@@turnpropoker you are a crack head. While there are some female athletes that abuse drugs, less than men. Most of these people are likely drug free. These people are not that big, the men or women. How many women have we seen the full natural strength and muscular potential of? How many legit scientific studies have there been on women’s strength and muscular potential? Not many. Competition speed excercising where bad technique can cause injury makes no sense, when slowly executed excercises are considered best procedure. While I respect the crossfit competitors, slowly executed excercises are considered best procedure -which is makes me wonder why they'd compete in this questionable sport because the sheer act of excercising at speed goes against sensible workout procedure.
You may be right about training... but this isn't training... this is competition. It's also not CrossFit, its Grid League which is all about speed. Here is an overview of the differences - ruclips.net/video/lGJHD2iHHjc/видео.html
Considering how much riskier other sports are like football, mma, skateboarding, etc… if competition is something people enjoy, this is a good choice for their future self. To take it a step further, 30 seconds of that movement is less risky that a full flag football game or even a tennis match with the amount of cutting and quick movement changes. There is always the option to sit on the couch and never compete… but many take a much higher risk to do so than these players.
If you are concerned about people getting injured while playing sports, your time is better spent on sports like Football, MMA, skateboarding, motocross, etc. All sports come with a level of risk as top performers are, by definition, pushing the limits of what is possible... but in terms of injury risk (especially serious injury) this sport is on the low end of the spectrum.
So many no reps on depth it’s dumb. The guy judge for palms is not equipped for the job. Within first 5 seconds lions win just from keeping standard ROM. This shows the complete inconsistency of the CrossFit competitions and quite frankly it’s trash. I love CrossFit and do it daily, however, I left this side for these exact reasons. I’m not one to enjoy loosing to the consistent standards of inconsistency. On top of that this workout is just flat stupid.
Great way to get seriously injured , anytime u mix weightlifting with speed and rushing is a recipe for disaster… U can’t possibly tell me their keeping solid form while trying to race and beat the other team, CrossFit injuries happen all the time and this is definitely gonna have it’s share of accidents
