Well done Henry - I haven’t got bored with you like I have a lot of photography RUclips channels. The fact that you use similar gear to the majority of us (Sony A6700 in my case) makes it more relatable allied to your natural enthusiasm plus you don’t seem to be constantly inviting the viewer to “comment below” which we all know is just to appease the RUclips gods. Keep it up! 😊👊🏻🍻
Another awesome video. Thank You. The OM 5 was a purchase after watching your review and purchasing my own. I absolutely love it. I know it has traveled with me and I have gotten some awesome shots with it. Like you, I use Nikon, primarily, but the light weight OM5 has made it a more used camera. Thanks again.
Hi Henry, it's been a while since I've commented but I have watched and liked every video you've put out since you were in New Zealand. I'm in my mid 70s and watching you videos always encourages me to get out with my camera. So I want to take this opportunity to say thank you and well done. Another nice video and images 👍
Thanks, Henry, these were some of the best photos in my opinion, on one of your walks. I think the sheep would make a great photo in next years calendar.
Did the Cumbria Way in 1999. Stayed in Coniston, Langdale, Keswick and Caldbeck, walking (slowly) over five days. Langdale to Keswick and Keswick to Caldbeck was soooo wet, but the scenery was spectacular. The last day into Carlisle was a bit of an anti-climax. If I were to do it again, I think I would go north to south. Great memories though. Photos then were on an Olympus Mu 35mm compact. Now dappling with Lumix M43 and the OM Systems pro lens, which is amazing. Thanks for sharing your Autumn day, and for the lovely 2025 calendar.
Hi Henry, great to see lovely blue sky, fluffy clouds and sensational colours of the trees and bracken. At present in Sheffield the sky is heavily cloaked in stratus and has been for many days. I'm usually prepared to be out with my camera in all kinds of weather, but I think I've lost the heart a wee bit because of the persistent cloud cover. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the first glint of sunlight; my gear is packed and ready for the off. Thank you for sharing your walk around Coniston Water, Henry. My favourite photograph are the two oak leaves; it says it all.
Hi Henry enjoyed this video.on a different note if you get the chance to borrow or buy the 12-100 Olympus do it you will love that lense ideal for you.
I absolutely love this vid, really makes me think about composition when you are surrounded by all that beauty, but rather than look at the whole frame, take a look a bit closer. Thank you.
I love the fact that so many of the Olympus lenses focus close so I can get those close, intimate shots as well as landscape shots. Another great video, Henry!
I've only bought one lens from MPB, but it was in better condition than described! It was only listed as Good but it looked like brand new! 😮 I would definitely use them again, and I appreciate them giving back to the community by sponsoring quality content like this, cheers MPB 👍
Glad you’re out with the OM5, Henry! I used my EM1 mk iii yesterday, which was my fav camera. Found I was wishing I had the OM5 instead with me!!! It’s become my fav camera! I wear glasses, but have tried contact lenses. Didn’t work for me, but know the joy when you can actually see! To switch between EVF and Live View on OM5, Menu: Cog wheel I [i], EVF Auto Switch, On2. Then when you move your eye from EVF to LV, it comes on, and vice versa.
Sorry I missed the live chat last Henry but very much enjoyed today’s video. The autumnal colours were looking great and loved the light you captured in the image with the shape and really liked the abstract at the end too
Hi Henry, great video, mate! You demonstrated so well that it is not all about the camera or the sensor size to get good photos. And these MFT sensors have got quite good meanwhile, I have to say 😊 Thank you for the video and nice greetings, Christian
Hi Henry, another grand day out thanks for sharing ... ah yes the old D7200, good old faithful and a shame it had to be retired due to an early bath. Wonderful light and a super setting, particularly at Kelly Hall Tarn. I have to admit that going between cameras is hard enough, never mind from FF to M4/3 ... it'd give me bad case of "maths headache" depending on what I was used to using most of the time.
Thanks for the video. Congratulations on getting your vision. A couple of questions, how far did you hike? And how do you dress for fall weather? I find it frustrating to deal with fall temperatures. Great images.
Every time I watch one of your brilliant videos I wish I lived somewhere around your area. Those walls and houses and fences made of old stones are just amazing, and then there are all those hills and lakes and the whole scenery, so fascinating. You should not only put the beautiful photo with the sheep in your next calendar but every other photo as well. A 365 day calendar maybe?
What a pleasant days walk and some good images too. Liked the panorama and Tarn shots.I am sure i have walked by that barn at 2:24 and had something to eat and put money into a honesty box in past. Great live video yesterday Henry by the way.
I'd never even noticed Kelly Hall Tarn on the map before - what a little gem! The "big gaff belonging to some Victorian gent" is, I think, Brantwood, the country home of John Ruskin. Ruskin was a very important figure in his day, being an artist, poet, and critic. The house is open to visitors and I think you'd enjoy seeing his paintings of the area which are on display. Something to do when conditions are not right for photography.
Fantastic vlog Henry, I really love the longer "hike + photos" videos that you're sharing with us now. Looks like a lovely hike to try out on a future visit to the Lakes!
In the Montréal ,Québec, Canada area we had a couple nights of solid frost and most of the leaves have fallen off the trees. But today we got up to record temperatures, 24C. Great day for Halloween!
Thanks for another great video Henry, some brilliant images especially at the tarn, do you not get worried not having a strap on the OM5, because I am paranoid I going to drop my camera even though I have a strap on it
You need to head down south for the colour. We didn’t get the same hit from the storms and the colour started later so still plenty of colour around with the Oaks only just colouring up now.
Om5 on the list if OM offers a great Black Friday sale (camera or camera and lens combo)! Would seriously look at MPB, but they (US site) don’t ship to Canada without a lot of fuss (you have to deal with customs etc instead of them doing so as some vendors do). Wonderful video!
It sounded like you were saying "town" talking about the small bodies of water. I learned what a Fell is listening to you, so what is a "Town" if that is what you were saying. Always enjoy your videos.
Henry, check the links on your webpage because the link to your prints from the menu at the top doesn't seem to be working. And nor is the one from your ebooks page to the prints page. Cheers - Trevor
goin to put that location on my “things to do list” 👌 some cracking shots as per young man keep up the good work 👍 if you see a fat bloke wondering round please come over and say hello 😬 PS am auld school and don’t do this “on line payment thingy” however of if I ever see ya int lakes al defo stand you a coffee or make u one in me camper 😎
Jesus Christ Henry…I get a wee bit nervous watching your vids, please consider a wrist or neck strap whilst dangling over over with yer camera..i use Nikon and Olympus and ALWAYS have a wrist strap when near water..🙂

