This is what arena shouldve been. An add on/DLC for ~20-30$ (free for EOD) where players can just spawn in with preset kits and run around a small map like ground zero or portions of a normal map like customs big red area, not some bootlegged esport TDM where the maps are as big as a 2x2 sandbox. This would've been much more attractive to casual players because they have to start on ground zero anyways for tasks, so why not let them pvp with arena kits to help learn the game and have fun? to this day i have no idea why they kept arena so separate from the base game. what a huge waste of potential. If arena was more connected to the game where it used real maps but cool game modes like king of the hill, capture the flag, FFA, or even battle royale it would've been a gold mine. like imagine just a FFA with 10 people in dorms? It would also be less work for the devs because then they don't have to worry about designing new maps, just add boarders to cut the normal big maps into small portions for condensed PVP and add in new UI for new game modes. Even with the arena we have today, it would've been much better off with maps the same size as ground zero, like why are the current ones so small?
