Still remember the first time I saw this game, it was at a Timezone in Sydney Australia. I thought the graphics were next level. They still do hold up pretty well all things considered.
Just played through it for the third time on my Analogue Pocket. It‘s just a fantastic game. Pixel art, music, wild over the top action, great weapons. Overall just tons of fun.
AVP Capcom is the best beat-em up hands down!!! Final Fight, Streets of Rage, X-Men, TMNT are good but this rules. Fight me on that one, I'll die on that hill!
I'll never forget the place where I'd play this game. It was a hole in the wall restaurant called "Pizza & Subs" They had Alien Vs. Predator, Super Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat II, and I think a NeoGeo MVS cab as well. I was in middle school. Me and my friends would go here after school practically everyday to play all these awesome arcades, and if we were lucky enough to have extra money, we'd buy some food on the side as well.
You mentioning AvP supports three players has me realizing I don't know if it's possible to in any way hook up three controllers to a docked Pocket. Anyone happen to know?
I knew it wasn’t late because I remember ‘1994’ on the title screen. It was already an old game by the time the 32-bit consoles came out, so that’s likely why we never saw a port.
Alien versus Predator is probably my favorite arcade game of all time
You have exquisite taste 👍
Love this game! I remember only getting to play it once at the arcade when i was a kid in 1995! I definitely played TF outta this in the pocket!
Love this! So many games that I don’t know the details on. What a fun evening of getting to know it. Thank you!
@PCN ❤ From Michigan Thanks to the core developers who bring all the magic you share with us 😊

the artwork on this gen of arcade games was the pinnacle in my eyes.

Fantastic! It's always a joy to play 😀
What happened to the Replay fpga?
Still in the works.
Every time I play the pocket I’m impressed how well the ram works. It’s just seriously impressive…
@@mavenaz1975 it's a marvel having this stuff in our pockets. Especially considering the size of the original hardware.

@@kejaris949 it's awesome. I'm a big SoR2 fan as well.
AvP, Final Fight, and Streets of Rage 4 are the absolute gold standard.
Alien vs Predator PCN? It keeps getting better bro. I love it. 8^)

@@HypnoGenX good point, I've never tried more than two ☹️
Too bad and sad this never got a home port?? It would’ve been an arcade perfect conversion with the 4 MB cart..
Very true, and I completely forget to highlight it in the video 🤦♂️
@@THE_MAQ355 It was an old game by the time the 32-bit consoles made a splash.
Slight correction there mate; this was actually one of the earliest CPS-II games. Being only the fifth!
Thanks Dave, I appreciate the correction.
