  • I got this cheap Ebay audio amp a long while ago and it never worked. I finally decided to give it a shot and see if I could fix it.

    "It's no longer junk". Haha, that's a matter of opinion!
    Having said that, it was worth the $2 that you paid in entertainment value for us viewers. Thanks for showing us the diagnosis and repair. I have one of these modules that is destined for a small guitar practice amp. I hope I got a good one.

    Hey dude , can I use a function generator at the audio input that has a max voltage output of 3 volts , for this circuit ?

      Oh my yes. You shouldn't need near that much. It should be fine at .5V or less. 3V should drive it into near distortion.

    I have swapped the resistors and now there is too low audio at output.

      All I can say is check the rest of the parts. Don't trust them to do anything right. Good luck.

    What is the diode value and specifications?

    • @AERVBlog

      The diode is just a 1N4007 rectifier diode. .6V drop.

    Nice video, how many watts is the output?

    • @AERVBlog
      @AERVBlog  2 года назад

      It is supposed to be14 watts but that is peak to peak so 1/2 of 14=7 times .616 or average gives you 4 watts. It is enough to drive a mid sized speaker pretty well.
