This is an awesome pen which I discovered a year ago. Though the standard refills are ok, I find you can actually hack a Pentel Energel or Zebra Sarasa refill by shortening the end to make it fit. I got a Pentel Energel 0.7 refill in mine and it is a huge upgrade in writing experience! You won't be able to hack a Pilot G2 refill into it though, I've tried, the tip edge doesn't fit compared to to others. I highly recommend it!

How much did you have to shorten it up so the energel could fit?

I was on the fence on this one. Always skipping it each time. Now I want one. The white one is a better color. I wonder if a Ohto gel refill works for this one.

I have this pen in black and white. It is attractive but writing isn't as smooth as I think it should be. I purchased the refills on Amazon.

This looks to be built identically to the Pilot Coupe which I bought from Japan. The Coupe does have a few different colors and the only difference is that Coupe's clips are all a shiny silver. It's a very nice looking pen and competes with the Zebra Filare in looks. Although I give the edge to the Filare because of the nicer clip, this all-black version is a beaut too. I'll have to get this one because I know the clicker for this pen is good. The Filare, not so much.

I also got a couple pilot coupe pens while in japan. This seems identical, just another color. I want to get a few more of them just as backups but can't seem to find them now, at least not without a large markup

Yep it's the same pen I think, it's sold as a Coupe in Australia as well.

Loved these pens for years. Then at work we changed to 5.11 polos with pen pockets on the sleeve. The material is a little thick and kept breaking off the clips of my Axiom pens. Currently using a Zebra G750.

I love this pen and I keep returning to it regardless of my new purchases. It does come in a different option with chrome accents (collar , click mechanism and tip) . Although Pilot refers to the center of gravity refill as a ballpoint I believe it’s a hybrid since the ink is quite a bit more vivid and vibrant than competitive options . The ink can smear if you don’t allow it a little bit of time to dry so this may not be a lefty friendly “ballpoint”. I’ve been binging Unsharpen and that’s the one thing I’d add is a smear/dry test during the reviews .

I own this pen also. It isn't one that I go to often. Not exactly sure why. I find it to be somewhat of a chunky pen. The button end of the barrel and its weight is similar to that of Pilot's G2 Limited which I prefer of the two. I also prefer the medium tip, 0.7 mm, to the 1.0 that comes with the pen. I was happy that it came with blue ink, another thing I prefer. I own it in white as well; I believe they were being offered at a bargain price, so I grabbed two. What can I say... I'm a sucker for metal-bodied pens. Thanks for the video!

CORRECTION: "... the fine tip, 0.7 mm, to the medium, 1.0 mm, that comes with the pen."

From a fast look I thought it was a pentel smash, then I took a closer look and then it looks like a Bic Click.
Oh well, don't mind me, I haven't been out of this house in 4 days. Even the fish are getting tired of looking at me.
