these and if I get good results I'll be making lots of them. This is a very cool project thank you so much for showing it. Posted to Pinterest.
Love, love, love this idea. I have watched this more than once. When I find some tyke I am definitely going to make lots of these. They are something I could mail easily. TFS. I did.
Thanks so much Maria. Tyvek is great stuff. Now this was a super simple design, just 1 sheet, but with a bit of sewing, the sky is the limit. It could be cool for bigger purses or bags too. TFW
What a great project to do with my grandkids next month....they can make their own holidaywallets (plus maybe a little money from opa and oma...). Good idea, thank you Ina!
I LOVE this project!! I’ve always like the duct tape wallets but our hot and humid climate makes duct tape Layers slide off one another sometimes. Thank you so much for sharing! I’d love to see the first zebra print wallet style made from tyvek too. Thanks again!
Thank you Lesley and you can most definitely create other designs with tyvek. I may require sewing, but could be fun to do. Thanks for enjoying the project. I appreciate it. : )
This is a great tutorial Ina. I might even get my granddaughter interested in this. A girl can never have enough purses and wallets, right ?! :) Tyvek is such a great material. I use it for spine reinforcement on nearly all my albums. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Lyn. This design is so easy and kids can surely do it, You can probably make it even bigger and better. Tyvek can be sewn,so the sky is the limit. Thanks for enjoying the video. : )
What a fun idea Ina! My wallet is literally falling apart, lol. Unfortunately, our envelopes aren´t made of tyvek and I haven`t found it here. Maybe I`ll do a tape one. Tfs, Fia xx
Duct tape wallets are so fun to make...but Finland must have some tyvek somewhere !? Otherwise you can order it on Amazon, they have sheets, envelopes etc. Thanks for enjoying this idea Fia. : )
Wow I had no idea it was possible to make wallets out of either material .... fascinating! I really like the tyvek one you made ...the other wallets are fab too! Tfs Big hugs, Ginny xo :0)
Thanks Ginny Tyvek is great stuff, good for book spines too. I made these type of wallets for all my boys, manly ones, not too artsy LOL they love them. : )
Great video. What is the glue you're using? I was thinking of sewing one, so didn't consider glue. Any chance you could show us how to do inside pockets? Bifold with pockets opening towards the centre, not the top.
Thank you so much for watching. I used Tacky Glue for this project. I have never been an expert in wallet folds and have not worked on any new ones for a very long time, so please search out some other video for needed instructions. Have fun creating. : )
It's a combination of paper (cuts easily ,fibers (does not rip)and a synthetic binder, (water proof) Here in the US it;s used for envelope, clothing, building houses etc. You can buy it on Amazon. Thank you for watching. : )

Is tyvek a kind of paper?

Really cool Ina❣
Where do you get Tyvek from?
