Have my EQS580 since Feb 2022, home charge station since April 2022 which was a true game changer, only needed to charge externel about 3 times since then

How’s it going ?
Re; buying elect off the grid to charge your car & then feeding it back into the grid when the power supply in the grid is low & requires feed in from your car battery.
This could lead to HUGE energy bills depending on the country you live in you’d have to be very careful not to get ripped off by your energy supplier.
Here in Australia you pay triple the price for the electricity you buy compared with what you get paid when the electricity from your car battery is fed back into the system. With smart meters allowing energy companies to reach into your home & take electricity from your car at a low rate & then charge you triple to charge it back up again at the whim of the energy company.
It sounds like a fantastic business model for the energy company and if I can think of it they no doubt have teams of people working on how they can do this without you noticing it - at least till you get your next bill. But by then you’ve already installed one of their “smart meters” & theirs no going back.
Charging the new Mercedes A250e every day at home. 68% of the total kilometers have been done with electric power so far.
Having the ability charge at home, with residential electric service at residential rates is an absolute prerequisite to owning an EV. This generally means single family home and or a dedicated garage. Condo and apartment dwellers generally are not candidates for an ideal EV ownership experience.
Unless they have a fast charger nearby

Congratulations on your new GLE450e-exciting times! ❤️ You can set the start and end times for home charging either directly in the car or through the Mercedes me app. For the most flexibility is it best to use the app to manage charging schedules remotely. Is the GLE 450e able to be scheduled to charge overnight? Especially since rates for our area are negative in the early mornings.
There is no dedicated feature to delay the charging starting time to benefit from the cheaper night tariffs. However, you can use the Charging Breaks (start/stop) if available in your. If available, only one feature (i.e., departure time or end time of charging time) is transferred from the vehicle to the App. For further help we advise contacting our colleagues in Mercedes me connect support via your App.
There is one tip: make the remote control of Mercedes so that it can be charged wirelessly when you put the car in the cup holder, and then the comfort system will increase!

Is there any way I can change my 2024 EQS with wallbox without the complexity of dealing with the app? Just plug and unplug like we do with level 1 charge?
Greetings! Absolutely, you can charge your vehicle using a wallbox without the need for an app. Just connect the charging cable to your car, and no extra steps required. It's worth noting, though, that the app offers extra conveniences like setting up charging schedules to benefit from off-peak rates, monitoring the charge status from afar, and getting alerts once the charge is full. To show the app with full (100%) percent charge at 1:01 is misleading as you would never do that. Unless you want to significantly faster lower your battery capacity over the time. While I'm at it, the app itself, compare to ABPR (A Better Route Planner) for example, is a total crap 🙂 Any planning of longer journeys is cumbersome (on border of uselessness), searching for chargers along my way practically impossible, even locate which charger I need to activate at the charging stations like fishing. I count myself as a happy EQE owner for over a year now, but the app... That's just sad.

Fact: More charging and decharging cycles (bi-directional) = more battery drain and less battery life
Slow charging like at home taxes the battery less, and charging a bit isn’t the same as charging from 0-100…
Also you can set the battery to only charge to 90% for example to further reduce degradation during daily use.

@@MaticTheProto i've been driving a BEV for two years and charging just sucks: Personal investment (solar panels, charging station, high power installation), from extremely slow to rather slow, battery capacity is only 70% (charging is recommended from 10% to 80%), you're charging daily, battery range is poor, especially during te winter, it's not cheaper...

To be honest amg now are not doing there job like I mean they look cool but they are not fast like if you watch drag races you see that amg are now so slow that you would lose interest in buying an amg car. Amg is making lose interest in Mercedes like I am 100% fan boy or lover of Mercedes but now they are snails they cant even keep up with their rivals such as the rs and m (Audi and bmw). If you see this amd please dont let me lose hope in you guys i love amg but you guys are so slow and to make matters worse. Your plug-in hybrid cars are slow amd heavy and not fast you just give us stats but no you are so slow i am beginning to lose interest in AMG. You are supposed to be that tuned Mercedes but no you are like detuning Mercedes and thats why people lose interest in you.
