Are those 3 CEOs and those board members all worried about losing their six figure salaries?
to help me understand this better if this happened would it be like NYC where the subway, LIRR and Metro North are all under the MTA
Raise the fares, and provide safer, cleaner service.
Wanna know why we losing money? Chicago still losing millions in lost revenue for privatizing the Skyway, the Parking Meters and I think even photo enforced tickets??
It won't work... I don't see Metra even being interested
GOOD! Don’t combine 😫. We have enough CORRUPTION IN THIS CITY ALREADY!
Combining them is the dumbest idea ever. If they do that, they'll raise the fare and GUESS WHAT, NOTHING will change!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Individually.. they still raise fares and nothing changes...
@@BIGGDUDE42 $5- 7 buses, L-- $5, Metra - $8-- $10....🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨✂️
Public transit is not supposed to be about making a profit. Transit is supposed to help move people from 1 location to another without using a car.
I use the metra and cta in Chicago to get around which I find fun, but the problem is that you have to pay them individually and that can be really expensive, especially for people who are living with minimum wage employment.
If they did combine their agencies together, expand their lines, and make the prices reasonable, they will most likely experience a slight rise in rider ship.
But based on the response of the CEO's, they're definitely to reserved to commit to this idea.
