If she never wants to marry, that is perfectly okay! Leave this young woman alone!
Maybe she's waiting 3 more years for Josie to turn 18 - especially after their parents came under fire last summer for Josie wearing an "unsafe" swimsuit at the beach! Maybe she feels she needs to protect her, and that's understandable! After that, I hope she leaves the IBLP and her parents' house - whether she's married or not!
Perhaps after years of looking after her younger siblings and her many nieces and nephews, Jana has decided that if she puts off marriage long enough, she won't be pressured to have a baby every year as the IBLP seems to encourage. There may be someone who comes along one day who will appreciate her for who she is and isn't looking to have children either. I hope that she is happy with the life she is leading now and has a bit of freedom to enjoy her hobbies and friendships.
Jana loves gardening and interior design, and her brothers sometimes helped her out! It's possible she could have made a career out of it, and she was denied that opportunity! It's terrible!
I think the single thing comes from the Bible. Somewhere Paul says it’s best to stay single but that if you can’t fight the sexual impulses to get married so that they won’t be sinful. Maybe Jana identifies heavily with the disciple Paul.
The Duggars use Bill Gothard's IBLP "Cult Bible" instead of the "authentic" Holy Bible that REAL churches use! Sexual thoughts, feelings, and desires are NOT "sinful!" Only actions get people into trouble!

She did technically. She did say she wanted to find the one, but I mean she may have changed her mind. Either way I’m a fan of Jana, whatever she wants to do.
The parents need her too much to raise their kids, plus she knows too much and might be staying to protect the younger ones or she knows too much and they can’t let her go, plus she has been a full time mother since she could walk
Josie has only 3 more years before turning 18, and I hope she leaves the IBLP cult and her parents' house after that - whether she's married or not! As for motherhood, Jackson once got lost at the airport, and when he was found, he hugged Jana instead of Michelle! I don't blame him, since she was MORE of a mother than Michelle ever was!

People only get married to satisfy their sexual desires if they are full on Christians.. whatever Jana has chosen I think it's time to leave her alone about it and move in to other things.. NO one likes to be pressured and she repeatedly and asked repeatedly about love and relationships! It would drive me insane!
The IBLP cult is called FAKE Christianity! "Full on Christians" are taught to be respectful, and MOST people don't get married just for sex! They also get married to have companionship and children! Sadly, in the case of the IBLP cult, ALL 19 kids were given the idea that they had to get married to get out from under Jim Bob's iron fist, but he STILL insists on controlling their lives even after that, and it's absolutely disgusting! I'd scream at people IF I was constantly nagged about marriage and parenthood! I'm a lifelong bachelorette by choice, whether my late parents liked it or not! I DO believe in marriage, but it's NOT for everyone, and I DID NOT "deprive" my late parents of the joys of grandparenthood!
