I wasn’t getting the error message, but I wasn’t getting any water and dry grounds. I followed these steps and it worked perfectly! Love you guys, and I love my Gaggia. Just bought my daughter one. Thanks so much!
Hello fellas, I have an ANIMA GAGGIA with that same issue but it wont pass this function even after. it doesn't show the actual process when the system is priming. Any advice please??
Hi thanks for your brew group cleaning video and this videos they are great, thanks for posting them. I cleaned my brew group using the other video and later when i put the machine on i keep getting the error no water, and the red drop shows up i tried this method but still its the same message, how do i get rid of the error, my water resovoir is full
Hi guys, have an issue with this machine. Pump is primed. But when I hit the espresso button, everything seems to cycle correctly but the flow of coffee takes a longer time than usually to start dispensing and it's a short pour. Almost like it's being held up in the head of theachine somewhere. I just cycled it for pre-ground 1 shot and the volume in the cup was less than 10cc. When I opened the door and removed the brew head, water came pouring back out of the tube that the brew head sends the coffee though that goes into the front / dispensing spout) Pucks are also very watery. Machine has been recently cleaned and flushed, brew head lubricated. Approx 4 years old, used 2x daily. Thanks
Hi J, sounds like the internal spout needs cleaning due to a buildup of coffee residue. Here's a video showing how to do it: ruclips.net/video/GzNbpLTXlvc/видео.html it's a very detailed video. What you mention is explained shortly after 17:15 in the video. Cleaning the spout is a bit of a process but very doable. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself you can send in for service: Contact us here for that: support.wholelattelove.com/
@@Wholelattelovepage Thank you and yes it was the pouring chamber. Despite regular rinsing the Italian beans we use (I'm in Australia) are quite oily and after 4 years it was 🤮 up inside there. I managed to dismantle the machine myself (I'm a commercial refrigeration technician) yesterday and gave it a deep clean. Reassembled and made a perfect shot! There's not many suppliers here where we can get parts and service kits for these machines. I really appreciate your help and the video was exactly what I did, only I watched it after I was done 🤣 Thanks again 🙏🏼
@@jonathanc3112 You're welcome and thanks for the report. Happy to hear you got it sorted out! Extra oily beans can make the issue more likely - they are also more likely to cause grinder issues. If you can get your hands on it, you might consider using this product 1x monthly to help prevent problems due to coffee oil accumulation: www.wholelattelove.com/products/gaggia-coffee-clean-tablets-cfae181c-1f2a-4170-85fc-1f00acf75f21?variant=14409250635835
Hi, I've got the same problem, but when I go to program mode, turn the EV1 on and push the pump button, the numbers of of pump column don't go up. Could you please elaborate on why that happens?
Hi! I have the Gaggia Anima Prestige. Coffee is not coming out of the espresso valves, it's going into the grinds drawer. Can you please do a video on how to possibly fix that? Thank you!
Hi Alvin, Sorry you are having an issue. I'll try and do a video in the meantime use link below for a video on how to clean the brew group. It's demonstrated on a Gaggia Brera brew group which is essentially the same as the unit in the Anima. Cleaning the group may resolve the problem. Another common cause is coffee grounds plugging up tubes leading to the delivery spouts above the cup tray. Cleaning those may resolve the problem. To access the tubes you need to remove the sliding spout assembly. To do that, pull spout assembly all the way down then gently pull from behind the lowest part of the spouts at a slight out angle and down. The whole sliding portion of the assembly comes off in one piece. You will now be able to access the ends of the tube which deliver coffee to the sliding spout assembly. Using something like a pipe cleaner or Q-tip poke around in the spouts to dislodge residual grounds. Brewing blank shots during/after can help to get coffee debri out of those tubes. To brew a blank set coffee strength to the pre-ground setting and press a coffee button. This will push just water out of the tubes. Retaching the sliding spout assembly ins reverse of removal. Insert at a slight angle and push up and in. Here's that video on cleaning the group: ruclips.net/video/HGmfnGN_JQA/видео.html Hope that helps. @@Wholelattelovepage today, my anima prestige started pouring water out of the milk froth system instead of the coffee spouts when asked to prepare a cappuccino. That is, I got milk froth and then hot, water out of the same spout. Well, I did the steps in the video because it seemed easy enough although the process was for a different problem. Then I cleaned the group, removed the front thingy per the instructions in your comment, poked the holes up there with a toothpick , made some blank shots which actually came down dirty but most importantly, came out from the right spouts. Reinstalled the front thingy and now I am writing this enjoying a nice hot cup of rightly made cappuccino. Thank you very much !!
Hello! On my machine, when I do this procedure, the display turns red and nothing happens. The machine is brand new, i have just unpacked it. Is there anything else I could try before contacting the support?
Hello, nice videos, Something is odd, the same red warn is happening to me, despite the fact that the water keep coming out through the wand, the numbers on the pump column do not change, and i get this red warn. What could it be?

Whole Latte Love is 2 for 2 on fixes to my Gaggia Anima espresso machine. Great info without have to dig through the owner’s manual. Thanks again!
I tried this, but still regularly get the error code shown. Any ideas how to stop getting the prime error code nearly every time?
Olá. Apareceu o símbolo de um chave (2) no visor da minha gaggia. Sabe dizer o que é? Obrigada
Procurei no manual e só existe o código (1).

This didn’t work for me. The water can out of the steamer but still got the priming symbol.
Unfortunately this doesn’t help me. The screen we get to in this prompt just stays red. I’m not sure what to do next.
Like I have tried multiple times. It wont exist the water cycle sceeen when I take it out of the programming mode

Hi RP, try the procedure in this video. If not working then contact support.
Did you contact support? Any news? This is also happening to my machine, just unboxed.
That's exactly what's happening with mine right now
It solved my problem perfectly! Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Hi, do you know how to do that on Saeco Lirika? thanks
Hi GG, Sorry I do not. The procedure is likely very similar.
in the same way, button from the center to the right, first from the top to the left.
Thank you!

Hello, I faced the same problem as yours, the numbers of pump don't change. Did you solve this problem by any chance?
What do you do if water won't come out of the "coffee spouts"?
Same here. Hot water flows through side spout, but no brewed coffee comes through coffee spouts.
Hi there, when I restart the machine the drop is back on the screen and the ev is off when I go back. How does the ev mode stay on?
