17:08 this one. good lord. this used to be one of my favorite songs. after hearing this version of it in 9/11 footage it’s completely changed for me. so haunting. rest in peace to everyone who lost their lives that day.

16:29 she’s always a woman will always be such an upsetting song to me after hearing it playing in the plaza in 9/11 footage alongside the sounds of falling bodies and debris. just gives you a sad feeling thinking of those poor people and what they had to endure…thank you for sharing this video to remember the WTC. those buildings were iconic and beautiful.

I’ve said it before but I’ll keep aging it. This type of music needs to make a comeback in like stores and stuff I’d love going shopping at a grocery store and stuff with this type of music it’s far superior then the music one typically found in places.
Muzak really is just so amazing such an experience!
Thank you to the uploader for this gem!

Totally agree with you as for as how much we all miss having MUZAK ! It was a special ambiance we took for granted. It was everywhere. I dearly miss its presence today in
commercial environments, offices, airports, malls, grocery stores and pharmacies. Today-if there is music-instead of silence-sadly it tends to read as 'noise' rather than appropriate ambiance. MUZAK was indeed classic and timeless! I first discovered it in the late-60's. Always a huge music fan, I admired MUZAK's talent for creating quirky unique arrangements with dreamy counter melodies with the use of curious rhythms. MUZAK from fifty years ago would still function well if used today. Its magical ambiance is sorely missed.

This is amazing. I'm a huge romantacist, time capsule enthusiast, and a big fan of instrumental music, especially the 70s and 80s stuff. I was 9 years old when this happened, and even though I was across the lake in Ontario, us Canadians still were affected and trauamtized by the event. I often wonder how different the world would be today had this not happened...

You know what. I also always think that to myself as well questioning If the 9/11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks never happened how would not only my country of the United States be different but just the world in general as a whole perhaps. Think about it. Because If those buildings were still standing today we would probably still have the optimism of the 90s with us today. But the terrorists on 9/11 made sure that never happened though. Sadly alas!

Even though I was born in 1999, I still wish the twins were still standing and that the attack shouldn’t have ever happened in the first place. I’ve even caught myself wishing they rebuilt the twins. Just feels like even today something is missing, besides the countless lives that should still be here. The thought people lost their lives as these were playing is something I won’t get out of my head. You did a great job with this video!

Absolutely wonderful. Came across this video in my recommended section at a pretty emotional moment in my life and originally assumed it was some sort of joke, but I'm honestly fully calmed out now. Idk. This entire moment seems pretty surreal, def a memory I'll take with me from college. Thank you Pumpkin Patch have an amazing day

I was hoping "How Deep is Your Love" would be included. I can't listen to the original without thinking of 9/11 and that camera guy running through the debris while this still played in the background and sirens blared over it. Eerie.

Thank you for your question! There's actually a community dedicated to finding and preserving the music played at the World Trade Center. It's called the WTC Muzak Community. You should look them up, nearly all of these songs are confirmed to have played at the plaza, save for one.

All of these have been confirmed to play at the world trade center - I was actually the person who confirmed that Muzak Cover of Yesterday played at the world trade center, it played in one of the elevators in the South Tower in November 2000.