Just purchased your calendar mate. Am I too late, or will it be signed.

Colin, spot on! Henri, continue with being you 😉

I love the oak leaf square crop shot. So easy, when in glorious surroundings, to miss those intimate details.

Thanks so much Len, I appreciate the support especially for so long and cheers for taking the time to leave a comment!

Thanks John!!
That shot of the sheep is great! Really cute but also a quality shot. 🙂
Thanks, Henry, these were some of the best photos in my opinion, on one of your walks. I think the sheep would make a great photo in next years calendar.
Thanks 👍
So happy to hear about your vision - that must be a huge relief for you! LUV that sheep image!
you can always have a second bag for the Olly kit packed ready to go.😄😄😄

I hope so too!!

Totally agree and thanks a lot!

Great looking little lone tree on the horizon at 11:36, framed by a lovely cloud. That's the type of shot I seek out whenever I'm out😀

Congrats on the eyesight, that is the best news! And what a stunning location you chose to celebrate it, love it!
Thanks so much! 😊

Thanks! This was around 7km and I try my best to wear layers and pack waterproofs
Great video. Super location and excellent shots.
Thank you so much 😀

Another vote for the 365 day calendar :-) Kind regards, Guy.
Thank you very much!
Love that shot @ 28:50, I'd have that on my wall any time 💙 Another great trip out Boss, thanks.

Beautiful images!
Many thanks!
Another great video mate. Any advice for someone starting out their channel? All advice welcome!
Thanks! Consistency!
You need to head down south for the colour. We didn’t get the same hit from the storms and the colour started later so still plenty of colour around with the Oaks only just colouring up now.
the OM-5 is in my budget for Feb. collecting lenses now and shooting em10 mkIII
You will love it mate

Thanks, from Cameroon
Thanks a lot
Maybe buy a decldicated bag for your OM set up?
Really enjoyed that mate, thanks again. I was urging you to slow down a bit, I thought you were gonna burst a lung 😂
Bet those herdwicks were saying “bugger we didn’t get him with the poo this time, always next” 😂😂. Great video, liked the leaf pic 👍
Thanks mate!

Thanks! A "tarn" is a small lake that's often often, but not always, higher up in the mountains

Thank you Trevor I will look into that
You must have visited the Three Shire Stone at some point, Henry. If not, make it happen.
Lots of familiar haunts today, Henry - Well, it is Halloween!!!
Brilliant! Thank you Henry.
With all these weird names i thought i was watching a deleted scene from The Lord of the Rings.
goin to put that location on my “things to do list” 👌
some cracking shots as per young man keep up the good work 👍
if you see a fat bloke wondering round please come over and say hello 😬
PS am auld school and don’t do this “on line payment thingy” however of if I ever see ya int lakes al defo stand you a coffee or make u one in me camper 😎
Class mate, thanks a lot!!!
👍📷😎
"There's a couple of tarns up here."
Don't disturb them if they're nesting.
Henry, you know you shouldn't leave cameras and lenses in camera bags for weeks, they will get fungus, camera bags are the worst place for lenses :)
please use a strap! my hands are sweating! haha great videos!!
Jesus Christ Henry…I get a wee bit nervous watching your vids, please consider a wrist or neck strap whilst dangling over over with yer camera..i use Nikon and Olympus and ALWAYS have a wrist strap when near water..🙂
