Don’t mind that the authors trolled their audience; as the kefla fight was supposed to be against Gohan. But they were forced to Sacrifice the narrative for unnecessary Goku fan service(maybe due to investors?), as the way they choose to focus mostly on him doesn’t add anything but bull towards both him and the others.

Ultra instinct is such a creative and interesting transformation. It isn't just more absurd power to overcome whatever absurd power came before it; it's a mastery, a state of pure concentration that makes the fighter's moves almost perfect. No matter how much people hate on DBS, Ultra instinct will always be the most remarkable of Goku's transformations to me.

Agreed like, super saiya is iconic for sure, but end of the day it's an "my power has powered up far beyond the specific opponent I'm fighting" ultra instinct is a more technique power up, its in the name. The body just reacts reacts on literal instinct. It's awesome to see and the way they animate it is just perfect to me

@@henrikbartnes8424Last one vs Cell was Gohan, not Goku. He just imagined Goku being there to amp himself up, hence "Father & Son Kamehameha". The actual Goku wasn't even there, he was on King Kai's planet, already dead.

Main character goes up against strong character, main character is defeated or nearly defeated by strong character (who, no matter how much stronger, only *almost* completely defeats the main character), main character reaches deep and unlocks even more of a hidden power and beats strong character.

@@Camiel- Not really. Minions have always been speedbumps at best to show how much Goku has improved (Nappa, the Ginyus). For villains who were almost beaten but then ended up full power for a more dramatic fight (Frieza, Cell, Buu) it wasn't a case of 'but somehow they survived'. It was Goku wanting to humble Frieza, Vegeta wanting a good fight, and (arguably) Gotenks screwing around. No armor - just character driven reasons.
None of that matches Jirren, having run out of the clock on UI the first time it happened, not hunting Goku down and tossing him before he could get his strength back. "Brutally efficient" is the closest Jirren has to a personality trait. If nothing else he should have jumped in at the end of this episode when Goku collapsed and tossed him. But he didn't, because... just because. That's plot armor.
I swear to god Kefla is one of the most badass characters in all of Dragonball!
Also I get that the dub called it “Autonomous” because of lip syncing problems, but calling it Autonomous Ultra Instinct is like putting a hat on a hat.

Ultra instinct is something similar to what Bruce Lee said that let the body move and attack without the need for thought so Goku is still thinking to much and not allowing his body to act on it's own

did you know that in the manga berserk kale knockout like 50 to 60% of the participant before fusion with caulifla. Also the one who knockout kefla in the manga is gohan with the double KO.

The tournament arc in the manga is vastly different from what the anime gave us (I think it passed the story of the manga around Goku Black), and the power scaling in the manga makes way more sense than this. I loved Super and enjoyed the tournament, but part of me wishes that we would have seen some of the fights as they would have happened if the anime wasn't treated as it's own entity separate from the manga. Super Saiyan Blue also functions differently in the manga and they had to train and master the form, where it seems like it was already complete from Resurrection F when it was introduced and they just trained to get generally stronger with Whis.

the rail grind kamehameha is one of my favorite moments in all of dragonball.
The reason they can't dodge in midair is because flying is "turned off" in this dimension so it's just a normal jump.... although they pretty much will not give a crap about this rule and animate them as they are flying
I hate how everyone discredits all of Goku's achievements because of "plot armor." He's literally untouchable because of Ultra Instinct, but he only beat Kefla because of plot armor lol. And if you think about it, Gohan beat Cell cause of plot armor too.

Because BOTH Kale and Califlua are able to gain massive power spikes like it’s nothing. It’s not something that’s just unique to Kale like OP’s comment implies
One of the most hype fights in Dragon Ball for me. Easily my favorite fight in Super. I love the concept of the Universe 6 Saiyans - power levels are all kinds of fucked in Super anyway, so I don't really mind if they go from chumps to really strong real quickly. It's sort of just a Super thing in general. Caulifla and Kale are really good partners
PS: you don't have to include Autonomous in the UI name its just "Ultra Instinct." In the Dub they say autonomous but its actual name is "Ultra Instinct -Sign-" they also say UI Omen but its prefered sign.
I think the entire saga was good all of them had good moments but yeah the last episodes are epic the broke the internet so yeah

Here are my two dbs hot takes: 1. Forms like god and ultra instinct sign are cooler than blue and mastered ultra instinct. I think having forms with different hair styles is more interesting than what could basically be super saiyan with a color swap. 2. While I like the dub overall, I like the sub for the ultra instinct screams. There is a nice contrast between goku’s high pitched scream and the roar of ultra instinct but I grew up with the sun so I understand if you like the dub more
Main issue with the dub in dbs is the music, ruins it imo 🤣 and goku needing ui for kefla instead of gohan beating her in the manga is a bit eh for me

It's more like Ultra Instinct is venturing even further into the Realm of the Gods. SSG and SSB were like walking into the door, and UI is going all the way into the master bedroom or whatever.
Check the japanese ultra instinct roar, U can clearly hear oozaru roar in the background. In dub it mixes with Sean Schemmel too much

Kefla should have tested her power on other weaker opponents before challenging Goku. And even if she could go Super Saiyan 3, she still would have trouble fighting Ultra Instinct Goku
The two of them did test their power against Goku before fusing into kefla so your point is invalid maybe watch the show first
@@Samantha23478 I did watch the show. Kefla challenged Goku & ultimately she lost. Ultra Instinct is a level even gods couldn't reach. Kefla should have took out fighters from other teams & the other Z fighters other than Goku. Oh well, at least she wasn't stupid enough to challenge Jiren.

I find it kind of weird that in english was called Autonomous Ultra Instinct when I think in every language was called just Ultra Instinct and its like a redundant name.
It was because the lip movements of the characters in English didn’t fit when saying just Ultra Instinct, that’s why they added it in. It is irritating but they had to sync lip movement.
It’s never used in any of the games in English though so that’s pretty much confirmation that’s why.

Just remember, goku has plot armour, yes, but caulifla is the goku of universe 6, or maybe more. She learnt how to go super saiyan like few weeks before, then leanrr how to go ss2 on the fly in the battle. She has a gang also, whiles she's back if she learns super saipan god then ssb, she's almost on goku level wothong a year if even learning these transformations are possible

I'm just shocked Kefla didn't knock anybody out, when she went berserk shooting all the beams. It showed a couple of just our universe 7 people dodge. Next few episodes is getting the weaker contestants out, so the big boys can play later.
Its cos kefla/kale is basically broly, legendary super saiyan, unlimited power. Just has to have a trigger/zenkai boost to get stronger.

@@HossLUK I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes when it comes to dubbing anime, but maybe reanimating it would’ve been time consuming? *shrugs*
Even then, adding in autonomous to match the lip flaps doesn’t really take away from the technique itself.
@chaosshadic40 yea, it definitely would be time-consuming for sure, but i think it takes away from the name tbh. It's almost like saying the same thing twice since ultra instinct is, in itself, autonomous movement of every part of the body. But maybe that's just because i watched the subbed before the dubbed just because the dubbed took a very, very long time to come out. Regardless, i just personally wouldn't see "autonomous" as a part of the actual name of the technique. I see it more of an extra adjective thrown on top on the name just to reeeally get the point of the technique across to the viewer.
