Don’t play in the dark too long.
Thanks Mr. Von.
To see all, from the darkest depth to enlightenment. The soul has learnt over time. In these times, they want us trapped, in the lower.
Keep balanced with love for everything you do.
I had a dream last night, I knew I needed to watch a podcast from my buddy theo. I needed some good energy to throw off the dark arts in my life. I didn't even realize it, but I needed to hear from you brotha
Talking about a guy who killed somebody: "More of a Slytherin than Gryffindor" lmfao
That shit was so funny
To be fair, I think most people would quite like to kill some other people if they had the power and they'd be no negative consequences.
@@someonesomeone25 Sounds like a projection
@@davyroger3773 Maybe. But the history of humanity suggests otherwise
@@someonesomeone25
Try to speak for yourself. Don’t try to justify your sneaky little violence by telling yourself everyone is like you.
I’d kill if I needed to. But taking a life isn’t something I’d enjoy.
Minimum necessary force in all circumstances, nothing more.
Theo starts his sentences without knowing what he’s going to say but improvises perfectly lol
Lol I totally identify lol
He's amazing at it. I wish I had the nerve to do this but it seems dangerous lol!
I do the same thing. Told a lesbian female inspector at work you won’t catch me watching brokeback mountain (forgot she was gay) she was taken aback whyyy not she asks and i was like oh uhhhh because it’s a cowboy movie lmao.
@@hintoflimetostitochip7978 being gay is cool and popular now...haven’t you heard? Calling someone gay is just as good as passing a compliment. Tell her how gay she is next time.
Pretty sure we all do that to an extent lol
Theo is a genius. Hands down. And I’m being dead serious. He can take a complicated subject and spit it out in a very relatable way to the average viewer. There’s a lot to Theo. No question about it.
Definitely
Sounds like he really works for it, too. A man who understands ignorance can better make use of his brilliance.
@@RyuuRider Reminds me of how Norm Macdonald said you don't want to be the smartest guy in the room, or i'd guess you don't want everyone to think you see yourself as the smartest guy in the room. At least not smart in a vacuum of no other useful admirable traits.
It’s a type of wisdom that comes from life experiences. Nobody can teach that.
Indeed, definitely more than what his appearence may suggest.

Peterson was appalled. You could read it on his face.
A stiff opening.
He has said this a bunch of times. It’s how to push a topic you start with something dark and it get less dark in comparison as time goes on.
You need to understand the way Leo’s comedy works he makes light hearted comments when situations are tense or dark. So he starts out dark let’s people go dark in conversation and then Leo makes jokes that go with it or seem silly in comparison to the topic.
Theo is so much smarter than he leads on. The way he phrases things is so weird but it makes sense
He's a poet man
Whenever I pick a random Peterson clip or a compilation of anything he always talks about making ourselves better, rise oneself to the occasions, take on responsibilities, doing something meaningful and people still hate him. I don't understand the world man
Then when you look at who society is praising...
It's not the world brother. It's an ever increasingly miniscule subset of literally mentally unhinged certifiable people who are the loudest and most embedded in our legacy media and institutions like Universities. Jordan said that there are no precidents in English common law regulating and compelling speech. And given that the most accurate depiction of these folks' freedom of expression of gender - which is in the vague language of the now passed bill C16 - can be referred to as simply fashion choices which other's now have to affirm and validate regardless their own political and religious beliefs. It's insane and belongs in some sort of psycho-examining film or something. It's grotesque.

@@IsraelCountryCube Romans 5:20 is a bible verse. Jordan Petersons comment (whether he intended it this way or not) confirms the bibles claim that grace abounds more than sin........For Christ to have overcome sin, his grace had to be much greater than sin its self.

