Uniball R:E+ Erasable Pen Set Review - New for 2019!

This is a 3 pen set that is composed of two erasable R:E pens and one Jetstream. The erasable ones are white and the Jetstream is black. It's a clever idea that is rather well done.

Uni also sold something called a "Fanthom" (pronounced as phantom) which was the same idea, except they were capped. It was sold under the Uni•ball brand so it must've been the American market version of this

I picked this up here in Japan. I find the RE refill unacceptable. With some mods, I changed this to the all black having a Uni Powertank 1.0 metal refill, and the other two are Uni jetstream 1.0 in red and blue. Now its a pocket EDC set for me.

I love that the case can be clipped onto a hardbound notebook or even a Traveler's notebook. I would have liked to see you pull on the clip itself to get a hint of the strength of it. Maybe you could in another video. I'm also wondering how strong the adhesive is, although it wouldn't stop me from making a purchase as there are ways to make it more secure. I also like that one of the pens contains Jetstream hybrid ink. I'm not a fan of Uniball RE ink (have yet to find one better than Pilot Frixion), so it's nice to see that the refills are similar in shape to the Pentel Energel, Zebra Sarasa, and Uni Signo refills. I would definitely mod it out with one of these. Saw the case in the other colors you mention; I'm interested in the pink and white. It seems like a convenient tool; three small jotter-like pens to have handy. Thanks for the video!

Interesting, really interesting idea. I would replace erasable refills with something else but it is interesting package.

If high heat will make the ink disappear, then will cold make the ink reappear? Like can I send a secret message to someone and have them put the piece of paper in the freezer so they can read it?
