    The market's direction can swiftly change, with indexes frequently transitioning from a bear market to a bull market precisely when the news is most negative and investor sentiment reaches its lowest point. I came across an article highlighting individuals who achieved profits of up to $150,000 during challenging market periods. Considering this, I am curious about the best stocks to purchase now or add to a watchlist.

    I just watched this again after I did various comparisons and SOXX is not even competitive performance wise with so many other semi conductor, ETFs, or mutual funds on the market
    It is very easy to get this information. Just wanted you to know.

    Nice video except you really need to add the mutual fund by fidelity FSELX to the comparison Because even though it is a mutual fund it beats all of those that you had listed also it proves the point that a higher expense ratio doesn’t always mean a better performance

  • @wallacesnow933
    @wallacesnow933 Год назад +2

    I've started investing in fidelity's fselx fund about a month ago. When everything is down this one is up 16 percent ytd. With 3 and 5 year averages of 23 percent. And it is still inexpensive to build quantity of shares at 24.00. I bought at 22 and add every 2 weeks. Hope it keeps up.

    • @ryandavis280

      i like fselx too but not many people are talking about it

    • @missouri6014
      @missouri6014 Год назад

      I also invest about 25% of my equity portfolio into FSLEX
      It beats all the other semiconductor ETFs or mutual funds and I am continually comparing those to each other and FSELX has one out here after a year
      An answer to why others don’t talk about this I think it’s because it’s a mutual fund and not a ETF
      Plus it has a very high expense ratio of .69
      But semiconductors are here to stay in for a big portion of one’s portfolio they should have a semi conductor mutual fund or ETF for sure
      I do wish FSLEX was An ETF but until something comes up that beats FSLEXI will continue to have 25% of my portfolio into that

    FSELX has beat both SOXX AND SMH, even adjusting for fees, back testing every year since SOXX’s inception (with the exceptions of ‘15, ‘16 and ‘17 where SMH beats it by less than half a point) and has the longest track record, dating back to 1987. And dividend yield as is the LAST thing you’d want to worry about in a chip stock. A company that would rather pay dividends than reinvest in their company is not growing at a rate you’d want with a fund as aggressive and risky as an all chip fund.

    So happy to see this new video but I have a question about a former one where you hyped SPYI. Did you realize that the dividend for SPYI has an ROC of over 90%. With that return of capital they are giving you back an extremely large amount of your own capital disguised as a dividend. I sold a large portion SPYI today! 😂

    • @maneugeni

      I guess her point was the fund dividend payments are designed to be more tax efficient 🤔 I assume you are worried about the erosion of principal? I would like to hear her response to your point.

    Hi Viktoriya, I am looking for a top semiconductor ETF that accumulates, and SOXX does not. Can you comment on which alternative would be best? Because for international investors, you may not know that when we set up accounts in US they charge us 33% on dividend!