Jordan Peterson is such a good dude and I was happy Theo had him on man, such a great segment. As far as "Darkness" goes just look at how nasty people were to Mr. Peterson when he had his health condition. The man's wife sits withering away from cancer, nearly dead and he was trying to hold it all down for his lectures, interviews, books (its his career after all..) And so a Dr. had him on Xanax which was having an adverse reaction on him & resulted in making him MORE anxious and ill feeling..this nearly destroyed the man! So instead of people being supportive or at least maybe trying to find the truth, they hop on social media and their self centered blogs etc calling the man a "drug addict" and loser, failure among other really nasty things. That alone shows you just how dark and lost so many ppl are...to attack Mr. Peterson, a man who has helped literally MILLIONS of people around the world, with such baseless and false claims should tell us all about those living around us. Im glad he's back. Ignore the hate Theo and Jordan!

He'll constantly stop talking as if he ended his point, and then as soon as the other person tries to respond, he talks over them and it's just more unimportant nonsense
@@dougtond1380 , as much as I love Burr, I can totally see your point.... Burr tries to monopolize the conversation at times by trying to be funny, which often includes interrupting. This Theo guy though has really been growing on me over the last couple years.
In the ending of True Detective season 1, Rust says - "The light is winning"
Everyone here suffering and things not going the way they should or are in their own dark place. The light is winning guys, stay strong. Do not give up.
Literally, if you look at global poverty & hunger over the past 30 years, or how often wars occur compared to a century ago. So it's not purely a moral statement; even statistically human values are growing stronger every year.
It's just that, as Jordan says, "the dark is plenty dark". We started in the state of nature, which is almost unimaginably brutal and painful to us today. So light is winning, but there was a _lot_ of ground to cover.

The reason I love Theo Von is because his brain naturally goes to hilarious places. He is talking about someone who killed someone and called them a Slytherin lmao
I totally agree with this. I had a heart attack 5 years ago. The lows I have gone are indescribable but the light I saw during my heart attack left me with an awareness that what is beyond is so real. I talk about it and even my own words sound so deep and sad. But its also amazing beyond words. I think it is the pull between the two worlds. It breaks my heart to look beyond, I am so attached to those here and chose not to leave. But Oh my God! There is so much beyond this world. I can't really talk about it without crying. For the deepest low, there is that much highest high.
Theo and Jordan's humor are unexpectedly compatible
It was kinda the same with Theo and Jocko Willink: you’re almost certain they’re not gonna jive together, but then it just naturally clicks and they somehow bring out these weird counterpoints in each other which makes for a truly great interview
I dont get the people who attack Peterson "the man", rather than his ideas. Its like finding out that a knight in suit and armor is actually a man with red blood underneath, so you no longer consider him a hero. Anyone of us can become dependent on a drug which a doctor that you trust has given you for years. Im actually proud he didn't just lie and cover up his issues like the hollywood world often does.
A legend in my eyes man, guys been through a lot and he shares his experiences so others can have an understanding if they ever find themselves in the same situation plus his overall desire to teach and help he’s a great guy
people dont understand how he wears his issues as an armor. He is not weakend by it.
We don’t have to attack “the man,” red meat did that for us.
Outside of his premises that:
1. you need to find ways to understand and maybe even enjoy the difficult things in life to ultimately enjoy a more complete life.
2. You can’t expect to solve other people’s issues while you can’t even “clean your room.”
The rest is just bible babble for people who want to feel superior to religious nuts while following the same stories and principles
I wouldn't waste your time worrying about people that hate Peterson and neither should he. He is an incredible scholar, has helped more people than some would care to imagine and should he feel content that he has a substantial following of good minded people.
Look at all of the celebrities that have had to rehab and people worship Charlie Sheen, Steve-O and so many others. These people that preach against Peterson are either up tight stick up your ass straight lacers or liberal, same class of people.
I’m so proud of Theo. He is doing some great things. So many people take him at face value, he’s so much deeper than that. Keep it up Theo!

I wanted to kill myself so bad, I really really wanted to die, and then I thought, ok, before I do that I should see what it feels like to not exist. I would sit in utter darkness, utter silence, eyes closed, no thoughts, and imagine I didn't exist.
