I received my Civil War 4k today and just watched it tonight. Such a beautiful film! Alex Garland went so dreary with his previous film, Men. Glad he learned and upped his game here. I, personally, love the story... it fits so well as an A24 release. But the cinematography is what you should want this for. The forest fire scene is spectacular.
The steelbook I ordered for The Boy And The Heron was delayed, hope it comes soon. But I'm not upset. If the first Studio Ghibli film is having trouble staying in stock... it proves to the studio that we want these films in 4k!

With a bit of a surprise, Boy Kills World does not contain HDR. My guess is the movie was produced without one.

Is the Dolby Atmos better then the German Blu Ray for Twister?
👍YES, this TWISTER 4K💿 🔊Dolby Atmos🔊 was far superior sounding with stronger LFE, much better clarity, range & height channels were used more consistently throughout the film & and another big positive was this new 🔊Dolby Atmos🔊 mix didn’t have any of the really unnatural sharp & shrill sounds that the Turbine Blu Ray had that hurt my ears!👌
😉I actually had a large portion of this video that I filmed talking about this exact thing & the differences between the Dolby Atmos mixes but I had to choose to cut it out & edit it down to save the length of this video & keep it under 40 minutes!

Another good set of new releases 😊… though I did suffer disappointment when I discovered the IF release wasn’t the old Lindsay Anderson film of same title 😢 … with the growing number of older classics appearing now, I do keep wondering if (pardon the pun) IF might be among them. @@LAvsMVP So Kino Lorber says it’s being planned for 4K💿 later this year & my guess is that it will be released most likely November/December time period, but once I get an official release date directly from the studio I will include it inside this ongoing video series!!

@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia awesome I was about to grab that blu ray and saw someone mention Kino was doing a 4K so fig I better wait, I've been on this kick of buying 80s and 90s movies I've never seen and that one was on my list
I saw Civil War in cinemas 🎥 the Atmos was great especually during particular scenes. Though agree it was Callous and didnt really have a proper story. After seeing it thought its kinda reminded me of "Contagion " interms of public predictive programming except Contagion 2012 had chilling and very accurate story line. They definitely predicted it down to even how they predicted people would react and turn on one another.
I'm looking forward to Sudden Death the most from this video. I'm genuinely hoping that Kino Lorber follow this up with JCVD's directorial debut THE QUEST on 4K UHD blu ray.
Yeah I can finally replace my DVD of Sudden Death. We definitely need more JCVD on 4K.
Any idea when the original Stargate movie will be released in 4K?
A message for marketers... I specifically look for the Dolby Vision/Atmos label first when shopping for 4k movies to add to my collection, if it comes with a 4k digital code that's a selling point and value I will pull the trigger on that will beat out movies that do not.
However, I have purchased a couple of 4k movies with expired codes that I have returned, because the expiration date was not posted on the ad or packaging. I think that's an important detail marketers miss when posting ads for disks with digital codes.

Got my copy of Twister the other day. The color grading takes some getting used too, but O BOY the atmos track alone is worth a purchase.
I just watched twister in 4k and the picture looked amazing but the atmos was on another level. It has one of the best Dolby atmos mixes I have ever heard. Right up there with Fury Road. Best of the year .
Civil War was such a wasted opportunity and disappointment. This film could have been done so much better.
