Great presentation! 👍 My Olympus camera always inspired me. So I have returned to my roots. Shooting with my new OM-1 is so awesome! One day I will have to attend one of Peter’s workshop!
Excellent video Peter. I fully agree with you on returning to a know location often. Every time you will be there you will see new things you haven't seen before and nature shapes it so differently. This is what I do so many times. I Love to explore and see what is new. I do this for both my Landscape and Astro / Northern Lights photography here in Northern Norway. I am very fortunate to have so many places to go to at my doorstep. And my truster Olympus gear is always with me. Lightweight, compact and razor-sharp. I love to work with the Olympus / OM tools. Enjoy Nature Peter. Cheers, Hendrik
I have been using a 14ft Wilderness Systems Tsunami kayak to photograph wildlife and different birds for several years, being so close to the water gives a great vantage point to photograph wildlife, it's not just a great way to photograph but being able to glide through the water is so calming and takes the stressors out of the body.
Great video! I love love love being in my kayak on smooth water taking photos. I’m a Nikon user but soon to be OM system user. I started with a Olympus film camera 45 years ago and I just have a need to back. Can’t wait for my box of wonder to arrive. Hopefully today!
Great video -- very well done. The still image, as always, are superb. I love your suggestion about going back to the same location and looking for different angles, etc. -- that can be a real boost to creativity. You made me hungry eating that chili -- there's nothing better than campfire food -- even if it's prepared at home and just heated over a campfire!
Very nice video/ awesome shots : curious about how you secure/waterproof your gear in the canoe. Also, what lenses do you utilize shooting in the boat (always a danger of them becoming “anchors”. )
Peter, thanks for a great video with your wonderful images of the Canadian Border country. Olympus is indeed fortunate to have your creativity speak for their equipment. I deeply appreciate your informative writings about Olympus equipment. **** Can you reply to say how the high viewpoint images in this video were created - - were they from a height of land; from a drone carrying an OM-1; or from a drone camera you can identify. Thanks.
I will put my question here since my email to om support i got was really unbelievable! To start with i found out that there isn't a Dutch importer no more and all the questions are re-routed to Germany, with a very long waiting time before you get a answer. I switched from my OMD-M1 mark III to the OM-1, for only one reason. I shoot mostly video and with the OM-1 we FINALY got 10 bit color, H265 HLG! We all waited for that a long time. HDR would have been better because it's more widely spread but still. Only to find out there are some serious bugs with that new camera. When editing video the last frame from each scene is shown as a 'freeze frame'. Wich cause every scene with a jumper. You have to edit every scene just to get that jumper out. For a video of 15 minute's (160 scene's) that gives you 30 minutes of extra work, beside the color correction. I have tried Final cut Pro X, adobe premiere, the problem exists in both. I wrote to your support in detail what happend and what the result was. After 4 weeks i had to send a reminder cause i didn't get an answer. 3 week AFTER that i finally got my answer and "solution".... Stop using final cut pro, that can't handle H265, what is a absolute lie since FCP was one of the first that DID handle H265. But that wasn't just it. Your support continues with " stop using 10 bit, stop using H265, stop using HLG." So WHY did this new camera came on the marked then????? I really hope YOU will come with a satisfying solution or firmware update?
Wow! Loved seeing your playground. Beautiful scenes
WOW, just wow! This is something your kids can come back to again and again after you're gone. Their hearts will smile.

is your om 1 getting hot while using for photo?
also can you hear the battery "working" electric sound while turned on?
