718 Spyder early session at Club Motorsports Park, Tamworth, NH.

Track day at the beautiful Club Motorsports Park in Tamworth, NH. We start this first session of the day with a warm-up lap and then I catch up to John Canfield in his Honda Civic. I engage in a little sloppy driving, John gives a point by and then we begin to play.
OMG, I wish I had a rear-facing camera. John's Civic is a momentum car (low weight, lots of rubber, less power than my car). I have the power advantage but about a thousand pounds of weight disadvantage. In short, we can drive similar lap times but with two different lines. As such, on the open section of track, I extend a lead, but I'm slow through the tighter sections and that's where he crawls into my trunk and why I wish I could show you what i saw in my mirror for several laps.
It's such great fun to drive at this pace in close quarters with a friend with skills like his. I don't know if it makes this driving safe, but it sure does reduce the risk and add to the fun. ;-D
Along the way, you'll see a Mazda, Honda, BMW, Porsche and all sorts of cars...each quick in their own right. I love the NER/NCR crew for a lot of reasons and two of those is that they're friendly and inclusive.
